They're normally only open for dinner. But they have live music on Sunday brunch. The interior is rather impressive - something you would expect from a restaurant on The Strip! They have this massive chandelier in the middle of the restaurant, paintings of dogs all over, plush velvety chairs. The female employees wearing flapper girl outfits, and the men in collared shirts with sleeves rolled up and pants with suspenders. Morning Fog: Frittata, Humboldt Fog goat cheese, smoked onions, watercress, and overnight tomato. Our server was kind enough to check with the kitchen if they can leave out the tomato due to a tomato allergy. This was simple yet fantastic. 4/5 Pork Belly: You can get this as a side instead of the basic bacon or sausage. It's soft and has a mild flavor. Not smokey, not salty, and a little sweet. 3.5/5 Longganisa Sliders and Fries: Three sliders of beef patty mixed with longganisa. Longganisa is Filipino sausage that's a little sweet, tangy, fatty and salty. It's a nice twist to a burger/ slider. The fries were crisp and well-salted. The ketchup should've been banana ketchup to tie in with the Filipino flavors. 3.5/5 The Hummingbird: Spun sugar nest, banana bread, candies pecans, cinnamon ice cream, cream cheese frosting, and dried pineapple flower. This was a definite highlight from our brunch. Nobody makes Hummingbird cake in Vegas in town anymore. This is their modern twist. The flavor components are all there but deconstructed well offering different textures. 5/5 When you're ready for your check, they give you cotton candy. What a nice little touch! If there's anything they do really well, it's in the way they pay attention to details. The service was good but can be improved. One server is helping you but forgets. Here comes another server and you repeat yourself and you finally get what you've been asking for. You have to take a few steps to get to the door. This place is located in the Arts District in downtown Las Vegas. Decided to try it out for brunch one Saturday. Walked in and the restaurant was not too busy so we were able to get seated immediately. The decor and aesthetics at this restaurant is very unique and stands out from other restaurants in vegas. They incorporate natural lighting with chic decor, velvet seatings and beautiful chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Our server was very nice and had good recommendations for us. For drinks we decided to start with the smokin section drink and spicy little mama drink. Both were nicely crafted and refreshing to the taste. For food, we ordered the shareable plate called the morning glory and also the chicken biscuits. The morning glory consists of banana bread toast, potato rosti, pork belly, frittata, foie cornbread. Everything was good on the palate for sure, very tasteful. You can't go wrong with this platter because you sweet to savory to salty with all the items and it's very filling amongst two or maybe three people. My favorite was our order of chicken biscuits. I was worried that I'd need some extra jelly or butter but it was perfectly delicious as is. Then at the end of the meal we were given free cotton candy with the bill, not sure the significance of this but it was a cute touch. We enjoyed it. Overall the staff here are very attentive and working together to ensure you have a good experience. If you are looking for a new brunch spot, please check this restaurant out. Palate was one of the booths at Picnic in the Alley 2025, the impressive women-driven event showcasing all manner of creative fields from food and drink to music and crafts. Marisa Martino, as one of Palate's owners, was there as rep while Chef Sterling Buckley fashioned two of the most delicious bites I tried that night. This is the long story as to why I decided to try Palate again, this time during its Happy Hour. Food Oysters ($6 for 6): A Wednesday-Thursday special. Impressively large pieces, very fresh with a great "slip" sensation on the tongue. Accompanied by three house-made sauces; my favorite of the trio was the pickled lemon vinaigrette. Longganisa Sliders ($8): One of the Happy Hour food offerings. Two mini-burgers, each with a substantial and juicy sausage patty, cut with the sharp slaw and flavorful relish. Buns retained structure while also being a soft chew. Drink Vodka'd Coffee (complimentary): A delicious shot awarded to guests to enjoy. Lucy in the Sky ($16): Cute interesting presentation, from the mushroom-shaped glass to the tree cross-section tray dotted with ceramic toadstools and a piece of gray wool set on fire. Drink itself had a delightful spicy ginger bite. The Show Malbec 2024 ($8): One of the Happy Hour wine selections. Very solid pour. Tea for One ($16): Elaborate presentation, glassware decorated with gilded enamel flowers set on a golden serving tray. Drink was smooth and refreshing. Came with a crisp tasty gingersnap. Sunday brunch at Palate in Las Vegas is an excellent way to start your day. The atmosphere immediately pulls you in, with large, comfortable chairs, plenty of natural light, and a cozy bar area. The mini-den/library near the entrance adds charm, and the open-kitchen design lets you see the chefs in action, adding to the experience. We began with the Shrimp Toast, and it was outstanding. The combination of chili garlic butter, furikake, sunny egg, scallion sauce, and sourdough was incredibly well-balanced. It's easily one of the best toasts I've ever had. Next, we shared the Half Bird Palate Board, which was packed with flavor. The fried chicken was juicy, with perfectly crispy and seasoned skin. Lime wedges and in-house hot sauce offered fun ways to mix up each bite. The sides were just as impressive: the kimchi mac and cheese was rich and creamy with a unique crunch and heat, and the braised greens were smoky and slightly acidic, with just the right amount of heat from habanero slices. The biscuits, with their crispy tops and flaky middles, were excellent on their own but even better with the maple butter. The green tomato jam was a creative touch, though I kept going back to the maple butter every time. For dessert, we tried the Palate De Dulcet, but it didn't quite hit the mark. While the strawberry cotton candy was fun and delicious, the other elements fell short. The banana bread and mini chocolate cakes were overly sweet due to a clunky-piped cream cheese frosting (see photo), and the brittle was difficult to eat because the pieces were too large to eat and too hard to break. The yuzu pie reminded me of key lime pie, but the crust was slightly underbaked. After such a strong start to the meal, this dish felt like a letdown. The service was friendly and welcoming, but it felt a bit disorganized. We had multiple staff members taking orders, refilling drinks, and clearing plates. While the attentiveness was appreciated at first, it started to feel like interruptions were happening too often, especially as our meal wrapped up. Palate's brunch is absolutely worth trying for the savory dishes alone, but I'd recommend skipping dessert and heading out into Downtown Las Vegas to explore other options. With so many great spots nearby, you're sure to find something that ends your meal on a high note. The brunch was a slam dunk five-star experience until we ordered the desert plate. I will absolutely return for brunch and would love to return for dinner. read more

The Queso Saganki they light on fire, it is a beautiful presentation and it's also very tasty. The dessert was lovely, the hummingbird looks beautiful and has delicious flavors. However, I would not recommend the caviar. I like to have it served with sour cream, blinis and maybe some hard boiled eggs. But it was served with cornbread and it does not go well with cornbread. Also, the only negative thing that happened in the evening was a woman by the name of Fiona or something like that. She came quickly and brought the queso which she was supposed to light on fire, but she didn't give us any warning. And when we confronted her about it, she became extremely agitated and rude. And she just said " I can bring out the manager. Do you want the manager?" I said no, but the manager Tammy came to us anyways and gave us a a new Queso Saganki... Overall, a great restaurant! The food was absolutely amazing and the cocktails were definitely thought through with it's aesthetics and flavor profiles. You can tell they care about presentation and flavor here. We went for Sunday brunch, and overall, I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The ambience was great--the live music created a cool, upbeat vibe, and the décor with the elegant chairs and tables added a nice touch. Even the bathrooms were spacious and private, which I appreciated. As for the food, it was just okay and felt overpriced for what it was. I ordered the Half Bird, which comes with fried chicken, biscuits, kimchi mac and cheese, and truffle corn. I substituted the kimchi mac for kimchi fried rice, but unfortunately, it was mostly kimchi with very little rice. On top of that, the restaurant had run out of the truffle corn and didn't let me know--so when my plate arrived with fried green tomatoes instead, I was caught off guard. The manager did stop by our table to check in. When I told him the food was just okay, he seemed surprised but asked for my honest feedback, which I gave. I was blown away by everything- the atmosphere, the service, the food. I don't