The lemon ice cream was perfectly sweet. The vanilla and chocolate were sweeter. All 3 ice creams cost us $6. You can't beat it! The employees are very friendly here. The ice cream shop itself is tiny, but cute! There's seating outside near the parking area. My husband could not stop raving about their strawberry ice cream which is a seasonal flavor released around Memorial Day weekend and lasts through the summer. According to him, it's sooo good, that he's returned several days back-to-back in a row -- just for this flavor. He said it's the best strawberry soft serve he's ever had. My family's favorite spot for ice cream in Lincoln. There is always a line, but they keep things moving pretty smoothly. A classic ice cream stand. Not a lot like this any more. I know they have non-dessert options on the menu, but we always stick with dessert. Note: they only take cash. Be prepared! A unique item on the menu is the Krunch Coat - try it! I'm not entirely sure what's in there, but it at least includes crunched up peanuts and sprinkles. Delightful on a cone! read more

I'd do 2.5 stars if I could. Don't get me wrong. My ice cream, and my wife's malt were excellent! But it was over 90 degrees out and took almost 15 minutes to get just those two items. And it was NOT overly busy. Just slow service. And it's priced "fine." Not a pro or con. Normal ice cream +15% for the history factor. I've eaten at the Zesto's in Fremont my whole life. I came to this one in Lincoln on South street and got a nut brown crown and expected the same thing that I got in Fremont. But that was not the case! They do not even know how to make a cone here, I couldn't finish half of it because it fell apart all over the place. If I am going to pay $4 for a cone, you better get it right. Side note: I left this review almost 18 months ago and somehow it got moved to a different Zesto location. Not having grown up here, I don't have nostalgic feelings about this place, but I've enjoyed coming here once or twice during the warmer parts of the year. I enjoy the classic twisted cone with the crunchy toppings, but it can be difficult to eat it as it melts and all of the bits are falling off. Which is totally my fault! I was quite pleased with the ice cream; albeit a little pricey. My complaint is with the personnel. Yikes is right. I asked for a glass of water with my sundae - and they said it would be .25 for the glass. I said " I have my own glass in the car" and they said "There's a water fountain around the corner". Excuse me but $6 plus should get me a glass of water. I had just come from a doctor's visit in Lincoln and needed to take some medication - PLUS I have watched documentaries on using ;bubble fountains' and they are horribly unsanitary. Nobody ever cleans and sanitizes those things and the lines are FULL of bacteria. Needless to say, this is my one and only visit to COLD zesto's.
