We have been in Lincoln for four days and yet to find a place that served espresso drinks the way I wanted them. And that had a good flavor of coffee. I tried The Mill, it was tolerable. I tried Meadowlark coffee too. It was tolerable, but not good. Being from Kansas City, I did not realize how fortunate I am to have several spots with their own blend of beans, and freshly air roasted beans while you wait. But I'm so glad we stayed an extra day because we came across Cultiva Coffee. It was about 10 minutes from our hotel and it was so worth it. They also had a seasonal crêpe that had strawberries and chocolate ganache. It was so good. No, it was excellent. My husband and I almost fought over the last bite. But we were certainly measuring up the size of the bites. Lol the atmosphere was so cute and original. I absolutely loved it. I took a minute to tell them how much I appreciated them before I left, but I'm also telling you now. In addition to the Coffee, I appreciated the Service. When I ordered, the young lady never made me feel like I needed to hurry with what I was gonna say or that I wanted too many details. I appreciate this as an older person. I get tired of the impatience of young people these days and she was very kind. And the person who made the drink, made it perfectly to my liking. Not too hot to where I had to wait to drink it, but not just warm like it had been cooling off. I admit, I am very critical when it comes to my cappuccino. That's why I make it at home most the time so I can have it the way I want it. So a place that checked all the boxes is rare to me. If you try this place, I hope you have the same experience. read more

Cultiva coffee is my new favorite coffee and breakfast place in Lincoln! Omg. The coffee quality is so good. I immediately knew after taking my first sip. I told the barista how I like my coffee, which is strong, iced and sweet. I also told her I was debating between the dirty Barcelona and iced Cuban. She recommended the dirty Barcelona and it did not disappoint. However I will say it was a little too sweet for me. I'll have to try the iced Cuban next time. Nonetheless, the coffee was absolutely delicious. I finished it quickly. In addition to the amazing coffee here, I trulyenjoyed their food!! They specialize in crepes, savory and sweet, omelettes, and pancakes! Don't sleep on their food y'all. I ended up ordering a build -your-own meal which consisted of a bagel, eggs, cream cheese, and three sides; salsa, chipotle mayo and sausage. Let's just say I ate and left no crumbs. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Frfr. My toddler got the apple pie pastry, also a 10 out of 10!! There are board games and coloring pages for kiddos. Plus merchandise and coffee beans available for purchase. There's lots of seating inside and street parking outside. I'm definitely coming back here with more people and plan to spread the word about this amazing spot. 1000 out of 10 recommend. :) read more

Probably the best coffee Lincoln has to offer, cuz it's mostly infested with Charbucks and that Scooter crap. If yur looking for real, quality bean and just a groovy spot, this is it. And, they play vinyls with turn-table! read more

Cultiva was the place to be! Apparently everyone thinks so too. I thought this was just a coffee shop for a Saturday morning. There is also a food menu. There is a grill. I had the corn cake with bacon and sausage side. I had both the sweet and savory. I opted for drip coffee dark roast. Extra point for me for having maple syrup! read more

Friends favorite coffee place, his drink was wonderful. I ordered the (something) missile, it was a tea based drink but the tea wasn't a concentrate / brewed enough to add anything to, it's flavor was lost to the toppings. read more

I probably have an unpopular opinion here, but I don't find the coffees and breakfast any good. The service is not great. The iced coffees and cold brews are basically half simple syrup half coffee. There's really no need to dump so much suger to the specialty coffees. The breakfast omelettes and crepes are usually greasy with no interesting falvors or sauces. It's kind of like having a diner breakfast. I'd expect more modern or playful twist on the foods just like how modern and cool the ambience is. The food service is super slow because of the small kitchen and high demands. I've seen unfriendly staff especially at the east campus location. The place is nice and the drinks and food ideas are cool but it could've been so much better. read more

Absolutely delightful experience at Cultiva. Came in on a Sunday morning for brunch and grabbed a table inside. I opted for the special seasonal drink "Thai Me a River" and the Phil E. Crepe. I probably wouldn't order the drink again, but I was glad I tried it. The Phil E. Crepe was magical. Perfect amount of ingredients and the crepe was just the right thickness. I topped with a little sriracha for a kick. Can't wait to come back for good vibes and better service soon! read more

