My good friend came across this place on line and ordered for me! So I went on my walk and was delighted to come here. They have so many Bakery items, it reminds me of many places we have like this back home in California. I ate 2 items of the 5 that I got today. The Bolillo Relleno Chorizo y Queso was really tasty! I also had the Sugar Donut. All freshly made!!! Neat to see the big area in the back where they make the items. The lady at the front counter is really sweet and helpful! I can't wait till I can try the Bolillo Relleno Jalapeño y Queso and the strawberry cream cheese pastries! Well, it's time to get back on my walk. Will be returning here soon! I can't believe i didn't see this place sooner. Please come by and get some when you can too!!!

A true Latino bakery. Located in a primarily Hispanic part of Lincoln is Pan Dulce bakery. They have at least 40 different types of breads cookies and cakes. So many to try. I started with a sweet bread and some firm of a cookie. Both were delicious and this is definitely someplace I would come back to, so I can try some more items One can only eat so many cookies in a week...

One of our favorite spots to grab a treat. My kids love to grab a tray and pick out all their favorite goodies. We especially love their conchas. We've gotten whole tres leches cakes a couple times for parties and they have always been a hit (they're seriously so delicious). Everyone that works there is always super nice and helpful as well.

Thanks to my Spanish professor, I am now in love with this place. Upon entering the bakery, I was like a little kid in a candy store. The smells were tantalizing just as the cases of fresh baked authentic Mexican pastries were visually pleasing. You grab a tray and some tongs and have at. Once you've collected all your goodies, you bring your tray to the counter where everything gets bagged up. Everything is super cheap as well. The cakes are super moist, the breads flaky, and the cookies savory. Don't let the location stop you from coming in and paying this place a visit. Your sweet tooth will definitely be satisfied. ¡Muy rica!

Nice selection of pastries; probably the best jalapeño bolillos I've had anywhere due to the quality of the bread.

I wish I got there before 2 PM because they stopped serving lunch by the time I walked in around 3. Now I know I must go back! They had gelato, dessert, fresh baked goods including different types of sour dough, muffins, cinnamon rolls, etc. They even had stocked refrigerators with "take home and bake yourself" goods as well. I ended up getting a huge premade sandwich that had sprouts, tomato, turkey and cheese on a sesame roll. It came with chips. My total was $12. That sandwich lasted me the entire day. I ate half for lunch and the second half for dinner, that's how big it was! The sandwich was delightful and tasteful. I loved the sesame bread it came with. It held all of the ingredients together nicely (did not fall apart, which is always appreciated). Plus, the sesame seeds also did not fall off which I was pleasantly surprised about. There are tons of seating options available inside and outside. The employees were very friendly too. I am looking forward to coming back to try their soup and sandwiches during lunch hour!

I searched Yelp for bakeries in Lincoln, ordered by rating and came across Emma Bakes. My first concern was that the reviews were from a year ago and later so I called to make sure they still existed. Once I confirmed I checked the map and found that they are located on O street. This left me wondering what parking would be like, but then I remembered I lived in Nebraska and even if it was street parking only I'd have options. Their location is on the South side of O street and comes complete with plenty of off-street parking. The shop is small but has a nice bright yellow sign out front and an yellow interior accent wall inside as well as plants and pastry cases. Each pastry is made on site and comes in its own resealable packaging. The proprietor, who I expect is Emma was kind and helpful. I selected 4 items and headed for home. I got an egg tart, a sausage and cheese bun, garlic bread, and a strawberry and cream cheese pastry. I started with the sausage and cheese bun, the non-sausage parts were a bit salty, not in a bad way, just a bit off. The sausage looked more like a hot dog than any special type of seasoned link. I have to say, after eating this I was concerned about the other items (I'd give this item 3 stars). Next I tried the egg tart, it was the last one in the store and the star of the other reviews I read. Oh my goodness, this was incredible, the crunchy-crispiness of the crust and the creamy subtle flavor of the center, it was perfection. Had there been more in the case I might have gone back and ordered a half dozen. Once my wife got home we split the strawberry pastry, it was also a solid five stars, great homemade filling, light flaky pastry dough, delightful. Finally, I cut into the garlic bread, it had quite a lot of cheese inside, tasted great and had a strong garlic kick. Overall, I will be back, either when they open or just after 1pm when the afternoon batch of pastries comes out of the ovens. Oh, and I should mention, they offer Banh Mi as well, I'll have to try those as well next time.

My favorite place to get banh mi since she's opened! She's so nice to my mom so bonus points!!read more
