Love this place and have been going there for years. Carne asada tostadas and a cup of sliced mango is my go to. They have a huge selection of traditional Mexican foods and sweets. Many friends have enjoyed their sandwiches ands tacos too. Also love their elote any way they make it. The newer electronic menu is frustrating as it moves too fast to read it. You can grab a printed menu if this creates chaos in your brain too. The wait staff is efficient and somber. The strip of buildings is in an unfortunately ever increasing shabby area. The amount of dirty gum, cigarette butts, trash and scary characters on the sidewalk and in front of the buildings is unfortunate and depressing. We still go though. It would be lovely if all of this could be cleaned and improved upon. Several of the businesses are quite nice to have in Lincoln but they are dotted with less than desirable business. There is a large trash can out front of the building on the corner but they don't really get used enough by the public. The landscaping on this block at one time was beautiful but it too is looking rougher by the year. read more

I stopped here for lunch today and had an asada torta. It was huge and was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The avocado sauce I was given on the side was flavorful with a perfect amount of heat for me. The bread was soft and delicious and held up well. The asada had a wonderful char and was very flavorful as well. Service was fast and friendly- I will be back soon to try this place again. read more

Mostly a Mexican treat shop, but I popped in for lunch one day because I knew they had food as well. It does appear more limited now that what is posted on here, but they still have some things like tacos, enchiladas, elote and burritos. The barbacoa (shredded beef) burrito was recommended so that is what I went with. It was very good and also a massive burrito packed with the meat, beans, and rice-on par with D'leons size. Great value for the price. This place seems very authentic and I will come back to try the elote and some treats as well, they looked fun! I had to try their mangonada here after seeing all the tempting photos! Unfortunately the chamoy sauce on it was a little too intense for me. I did love the everything else about it though! The fresh mango, the two scoops of mango sorbet, and the tamarind candy straw were so so good. My friend got the second smallest cup size for ice cream for $2 and it came with 2 scoops as well! It makes me wonder how many come with the three larger cup sizes after it, dang! You will LOVE their mango sorbet if you like mangos, there's even some fibrous pieces in it so you know they definitely used real mangos to make it. Also, might want to note that the workers here don't seem to speak much English. My friend asked her what's good here and she just kind of smiled and didn't answer. A Mexican treat shop in Lincoln good for scoop serve ice cream, fresh fruit with chile powder, mexican shaved ice, and the infamous Mangonada- a mix of mango slush/softserve, mango pieces, chile powder, and the same chile/tamarind surup. It's a combo of tangy, sour, sweet and even a little salty. The sourness is a bit much for me to finish an entire one, but a perfect treat for me to share on a warm day.