I'm just going to come right out and say it: This may well be the best coffee in the Midwest. These people are coffee fanatics. The beans remind me of George Howell's roasts back in the day -- all roasted to some grade of medium to almost light depending on the beans (which they source with serious expertise from the best estates in the world). If you are a crazed coffee snob, this is the only place in town. Their shots and pourovers are perfect (they do the usual things as well). I'm glad the food is good, but seriously: If it's coffee you're after and you're in town, this is worth a special trip. read more

Oh my my, where do I even begin with this place. My wife use to come here all the time she said when she was going to school in Nebraska and she said that I had to try it. When I took a sip of the Barcelona, it was heaven in my mouth. Every sip was full of salty and sweet flavor. They make the whipped cream icing in house and I am not sure what's in it. The crepe was also top notch in my opinion, the pesto in the crepe compliments the eggs and the ham with every bite.I enjoyed the food so much that we actually ate here twice in the 3 days we were in Lincoln. A definitely must try and you will not regret it! Staff members were very progressive and helpful in every way as well. read more

Cultiva Coffee is a neighborhood gem which we discovered thanks to Yelp. Thank you, Yelpers!!! Their espresso is rich, bold, fruity, & flavorful -- including in oat milk! My latte was so good that I ordered a 2nd one just as the 1st was nearing its end! That's how good it was! They also serve HUGE delicious Johnny Cakes: pancakes made with cornmeal that were divine! Not too heavy but very filling & fulfilling! We ordered 2 Johnny Cakes, ended up with a third as a delicious savory-sweet sandwich because they forgot something for our order & kindly gave us an extra helping. If I had one tip, it's to order 1 plate of food & share. Portions are huge & delicious! Parking is easy and service is so friendly! read more

We were passing through town and stopped in Lincoln for night. We found this place as a unique breakfast option to support local. The food was amazing, unique combinations, and authentically Nebraska. The salted cream that is on top of many of the sweet ones, just give me a spoon, and I will slurp it up! The only thing I would skip next time is the johnnycake, the crêpes are so large I needed more space for them. Priorities. My latte was also on point and the service was friendly, Food took a reasonable amount of time since it's made to order. The read more

We stopped in here for breakfast on our way out of Lincoln. What a great choice! The staff was extremely pleasant and very helpful. My dad ordered a mocha with cayenne pepper and I ordered a iced latte with oat milk. Both coffees were delicious and the espresso was strong. We ordered using the Build Your Own menu and got two bagel sandwiches. They were HUGE! Both sides of the bagel sandwich were loaded with what we ordered and were both freshly made. I got a plain bagel with scrambled egg, sautéed spinach, chipotle crema (vegan), and bacon. My dad got an everything bagel with scrambled egg, sharp cheddar, and andouille sausage. These were some of the best bagel sandwiches I've had. The bagels were fresh, warm, and extremely tender. The ingredients for both were made fresh, hot, and were delicious. Definitely make this your morning spot! read more

It's a cute place and although it was busy, service was relatively fast and friendly. We ordered the Brekkie Bowl, the Princess Crepe, and The Big Smokey. The crepes are thicker, like a pancake texture, which I liked. We also ordered three Iced Cubanos. Even as someone who's not a big coffee drinker, I found these to be flavorful and not overpowering. The only problem is that near the end of our meal, we found a hair in the Brekkie Bowl that couldn't have belonged to any of us. It was near the bottom of the bowl too, which was somehow worse, as I had eaten almost all of it before we found it. Everything was good and I'd go there again to give it the benefit of doubt, but I'd check my food before eating next time. read more

First time coming to Cultiva and I didn't know what to expect but I was delightfully surprised! Not a lot of seating but we didn't have to wait long for a table to open up! I ordered a breakfast bowl and my friend and I shared a crepe. That crepe was SO RICH! My only complaint was that I didn't need more sugar and cinnamon on top. Very very good but no way could I have eaten it alone! Not your typical breakfast food but a nice variety to choose from. I've heard really good thing about their coffee, lattes, etc. but I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't attest to that! Definitely check out if you're in Lincoln! So good! read more

