We were back at the Palm Court Grill after a concert at Fox Theater. The Grill is a great spot for some old fashioned "fine dining." We were seated by the big fireplace, a perfect spot for a chilly evening. The Grill may be one of the only places left that serves a "green goddess" salad, and it was delicious. Our last visit found the Grill in transition between owners. The new menu and wine list was a welcome sight. We had a bottle of Moet Brut Imperial tableside to accompany our salads and French Onion Soup. Dinner was the ribeye steak, and it was perfectly prepared. The service was pleasant and attentive at every stage of the meal. We enjoyed our visit to the Palm Court Grill and look forward to visiting again.

Located in the historic Davenport Hotel, this beautiful restaurant is quaint and romantic. From the architecture to the music, you really enjoy the experience. The service was fantastic. I ate light tonight. I enjoyed the Shrip-Tini and the Crab Louie Salad. Everything was beautifully prepared.

If you travel to Spokane, WA, you must visit the historic Davenport Hotel, which opened its doors in 1914. This timeless hotel is immersed with over 100 years of history. It ornate lobby and ballrooms have hosted many presidents, dignitaries, and politicians throughout the years. Including John F. Kennedy, Bing Crosby, Clark Gable, Babe Ruth, Amelia Earhart, to name a few. The Palm Court Grill, located in the hotel, can boost the original Crab Louie created by created by Louie Davenport. Absolutely delicious!

The duck. The duck was chewy and dry and the risotto was not prepared well and the hash was almost raw.

I came here on Saturday afternoon around 2. My mom and sister and I had come in to get lunch to celebrate us all being together and the overall experience was just disappointing. When we got there we weee out on a wait list and told it was about an hour. Not a problem at all, they took my name and phone number to let us know when a table was available. Since the tree experience was still going on there was a lot to look at while we waited. After an hour I went back just to check. The lady who was at the host stand had trouble finding my name on the list. Then she had told me that she had texted me earlier that there was a table ready. I showed her my texts messages and nothing was from the restaurant at all. She seemed a bit flustered and realized that there might have been a problem on their end with the notification. Not a problem she was able to seat us and it all should have been good. Our waitress was really sweet but definitely busy so after taking our orders we barely saw her. The food came out after a little bit and we were excited. I had ordered the duck, my mom got the fish and chips and my sister got the gnocchi. The first bite of duck was so chewy because the fat hadn't been rendered down that it was hard to eat. So, I figured I would simply cut the fat off and it would solve the problem. But the duck was very dry and not very tasty. The risotto that came with it was still al dente and the veggie hash was almost raw. I only had a few bites of food before I was done with trying to eat it. My mom and sister didn't have any better luck. The fish for the fish and chips my mom said tasted super fishy. Which is off for the type of fish that it is. And the gnocchi was dry and super crumbly not like soft and pillowy as it should have been. We saw our server very quickly when she came to grab the plates and again when she came to drop the check and take payment. At that point it had been a long lunch experience that none of us felt like we should complain because we all just kinda wanted to leave. The ambience though was awesome, people watching was fun with all the people coming a looking at the gorgeous tree that our table was super close to so we got to enjoy that. Overall the food and the service wasn't very good. I realize it could have been because they were busy or just an off day. I have been there once before and the food was good but this time it was just disappointing.

I made a reservation for my sister, mom and I for their Afternoon High Tea using Resy a week ahead. My mom unfortunately came down with COVID so I cancelled the reservation, before the cancellation deadline per their policy. I have a confirmation email stating this with a time stamp which shows the cancellation was clearly done before their deadline- see photo. The day of, I received an incredible nasty phone call from the manager Arthur asking if I would be showing up for my reservation. I said no and explained I cancelled and I have confirmation. He then went an aggravated rant to proclaim that the front of house manager called and spoke to me yesterday and I confirmed, so I will be charged. I received no such call, spoke to no one, have no missed calls, nor voicemails from the day before. Arthur continued to berate me and to get a word in before he tried to hang up I had to raise my voice and say "let me speak". He continued to proclaim me as a liar that will be charged. I will be reporting the charge as fraudulent and reaching out to Resy. As for Arthur the manager, I can't imagine working in the service industry and calling a person on a Sunday afternoon to speak to them so poorly.

We came for mother's day and it did not disappoint! Service was quick and attentive. The Bloody Mary bar is beautiful and everyone had fun making their own. They have everything you could want or need. The bread pudding tasted like Christmas on a plate! The duck confit omelet was everyone's favorite. It was juicy and packed with flavor! The crab Benedict was fresh and delicious. You can't go wrong with eating here on a special occasion.

Anniversary dinner at the Davenport! We sat right in front of the famous fireplace. It was perfect. James, our waiter took great care of us. Started off with huckleberry heavens. They were like spiked koolaid! Appetizer was the trio which consisted of cougar gold cheese dip, teriyaki steak bites and jumbo shrimp cocktail. Very delicious ( that I give a 5*****) our choice of entrees were the beef tenderloin. They both came rarer then requested, but still okay... food could have been a bit warmer. That is why I could only give a 4 star rating. Everything else was perfect. Cream brûlée to share as a finishing. It was yummy! We made it disappear very quickly. James was nice enough to take our picture by the fireplace. It was a wonderful evening. Highly recommend. Note: a bit pricy , but we expected that. It's the historic Davenport after all!

