The Haymarket location is a dream! Although I miss when they had a full cocktIk bar, it's still nice to get coffee and delicious homemade treats. The ambience is wonderful. read more

Brownies were good but the tiramisu tart was so much better. It was the best tiramisu tart I have tried and I highly recommend if you like tiramisu. I also tried a dirty chai latte with almond milk, but will probably try the chai tea latte next time. My son loved the nicer doodle cookie and my daughter loved the gluten free chocolate chip cookie. Service was great and the ambiance was amazing. It had so much work in the ambiance that I could appreciate. The bakery is located down some stairs under a bar. I almost missed it driving by, even though there were a few banners. Street parking available or there's a parking garage a few blocks away that has one hour of free parking. read more

Friendly place with tasteful items. A little small and dark tho. Harder to find. The strawberry cake was wonderful!!

We discovered The Rabbit Hole Bakery late on a Friday evening while we were staying in the Lincoln NE area... Our traveling companions were celebrating their 31st wedding anniversary and we saw online The Rabbit Hole Bakery offered individual sweets and cake by the slice. Parking can be a little rough in the Haymarket area on Friday and Saturday evenings, but we got lucky and found a spot on the street a block and a half away or so. It was about 20 min to close so we grabbed a few items to go. The items can seem a little pricey... $4 to $8 ea, but everything tasted fresh and we enjoyed everything we tried. 2x Chocolate mint brownie 2x Tiramisu tarts 1x Slice of carrot cake 1x Slice of German chocolate cake 1x Piece of German chocolate cheesecake. The atmosphere is cozy and I could definitely see enjoying a cup of coffee and a plate there in the bakery space on a different day... Sitting below street level it's decor is mostly dark wood and dimly lit outside of the front counter area. I hesitate to say romantic, but looking back into when I was doing the online thing..., it wouldn't be a bad spot to meet someone for the first time before committing to a formal date... You know what I mean? read more

I ordered the avocado gluten-free dairy free brownie yesterday. It was very good not overly sweet but the spot I enjoyed. I was a little bummed out that they don't open a little bit earlier to grab some coffee before my meetings. Maybe next time.. I went back today and got another brownie 5.95 so that I could eat it on the airplane. I was a little disappointed, I couldn't try the coffee with the dollar latte coupon I had because they did not have any decaf coffee as it was 5 PM at night as I stated maybe next time. Ambience is really cute. It's all Allison in Wonderland has a huge bookshelf. I didn't take a picture, but it seems like a really nice place to kinda hang out and have a dessert and coffee. Both times the service was good read more

I had this on my list for things to do on my birthday. But we got there about 6pm on a monday night. My husband said it was the best carrot cake he ever had. And i had the tiramisu tart which was very good. But we went in for the mint brownie and a cinnamon roll. What you need to know is they only do certain items on certain days. And we were in town for just a couple day. Oh well. Next time. read more

This was a really fun, Alice in Wonderland themed basement location, with very friendly customer service and delicious pastries.

We popped in for a quick breakfast and were a little late to the party. There were just a few cinnamon rolls left on a Saturday morning, and I understand why you'd wake up early for them. So fluffy and rich! The espresso drink menu was extensive (and they have cocktails). We just grabbed our rolls and enjoyed them on the patio. The inside is very cute and decorated with an Alice in Wonderland vibe. read more

I stopped by here within an hour of them closing, so options were limited as to be expected. I snagged a couple of cinnamon rolls for my boys, and was really tempted to grab a few of their macaroons. The girl working that night was very sweet and took care of my checkout very quickly. This bakery is very quaint and decorated cutely inside. I definitely want to come back and try some of their carrot cake because it looked amazing! read more

Tiramisu was good, blond brownie was harder than a rock. Why would you serve a dry, hard brownie?

Nice place! Was bit confusing to find (I'm not from here) it's on a lower level below the street however we managed to get in. Took the kids for a hot chocolate (which btw was pretty damn good for hot chocolate) to warm up and walk around Lincoln. Their pastries looked great too regret not getting something sweet before leaving. Lots of space and seats in here for a relaxing time. The young lady that helped us was friendly and pretty quick at slinging out 4 hot chocolates for us! I would recommend this place! read more

I like this place and it is kind of convenient because it says in the name rabbit hole and it is in a hole. But to the business the Maroons and the cakes and the lemon tarts are so good but the lemon tart was super sour and the prices are OVER THE ROOF! But the service was amazing the lady was so nice and celery was kind of sketchy. read more

