When we eneterd the restaurant the gentleman at the register was really helpful and pointed out that the whole 30 version of the menu item can greatly differ from the description often removing items. For example, if you are looking forward to the chicken and dumplings, beware if you select the whole 30 option NO DUMPLINGS. My salad had lots of ingredients, however, the whole 30 version only had beets and almond flour feta (which was delicious, ps) but a lack luster salad. I'm not sure why they wouldn't replace the pickled onions in the salad with fresh onions so it didn't look as sad. The green chili wasn't spicy (which is probably good for some) and was cumin forward. Not bad. Matt enjoyed it, although it had the vegan cheese wiz, which I am pretty sure shouldn't have been on the whole 30 option- we picked it out. The Buffalo cauliflower was an excellent portion and was good! The vegan ranch was watery and not what we expected, but also not bad. Spicy options for those of you like me are chaloula and I saw them with Frank's red hot, but you will have to ask the kitchen for it. It was cozy inside and as I mentioned the service was good. However, I'm not sure we would go back until they have a menu change.

We thankfully got sat quickly without a reservation. The inside is nice and ambient lighting. It also has an indoor/outdoor bar which I'm sure is great in the summer. I mainly came here because I knew they had tomato basil soup and I was having a strong craving. To start I got the queso fundido because of a place has it on the menu, I must try. I asked if it could be done without meat and our server said no - that it was premade. Honestly, this was just okay queso. Definitely not authentic or anything like actual queso fundido. Would not order again. The soup was good! Not the best I've ever had but definitely good. The only thing was we ordered a soup but didn't specify and got the small size. I would specify a bowl if you want a meal sized portion. The grilled cheese that came with it was tasty! The chicken Caesar wrap was fine. Portion is sorta small but glad it comes with a side. Nothing too special. Overall the place is nice, staff is friendly and food is fine. I wouldn't particularly want to return but if a friend suggested, I'd give it another shot.

Breya took great care of us. It was Wednesday, which is half off bottle of wine day, so we chose to get a bottle of the Dalia Pino Grigio. We chose some shareables. We got the Mediterranean Board. It would normally have baba ghanoush and hummus. I mentioned that I was allergic to eggplant so they left both the baba ghanoush and hummus off the board. Our board came with dolma, roasted tomatoes, marinated olives, pickled turnips, fennel, feta, Schug and sliced pita. Schug is a spicy, fresh Middle Eastern hot sauce from Yemen. It was my first time having it and it was a delicious spread to put on the pita. We also shared the Sticky Ribs. Three pork ribs with five-spice lacquer on a bed of Asian slaw. For our final shareable, we chose the Venetian Flatbread which had pesto, provolone cheese, roasted tomato. We decided to add the spicy coppa on top. Everything was quite tasty. We were watching Breya skillfully make snazzy drinks and my husband decided to get a Mary's Gimlet. We watched as she blended vodka, lime juice, and simple syrup, floating a lime slice on top. This was a great start to our evening. The location was perfect as it was adjacent to the theater, which was our next stop.

We just wanted a cake and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to go in order from a line of coffee orders to grab something behind the glass. I waited over 20 minutes and watched an employee pack our pastries (it took them 30 seconds to get it together). Normally, when you order something from the case, the cashier gets it immediately. But not at Olive and finch - you have to wait for all the coffee orders and drinks to go before. I have never experienced this at any restaurant or bakery. While the carrot cake was good, I do not recommend coming here before your show on a weekend. I wanted to support an AAPI owned business but they need a remodel of how their operation works. It's absolutely ridiculous to have to wait for 20 minutes when the cake could be grabbed right away. They are absolutely not prepared for Denver when there's a musical, an Avs game, and a Rockies game. Severely understaffed. Very disappointed and will not be coming back. If you're here for an event, I highly recommend you stay away. Come on a slow night. They can't handle it when it's busy. There's better places to eat at that can handle a crowd.

At one point, I seriously thought about flying back to NY to get the good baguettes. After a few years, I finally found one! I was there every Friday, but now, with a new job, it is just impossible to go. When I was going to a meeting in Denver, I searched for a bakery. I always look at photos of a baguette - the whole "figure" and how it looks when cut. I could find photos of the baguette, but none of the cross-section. So it was a gamble - I pre-paid for 2 baguettes. And I was not wrong! They were wonderful! Embarrassed to say, but I ate almost the whole baguette by myself! I froze the second one. Now I want this baguette all the time!! So here is the photo.

The standouts for me were the croissants. Super flaky and buttery, just as they should be. The focaccia was also exceptional, so soft and warm, pairing perfectly with the dipping oil. You really can't go wrong here, if you think you're gonna like it you probably will. The shop was a little hard to find for us out of towners, but it was super cute and quaint once we did. The staff is awesome. We came on Halloween day and they dressed up as the scariest thing they could think of: Starbucks baristas. Awesome bakery, absolutely check them out!