Went for inland restaurant week. All the desserts were excellent especially the Davenport signature Sunday. Had the halibut which was ok. The couscous was the best part of my main entree. Our waiter was really pleasant and the guy that delivered our food was awesome too. The restaurant itself is in an open area in the Davenport hotel therefore allowed us to be able to see the guy playing the piano which was really nice.

Honestly, Wooden City really lives up to its hype. It's an upscale spot right in downtown Spokane,…read morebut still feels warm and lively instead of overly formal. Definitely one of the best-quality restaurants in the city, where every dish was thoughtfully made and packed with flavor. What we ordered: Starters: - Spring Salad: Super fresh and well-balanced. The snap peas were crisp, with strawberries added for sweetness, and the goat cheese + pistachios gave it a creamy, nutty contrast. The lemon & tarragon vinaigrette tied everything together with a light, herby flavor. - Jerk Cauliflower: Crunchy cauliflower with Caribbean spices with a creamy jerk sauce, good as a side Appetizers: - Peel 'n' Eat Shrimp: Really juicy and spicy from the Cajun spice. There's butter to dip in but I found it too greasy and prefer lemon instead. - Blistered Hungarian Peppers: Smoky pepper with some sweetness and savory from the sausage and cheddar. Served with a toasted focaccia that soak up all the sauce. Main dishes: - Chicken Schnitzel: One of the must-orders. Crispy, golden breading, super tender inside. The lemon & caper butter sauce added acidity and richness that elevated the whole dish. Yoy have to order extra because it's never enough for the table. Yes, it's that good. - Marbled Duroc Pork Chop: Another favorite . Juicy and tender, with 'nduja salsa brava bringing a spicy depth, while lemon tahini and marcona almonds added creaminess and crunch. I always missed tasting this dish like my first time - Beet Ravioli: Earthy and slightly sweet flavor, nice texture but I hate goat cheese so I'm not really a fan of this dish - Pesto Bacon Pizza: Delicious crunch, loved the combo of mozzarella and gorgonzola, kind of creamy with a bit of funk. Balsamic do help balance and gave it a sweet tangy flavor, or else it would be too heavy for me (yes, not a pizza fan) Drinks & Dessert - Not Mai Tai mocktail: very aesthetically looking drink, but a bit too sweet to my liking - Apple crisp: cozy and warm, with baked apple & pecan crumble and served with vanilla ice cream on top. Delicious ice cream. - Pumpkin cheesecake: My 3rd favorite of the night, I still dream about it!! Rich, smooth, and perfectly spiced, you shouldn't skip this!!! That said, I do have to take away a couple points for timing. Our foods took 45 mins to come out even though I had reservations and note the menu items via the email, and the wait time between each dish was also... very confusing. It broke the flow of our meal. But once the food hit the table, it was hard to stay mad, so I forgave them.

I feel like I just went to a dress rehearsal about a play about a group of friends who got together…read moreand said "How about we open a restaurant? That would be fun!" Tonight was just so strange. First, I had no idea who was an employee. There were two girls that were going around together over and over, they kept stopping at tables so I think they worked there...but they never had anything in their hands. Our server seemed to keep forgetting we were there. Or just forgetting she was employed in general. Seriously just not with it. She was very nice...when she remembered we were there. I will say the pizza crust tasted amazing. So many places that serve pizza think of the crust as just something to put toppings on, but this had great flavor. Sadly, it was rolled too thin and said toppings made it somewhat soggy. Caesar salad was ok. Romaine was really fresh and crisp and the homemade croutons were still a little warm. Very good. However, the dressing was rather bland. And when I asked for pepper for it, our waitress first had it in her head that I expected some kind of peppers on my salad. When she finally understood I meant black pepper, she went away. Eventually she returned. Not with a pepper grinder or a shaker, but a sauce bowl that had about 3 tablespoons of black pepper in it. I wouldn't use that much pepper if I cooked for myself for a week and used it with every dish. Had to ask for knives for some of people's meals. I will say the spicy lamb rigatoni was amazing, pasta just right and the sauce and flavor was peak. I am just not sure what to say, other than this was the strangest and most disorganized dining experience I have ever had. I think if a grown up showed up and brought the kids into line, this place would be amazing. Also, for what we paid, I expected to be wowed, not left wondering what I just experienced.

It was very dirty and blue cheese stuffed olives were a plus. - the love bun was to die for- definitely a treat l, filled with ooey gooey cheese and a solid spice from the jalapeño. - the ravioli was delicious- hearty, filling and flavorful, served with a generous portion of chicken on top. - prawn phad thai was a gamble and not your typical fast order noodle dish. This flavorful dish was beautifully presented with ample prawns. It was extra saucy and a on the sweet side, which I didn't expect for phad thai but was glad I tried . I'm not sure I'd call it phad thai and that's probably the disconnect. It's more of a veggie and prawn noodle dish with a small Asian flair, definitely not a glamorous name , haha! Dessert The crème brûlée is the dessert winner - the citrus flair was light and refreshing. The mud pie was just ok. Lots of ice cream on a cookie crust but not sure I'd call it mud pie.

The chicken and biscuit was a winner but be prepared for the food coma afterwards- worth every bite! Their fried chicken is perfectly seasoned and moist. I'm glad we shared the chicken sandwich because it would have been too much , too sweet, on its own.
