Although the ice cream was good, it was not as creamy as I would've liked. Plus, many products were out-of-stock at the store. I had the creamy corn and the caramel cashew flavors.

Tractor Test Toffee! Chocolate, toffee and lil choc chips.

A must-visit when in Lincoln Located off of Dairy Store Loop on UNL's East campus, this treasure is part of at least three degree programs related to dairy, food production, and ag business at the University of Nebraska, and the results are DELICIOUS. Flavors include standards and rotating specials, several of which bear location-specific names. I was pleased to sample "Tractor Test Toffee" on my visit and noted that the ever-present "Scarlet and Cream" was indeed present. Lemon Custard is one of our household rotating favorites, and if you spot Rum Raisin, this is a must-try but be prepared to eat it quickly as there is no way to keep this delicacy frozen for long. Also available: cheese, eggs, and whatever else the students have come up with that week.

Big Red sundae, regular size.

Excellent, all the way around. The student clerks are all super friendly, and the ice cream is the best! In addition to the Big Red sundae I got, I also had a taste of their Sweet Corn ice cream, SO NEBRASKA! It was tasty, I just didn't want a whole scoop of it. They have a great assortment of flavors and it's all very reasonable priced. If you're at all nearby, you or it to yourself to come here!

Came here for some ice cream and a non-franchise experience. None of us had ever been here. It's located on the university campus. They do have sanitizer located throughout the building. People were mostly wearing masks until they had ice cream since it's impossible to eat with a mask on. They have tables around the area. They had a very limited pint of flavors and I guess they change daily. Their servings are HUGE. No one needs more than one scoop. I tried the mocha chip on a waffle cone. It was good. Nothing extraordinary, but it was good and you get to support the students.

Student run and student made! Quite the tradition- the have cheeses for sale in the cooler cabinets. Quite the selection of ice creams to choose from. Always a visit when near East Campus!

Cappuccino chocolate chip - yummy!

A good variety within the 16 daily flavors at this wonderful campus creamery. My husband got the Butterscotch frost (vanilla minty chips added the coolness) and I opted for the cappuccino chocolate chip out of the refrigerated case. Loved the creaminess and it was only $2.60. What a bargain! The store is small, so the line can be long. We looked in on the area where they make cheese/ice cream to spend the time.

Even tho I went to UNL for 3 years of college, I ever ate there once. I've now been 3 times. I like how the flavors change and that they also sell cheese, sausages, pints of ice cream, etc. Every time I've been there I've had a different flavor and really enjoyed it. Today I had the cookie dough. I got it in a waffle cone. The cone itself was delicious. You can also look into the actual room they make th goods in. That's super cool.

My mother saw an article in the most recent Nebraska magazine about the dairy store. We happened to be driving from Colo to NE for a family reunion so of course we had to stop by. Lots of signage directing you inside to where friendly faces welcomed you to a variety of flavors. We wanted the advertised coffee crunch from the article and it didn't disappoint. Lots of seating choices. A lovely summer afternoon treat on East Campus. No sign of the cows the students milked for the ice cream but I'm sure they're around somewhere.

I think it's pretty cool that a college, and college students, are making ice cream (and cheese, but let's be honest, you're here for the ice cream). I think they have a mix of permanent and "temporary" flavors, for lack of a better description. I got the "I [less than] 3 you cherry much" (their Valentine's Day creation) and orange custard chocolate chip. It's hard to beat 2 flavors and 4 scoops of ice cream in a "single" dish for $3. They have a number of other creative flavors not "on tap" but available for purchase by the half gallon in the freezer, like sweet corn. With all this said... I live in Madison now and I gotta be honest, Wisconsin does it better. The cherry much was understated and the orange custard didn't compare to its brethren at Babcock Hall (it's probably my favorite there). The orange custard also had a slight chalky flavor and noticeable texture, as if protein powder had been mixed in or something. Very odd in ice cream.

Support local and enjoy every moment of it! Awesome flavor choices and quality ice cream! Favorite ice cream in Lincoln! The cappuccino chocolate chip is my favorite! Chocolate covered espresso beans in them! Ice cream is rich and creamy! You can also buy cases to take home! Try to cold brew as well!

Two Red scarlet cones for me, yes, indeed!

Lincoln's secret not so secret best ice cream place!! The red scarlet ice cream is so perfectly moist and savory. I am consistently craving it! The Dairy store is worth making a a forty five min trip to! The ice cream flavors are constantly changing so it keeps it fun to try new flavors!!

Yum. One scoop= more like two scoops. I had the raspberry choc.chip with hot fudge and sprinkles-super tasty. Great service, the students working are always patient and will let you try different flavors. Lots of options! They don't make their own soft serve, so if you want the ice cream made on campus-go for the flavored options in the case!

This is a little gem on the UNL campus. There are multiple flavors and there are several different sundae options too. Since one scoop is plenty, I decided to stick with this and enjoyed the peanut butter chocolate chip in a bowl. However, had I not just eaten lunch the s'more sundae sounded amazing and I would have picked that. On a side note they also have steps in front of windows where you can look in and watch them eat the ice cream. Unfortunately, it was dark when we were there so there was nothing to see.

Great ice cream! Location is decent, can go for a walk around campus after or just sit outside nearby. Indoors has lots of space too.

I used to live really close to the East campus, and enjoyed the mini cheeses so I could try several flavors.

Love this place and have been going there for years. Carne asada tostadas and a cup of sliced mango…read moreis my go to. They have a huge selection of traditional Mexican foods and sweets. Many friends have enjoyed their sandwiches ands tacos too. Also love their elote any way they make it. The newer electronic menu is frustrating as it moves too fast to read it. You can grab a printed menu if this creates chaos in your brain too. The wait staff is efficient and somber. The strip of buildings is in an unfortunately ever increasing shabby area. The amount of dirty gum, cigarette butts, trash and scary characters on the sidewalk and in front of the buildings is unfortunate and depressing. We still go though. It would be lovely if all of this could be cleaned and improved upon. Several of the businesses are quite nice to have in Lincoln but they are dotted with less than desirable business. There is a large trash can out front of the building on the corner but they don't really get used enough by the public. The landscaping on this block at one time was beautiful but it too is looking rougher by the year.
