The idea seemed to be another version of Cold Stone which I have had many times and am pretty mid on honestly. But I took the family hear for a quick treat to kill some time and I am converted! Love it! I've been to the one in Omaha before so I thought I'd check this one out too. If you like dessert and instagramable stuff this is your place. Watching them roll the ice cream is so oddly satisfying it is definitely worth the 7 bucks it costs for a bowl. My only complaint is that I wish there was an option for a smaller size. It's so much ice cream! Also, this location is a little weird about the process. You walk up to the counter to order, then you go down the line to watch it being made. Then you walk back through "traffic" to get your ice cream back at the counter. Kind of weird, but not a big deal. Definitely recommend! read more

It's definitely a good spot to go at least once for the experience, especially if you have never had rolled ice cream before. I probably would not go back again, unless someone who was with me really wanted to try it, just because the price is high for what you get. They use a liquid ice cream base and mix in the flavors you have chosen, and then they make it a very thin layer on a frozen top. Putty knives are then used to make ice cream rolls, which are placed into a cup. Other toppings are added, and there you have it! There is very limited seating, especially if people have come with their large families and are dining in. The service we got was good when it was our turn, but since there were only two people working and several large parties were present, they were busy making ice cream for everyone who had already ordered. Great ice cream and very cool...but it's not cheap. I think 1 dish of ice cream came in at $7-8. The ice cream tasted high quality and was made from liquid to solid right in front of me - then shaved off a ice cold marble block, then rolled in to ice cream cigars. It's a great gimmick/novelty but the price is on ColdStone levels. I can get a few pints of Ben & Jerry's at this price. Definitely worth a visit but the price won't make this a habit for me. Finally tried the Freezing Rolled Thai ice cream. The logistics of this store needs to be laid out better. You pay (which is at the front), but then go towards the back of the building to view your concoction being made, which then leads you back to the front of the store and where other customers are ordering. There was a post on social media, which I showed the staff for a new flavor, but they said they didn't have it. I got strawberry banana, the flavors weren't very bold, kind of just an afterthought. Others I was with said it was difficult to eat. The price is way too expensive for what you get, and they charge more for 'new' flavors. Silly. The guy who made my ice cream did a great job, but was not enthusiastic about it at all. There literally was no interaction between him and the customers. I had a blast at Freezing! It's really fun watching them make the ice cream rolls. I didn't know which to try, the menus is quite large, so I asked what their most popular flavors were. Even that didn't help me narrow down what I wanted only because I was tied between three different flavors. In the end I got the Oreo Suprise this time. The prices are a bit high, but the experience is fun! I split one with my hubby and it was more than enough for the two of us. This is a great place to go when walking around downtown and you are looking for something sweet and cool, perfect for a date night for sure! I look forward to going back and trying their green tea flavor! I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience at your establishment this evening. Your employee working at the counter gave us a dirty look and didn't speak to us while we were ordering. She then proceeded to look at her phone, while she was wearing gloves she was preparing others food with. All employees were concerned about the time they were getting off instead of worrying about the customers. When we were handed our ice cream we received one more dirty look. I asked if it was gluten free, I have celiac so have to be sure. The guy at the counter said no. My grand kids each ordered what they wanted. The only person there did not smile once, did not speak to us.. I would say it's the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. That said my grand kids loved it. They said it was really good. One got Oreo cookie and the other Strawberry Cream. It's kind of pricey, $7.00, but for a special treat o.k. I was very disappointed. When I got home I Googled what's in it. I'm not sure what would have gluten except the cookies if you ordered one with that. Maybe he just didn't want to make another. I went here a couple of weeks ago with my two kids. We ordered a Monkey Business (#4), a S'mores Galore (#2), and an Oreo's Secret (#3). We liked the flavor of the Oreo's Secret. The S'mores Galore was "just OK." I was unimpressed by the Monkey Business, as it tasted like plain vanilla ice cream with a little bit of banana mixed in. I couldn't taste the Nutella at all. If you are on a budget, this is NOT the place for you. Our total for 3 servings was $22.89--more than $7 apiece. Plus they only offer one size, so there's no option for a smaller, more affordable serving. I asked whether they could make a custom ice cream for me, and they said it would cost extra. Extra beyond $7? No thank you! It was fun to watch the employees mix and roll the ice cream, and the finished product looks great, just like the pictures on the display board outside. But you can get much tastier ice cream at a better price elsewhere, and that's just what we're going to do. read more

The rolled ice cream is unique to Lincoln and the Reece's Rolled Ice Cream was good. My partner got the mango and said it was very fresh. The flavors aren't anything to write home about. My wife told me about this place and we wanted to give it a shot. As soon as we walked in we saw that all the employees were busy on their cell phone. We told the person taking our order we've never been to 'Freezing Thai' before and he told us to "make up your mind by looking at the menu." The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. While we were waiting for the ice cream to be made, the manager (light blue shirt) was concerned about when she was getting off instead of making her ONLY customers happy. While we were seated eating our ice cream 5 customers left without ordering because of the horrendous service.
