The amount of dirty gum, cigarette butts, trash and scary characters on the sidewalk and in front of the buildings is unfortunate and depressing. We still go though. It would be lovely if all of this could be cleaned and improved upon. Several of the businesses are quite nice to have in Lincoln but they are dotted with less than desirable business. There is a large trash can out front of the building on the corner but they don't really get used enough by the public. I tried Meadowlark coffee too. It was tolerable, but not good. Being from Kansas City, I did not realize how fortunate I am to have several spots with their own blend of beans, and freshly air roasted beans while you wait. But I'm so glad we stayed an extra day because we came across Cultiva Coffee. It was about 10 minutes from our hotel and it was so worth it. They also had a seasonal crêpe that had strawberries and chocolate ganache. It was so good. No, it was excellent. My husband and I almost fought over the last bite. But we were certainly measuring up the size of the bites. Lol the atmosphere was so cute and original. I absolutely loved it. I took a minute to tell them how much I appreciated them before I left, but I'm also telling you now. In addition to the Coffee, I appreciated the Service. When I ordered, the young lady never made me feel like I needed to hurry with what I was gonna say or that I wanted too many details. I appreciate this as an older person. I get tired of the impatience of young people these days and she was very kind. And the person who made the drink, made it perfectly to my liking. Not too hot to where I had to wait to drink it, but not just warm like it had been cooling off. I admit, I am very critical when it comes to my cappuccino.
