I picked up a cookie order for a Halloween party and they turned out so cute! They were individually wrapped which made for easily and safely handing out. They tasted fresh and yummy of course. I love this cookie company.

Midwest cookies at its finest! :) It is my first time visiting my sister in Nebraska and I have no clue what desserts they have in this wholesome town. My sister and her bf were hyping this cookie joint up since the moment that they want to tour me around. So, why not might as well go with local recommendation and try it. The moment I stepped inside their cookie place, the fragrant alone makes me drool. If they sell a cookie perfume, just take my money haha. The cookies were almost out around 4pm on a Friday. I ordered their Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookie, which is a hand size cookie that is completely flat. The flatness makes it crispier than other cookies because its almost like a cookie patty. Omg its just so good that every bite makes me want more. The consistency and texture is amazing! Overall, thank you sis and her cool bf for showing me this grandma vibe delicious cookie joint :) Definitely going back here again when I visit.

I have been coming here since I was a child, (I am now in my 20s) and have loved my experience every single time. The prices have gone up slightly since Covid, but that's to be expected, and even with the small increase each cookie is SO cheap! Size-wise, the cookies are huge. Taste is A+ every single time. The decor is probably my favorite! It has remained the same since the early 2000s, and it's always nice to see the colorful flooring and walls as I come in. Lovely staff, always happy to help, (after all, how can you be unhappy surrounded by delicious baked goods?) I always take my friends whenever I visit the mall and they love the experience as well! 5/5 stars, and will keep returning as long as The Cookie Company exists!

No allergy sensitive food handling. With that said, I'm not saying that this company has bad service or food. In fact my wife and I were very happy with the quick response from an employee concerning their food handling with respect to allergies. The employee was polite and quick to respond. She said that they use the same baking trays and scoops for every type of dough. This tells me that she was knowledgeable about the business practices and about cross "contamination" of their ingredients. Thumbs up to you. My wife, who has the food allergy, does not have any ill feelings toward The Cookie Company. Companies have the freedom to run it they way they want to... that's the beauty of doing business in the USA. Besides, we could easily go home and make our own batch of nut free cookies. Sorry this review didn't give any insight on the flavor or quality of the cookies. I mainly wanted to inform people with food allergies. I might decide to try them for myself and update this review in the future. For now it's an middle of the road 3 star.

I wish I got there before 2 PM because they stopped serving lunch by the time I walked in around 3. Now I know I must go back! They had gelato, dessert, fresh baked goods including different types of sour dough, muffins, cinnamon rolls, etc. They even had stocked refrigerators with "take home and bake yourself" goods as well. I ended up getting a huge premade sandwich that had sprouts, tomato, turkey and cheese on a sesame roll. It came with chips. My total was $12. That sandwich lasted me the entire day. I ate half for lunch and the second half for dinner, that's how big it was! The sandwich was delightful and tasteful. I loved the sesame bread it came with. It held all of the ingredients together nicely (did not fall apart, which is always appreciated). Plus, the sesame seeds also did not fall off which I was pleasantly surprised about. There are tons of seating options available inside and outside. The employees were very friendly too. I am looking forward to coming back to try their soup and sandwiches during lunch hour!

I searched Yelp for bakeries in Lincoln, ordered by rating and came across Emma Bakes. My first concern was that the reviews were from a year ago and later so I called to make sure they still existed. Once I confirmed I checked the map and found that they are located on O street. This left me wondering what parking would be like, but then I remembered I lived in Nebraska and even if it was street parking only I'd have options. Their location is on the South side of O street and comes complete with plenty of off-street parking. The shop is small but has a nice bright yellow sign out front and an yellow interior accent wall inside as well as plants and pastry cases. Each pastry is made on site and comes in its own resealable packaging. The proprietor, who I expect is Emma was kind and helpful. I selected 4 items and headed for home. I got an egg tart, a sausage and cheese bun, garlic bread, and a strawberry and cream cheese pastry. I started with the sausage and cheese bun, the non-sausage parts were a bit salty, not in a bad way, just a bit off. The sausage looked more like a hot dog than any special type of seasoned link. I have to say, after eating this I was concerned about the other items (I'd give this item 3 stars). Next I tried the egg tart, it was the last one in the store and the star of the other reviews I read. Oh my goodness, this was incredible, the crunchy-crispiness of the crust and the creamy subtle flavor of the center, it was perfection. Had there been more in the case I might have gone back and ordered a half dozen. Once my wife got home we split the strawberry pastry, it was also a solid five stars, great homemade filling, light flaky pastry dough, delightful. Finally, I cut into the garlic bread, it had quite a lot of cheese inside, tasted great and had a strong garlic kick. Overall, I will be back, either when they open or just after 1pm when the afternoon batch of pastries comes out of the ovens. Oh, and I should mention, they offer Banh Mi as well, I'll have to try those as well next time.

My favorite place to get banh mi since she's opened! She's so nice to my mom so bonus points!!read more