know how I missed this Arts District establishment as I love the area, but I'm so glad a friend made reservations for us. The decor is Mad Tea Party meets modern upscale industrial, if that makes sense. The bartender and our server both knew the menu and made great recommendations, leading us to try a few different cocktails before moving on to the southern fried chicken. At first we had sticker shock but our server explained that the entrees are shareables. It was served family style- 8 pieces of chicken- with 2 sides (a kimchi mac-n-cheese and a deconstructed street corn, I forget the actual name). We added in an appetizer (queso dip) and additional veggie on the side (a perfectly cooked asparagus) and definitely had more than enough food for a table of 4 adults (2 women, 2 men just as an fyi). A vendor at Container Park recommended the Palate when we were there in early June (late post). We walked from Fremont St. (less than 1.5 miles one way) and wow...this place ROCKED!! From the location (the Arts District), to the ambience, to the food, and to our server, K, it was absolutely incredible all the way around. For drinks, we had the Smokin' Section (presentation was incredible!!) and The Rose. For dinner, we had the Prawn Spring Special and Miso Pork Belly. Main Street has a fun new spot that is worth a visit. The service is fantastic, the vibe is funky, and the food is delicious. I wanted to give the full five stars, but the pricing of menu items is a bit inflated. I stopped in last night for dinner around 6:30. This is a great time to come in because you can see dusk descend on the Arts District through the large windows at the front in the glow of chandeliers overhead. At 7, a singer/piano player came in and performed jazzy covers throughout the night. He was really talented and brought great energy to the space. We ordered a bottle of wine for the table while my brother and I ordered cocktails. I had their rendition of an espresso martini, which I highly recommend. My brother ordered the drink that was delivered to the table in a smoking box and was impressed with the flavor as well as the presentation. For appetizers, we had a 1/2 dozen West Coast oysters, the "Queso di Saganaki," and the "Lady in Green" salad. The oysters were pristine! The "queso" dish reminded me of a flaming saganaki that you could get on the westside of Chicago and was pretty good. However they failed to heat it up enough to get the cheese to that melty consistency that I look for in this type of dish. The salad was tasty and fresh but felt incomplete. The dish was a couple of slices of green apple covered in a dressing and arranged on the plate with a few croutons. It could have been a knockout, sharable salad for the table if placed on a bed of greens. For entrees, my mother ordered the pork belly app, which was delicious and reminded me of the pork chasu on top of ramen. I ordered the mushroom ravioli which was ok but not really a show stopper. The best dish by far was what my sister and brother ordered. They split the fried chicken meal. This dish was the highlight of the evening and the reason I would come back. Along with the perfectly fried chicken was a creamy mac and chees, sweet roasted carrots, and fluffy freshly baked homemade biscuits. The service was impeccable. From the kitchen to the front of the house, everyone was working hard to make the night enjoyable. I appreciated that the server remembered my family and welcomed me on my first visit. Loved this foodie forward restaurant. Spots like this is why we live in Las Vegas. Famous chefs on the strip leave and open their own creative concepts. Food- super creative, well balanced, reasonably priced. - duck dynasty: I'm not a huge fan of cornbread, but this dish was tasty. It was too big for two people, so I wish they did half size. This would be great for a larger group, and the duck bacon and gochujang torchon were my favorites. Coconut scallops- the scallops were so fresh in this dish. Perfect texture and flavor. It could have been more cold though. Crown kale and persimmon salad- I've never seen kale like this before. i'm so glad I got to try it since I love trying new things. We asked for the food to be coursed out, but those three dishes all came out at once. Scallops ended up getting warm, and the cornbread from the duck Dynasty ended up getting cold and soggy on the bottom. It would have been better if they coursed out the food for us a little bit more, so we can order more drinks along the way. Our final dish was the Branzino. The skin was so crispy! One of the best I've ever had. The lighting was kind of off since it was pretty bright for such sexy furniture. I loved the live music (until 10pm).