I made a commitment to try the top ten Lincoln coffee shops on Yelp. Today was a day off for me, so I decided to hit up Yelp's number one, Cultiva. I had the brekkie bowl and cubana coffee. Both were delicious and the cubana was perfect for me - a little sweet with good espresso and froth. The brekkie bowl has just a hint of spice to make it compelling and it was cheesy and the cool salsa gave it a nice contrast. The egg and avocado were also fresh and complimented the rest of the dish. I'm very happy that I stopped in today because I also got to pet Milo, a neighborhood kitty who is also a very good boy. read more

First time here. Got the iced cubano and it is DELICIOUS - tad bit sweet, but cubanos are meant to be sweet. Strong coffee flavor and just a bit of ice. You get a lot of coffee for your buck. It seemed like everyone was ordering the iced cubano when I was in on a Saturday morning. I also got a Parisian crepe. Nothing mind blowing, but it was exactly what I asked for. A crepe stuffed generously with banana and nutella. Coffee staff is great too; helped me out with the wifi password :) Friendly vibe in here with chill beachy music playing. I'll be back to try more drinks! read more

Holy smokes, that was a good cup of coffee! I dropped in to Cultiva for a pick-me-up and got it for sure. My mug of drop coffee came with a free refill and I sat here for another an hour to get my phone charged up, write up a couple of reviews and plot out the rest of my time here in Lincoln. The shop is a bit on the loud side, which we solved with a pair of noise-cancelling headphones. Wifi worked well, power outlet was easy to find, and the coffee was excellent. And it felt great to support local coffee instead of those green siren people. I'm a fan! [Review 11373 overall, 1150 of 2019.] read more

allow me to start by saying the coffee and food is delicious!! The quality of ingredients and flavors is lovely! However, the staff needs some serious training... It took over 30 minutes for our food to come out. Mind you they were not busy at all as we were two of 5 people in the restaurant. The staff seems very inexperienced and unwilling to hustle. 7 employees all just talking and standing around. Note the customer orders at the counter, picks up their own drinks, food, silverware, napkins, and water... reasoning "we would have to wash our hands if we touched plates" The only reason i gave this place 3 stars is the food and coffee. Easily the best place I visited during my first trip to Nebraska (Lincoln and Omaha). I highly recommend the cafe au lait, it was perfect. Medium, not dark for me. Order another one to go it was that good. Also, the food is made to the side and not behind a wall which is interesting. They have nothing to hide. Quality breakfast to go along with coffee. I really enjoyed the crapes and would for sure come back if in the area. There is nothing I would change about this spot. read more

I love Cultiva coffee. They serve amazing scrambled eggs and Johnny cakes. The ambiance is Nebraska hipster.

Cultiva is unassuming from the outside but when you get a hold of your breakfast, you'll soon realize why you came in. Although there was a long wait for food, they let us know that up front which was much appreciated. I had the brekkie bowl and tried bites of friends food.. everything had tons of flavor and was so good! The only reason that I knocked off a star is because the music that was playing was so irritating combined with the loud environment, everyone in the group was pretty ready to leave by the end. Next time I'll just try sitting outside so I can enjoy this delicious breakfast and coffee. read more

Just the smell and vibe of this place is amazing! They have our overs, lots if fun food choices, any kind if coffee drink you can imagine, theee own label and really friendly people. You cannot go wrong with this place.. you can also buy whole beans, cold brew and coke in glass.. if that is your thing. Plus it's a l'iCal small business and the people that work here eel very committed to that vision. They have three locations, this one in 11th, one by Lincoln high school where they roast their beans and one by east campus ..holdredge. . It takes a little bit more time than Starbucks. .they could use two lines..one for ordering coffee and one for food or both. The wait is not worth the quality. I keep giving this place a chance because it used to be great but the last year it has gone downhill. This time the sausage in my crepe was burnt to a crisp, and the last time my crepe was more dry than an elephants foot and was practically a tortilla chip. The neon light that has a sign "do not touch" must be for everyone including staff because that thing has months of dust on it. The nice lady cleaning the tables used a dry towel to clean the tables so if you drop something on the table i wouldn't eat it. At least the coffee is decent? read more

There is plenty of seating inside and outside so we didn't have to stand to wait for our food. The food is made to order, so you get it fresh so the wait is worth it!