The Rabbit Hole Bakery (awesome name too), is a very cool spot in the Haymarket section of Lincoln. The Rabbit has amazing cake by the slice, cheesecake, cookies, and other sweet treats, plus excellent coffee and tea. Also, the Rabbit offers solid wine, beer, and cocktails. The Rabbit staff is always friendly and helpful, the space is well laid out and comfortable to relax while enjoying a drink or treat. The Rabbit also is great for helping arrange take out orders for special events. Give the Rabbit Hole a try when in the area! read more

Very cute and cozy cafe. The location is central but the entrance was a bit hard to find. Took advantage of the day-old pastry sale to get the lavender scone. read more

This is the cutest bakery in the Haymarket district. Loved the wonderful aromas that greeted me when I walked in. I really just wanted a drink (got a Bombay Chai - subtle Chai flavor; really lovely), but ended up with a mint chocolate brownie and an avocado brownie (gluten-free; sounded interesting so wanted to give it a try). Love the decor and coziness of the place and the staff was friendly and helpful. read more

What a fun and funky place. Ordered: Chocolate chip cookie White wedding cake ball carrot cake slice Cinnamon roll Mint chocolate brownie Highly recommend! Enjoy. read more

Located in a lower level it can be easily missed. Extensive variety of items make it truly hard deciding what to order. Cinnamon rolls are to die for, soft, moist and perfect moisture. I also tried bread pudding which was overly sweet to my taste :( it was with bourbon caramel which is delicious. Strawberry cream puffs was the winner. Irresistible, a single bite ate it. Soft bread and perfect delicious creamy cream. Tarts looked amazing unfortunately did not try. I can not wait to come back and try other pastries and lavender coffee! read more

We stopped by in a Friday evening for drinks. I know, drinks in a bakery? But surprisingly they have some really good adult drinks. We had the equivalency of a Manhattan. Just the right amount of bitters vs alcohol. We didn't try any baked goods. We will save that for our next trip. If you find all the regular drink stops full, don't forget to stop here. Well worth it. It gets five stars instead of four because they use really Luxardo cherries in their drinks and our water glasses were kept full. read more

Solid bakery with fresh desserts, reasonably priced and good service. We had several items; my favorite being the cream puffs. Would definitely like to go back and try some more items. read more

The food may be ok and the service adequate, but the ambiance is ruined by the owner's attitudes toward women and the LGBTQ community.

Cutest bakery in Haymarket! The cashier was super friendly and encouraged me to look through photos of the pastry chef's creations. And the creamepuffs...TO DIE FOR!!! So rich, but not too sweet. read more

What a neat little spot in Lincoln. Located downstairs was this quaint little shop filled with books and yummy desserts. I had the carrot cake and it was moist and delicious, my wife had the cheesecake and was equally impressed. The lady at the counter was really nice and helpful. Wow, probably the best cinnamon roll I've ever had in my life. And I am a cinnamon connoisseur. Absolutely melt in your mouth, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with just the right amount of icing. And the ladies who work there are fabulous and fun. I'm a fan! read more

Stopped in on a road trip. Interesting aesthetic inside drew us in. Staff were nice and seemed like very hard working young people. Unfortunately, the tiramisu and everything else we tried tasted like hatred and bigotry. I Do not recommend. read more

I ordered a gluten-free kids birthday cake 2 weeks in advance. One week in advance, the bakery charged my card ($80). When we arrived to pick up the cake as scheduled, the bakery said they forgot to make it. The bakery did not offer anything to fix their mistake (make it late, arrange slices, etc., they did however offer to sell us a single slice). I had to cancel birthday plans to call and drive around to find another bakery to help us out. Thank goodness for other bakeries that were compassionate about a medically fragile child being disappointed for not having a cake he'd been looking forward to. I do not recommend The Rabbit Hole for any special occasion or event. read more

Cute little bakery the indoors was nice. Only ordered the avocado brownie. Outdoor seating could be a little nicer.

Great selection, nice folks, and good prices for yummy desserts! They even have a punch card that I am VERY excited to keep punching!

Going down the rabbit hole is an absolute must if you live and/or visit Lincoln. You literally walk downstairs into a place with a wonderfully executed Alice in Wonderland theme. They have also created a new concept of pairing cocktails with desserts, which is brilliant. I am a dedicated customer who goes at least once a week to have my favorite treat: the white chocolate brownie. I have never tasted a blondie brownie that is so moist and fresh. They have many other desserts. I highly recommend the white brownie (of course), lemon cake, apple spice cake, and the avocado brownie. These desserts NEVER disappoint. They also have loose leaf teas and coffee which makes it a nice and quiet place to study at with plenty of outlets and seating (which is always a plus). Lastly, the service is very personal and always wonderful. They take great care of their customers! read more
