I'm doing a food tour of Smyrna (there's so many great spots) and this was on my list! I really enjoy all food from the far East so include Vietnamese in there. VN Sandwich is a charming casual restaurant that you can stay or take away your meal. The team is helpful to explain the ingredients, what pairs well and to avoid allergies. I wanted a matcha latte but they don't serve non-dairy milk! Only Whole milk versus coconut, oat or almond milk is a miss so I deducted a star. The order took under 10 minutes and they called my name to the counter. The packaging was clean, well prepared and easy to carry out. At home I unboxed my meal. Everything looks great and the taste was even more than I expected. My Spring Rolls were fresh and come with a peanut sauce. The Kiwi Tea was refreshing and not overly sweet. The Banh Mi beef was amazing! The bread was soft and flaky, the toppings were fresh and beef was seasoned. No dressing or sauce required. I came in at lunchtime on a Sunday. So not a busy time at all. When I arrived, I was the only patron there, but more people came after I ordered. The two ladies in the front were busy- one washing dishes and one seeming to sift through delivery order tickets. Once I was finally acknowledged, it took a while more for one to take my order. I was about to turn around d and walk out when she finally took my order. Point being, customers in front of you are the priority. Moving on to the food, I had the pork vermicelli which they serve in a big bowl (probably usually used for the pho). I enjoyed my dish. The pork wasn't too fatty and the toppings (mint, lettuce, bean sprouts, and pickled radish and carrot) didn't overtake the dish. Overall, I enjoyed their vermicelli better than a recent competitor in the Smyrna. I'll try them again but if their customer service isn't better, that'll be my last time. read more

Cute little restaurant in a strip mall. I ordered an iced salted coffee, fried egg Banh Mi, and pork egg rolls. Unfortunately, I was given a different sandwich. It looks like they gave me the Special Banh Mi, instead of the fried egg. I believe it was missing the meat floss and pate, but otherwise it looks like a regular Banh Mi. I had also asked for no jalapeños, but there were a few (no biggy, I just picked them off). Everything was really yummy. The drink was just the right amount of sweetness, with that rich coffee taste. The pork egg rolls had a good amount of filling, though I wish there was a little more sweet chili sauce. The sandwich bread was a little dry/hard, and I thought maybe it could have had a little more filling (probably if the floss and pate were on it, that would have made the difference). It did have two different pork rolls (cha lua and thit nguoi? Sorry if I misspelled). The flavor of the pork rolls was 10/10. I will be thinking about this food until I go back lol.. I definitely want to try their other menu offerings as well! Pricing was good, considering everything is so expensive now. The restaurant was easy to find; right in a small strip of stores right off South Cobb Dr. The place was clean and well lit; featuring the full menu posted on the wall. I was greeted and welcomed in. I took a little time to read over the menu, and I finally settled on a bahn mi with grilled pork, 20 wings; 10 lemon pepper and 10 barbecue spicy with fries. There was an option for fried rice with the wings. I'll try that next time , when I come back for the pho. Everything was fresh , hot , and nicely cooked and seasoned. The bread for the bahn mi would be great on its own, with butter . There are many drink options to choose from; teas, tropical juices, and sodas. Overall, I really enjoyed the food. Everything here is top notch. Everything is made fresh and the only downside is your food is so hot since it's straight from the kitchen you often have to let your food cool down and can't just eat it right away. I really love their sandwiches, especially the combination. Beef version was mid. Eggrolls were crunchy and crispy. Thai tea has a great mixture. The sugar cane thought has a taste of lime in it. Restaurant looks semi clean, but the food is not clean. The owner here charges more than what it typically cost for the same food in surrounding areas. I don't mind over-paying, but at least make my food hygienic because we went with a group of 6 and we all got sick afterwards. I had to go to the clinic the next day as my stomach was hurting so bad the night before I couldn't sleep. Felt like vomiting. My friends puked for 3 days straight bc they didn't want to go to clinic. I went so I felt better after seeing a doctor. Their food is dirty and the old lady owner is rude. We heard her yelling at other customers, but those customers were nice and didn't say anything. If old lady did that to me, I would've talked back to her lol read more

I took my Vietnamese friend there for Pho, it's his favorite. It smelled so good. He said it was authentic and was very good. They offered 5% off if you paid with cash. I wish more restaurants did that. The staff were very nice, and it was very clean. I really recommend the Pho. read more
