Sadly, I have to modify nearly all of Pagliacci's regular pizzas because there are items I don't like (artichokes, mushrooms, black olives), or they're spicy. Their Pagliaccio salad is fantastic; the dijon vinaigrette really seals it for me. I do wish they had some other salad options though. With all of that said, their seasonal pizzas are really where they shine, and I truly wish they'd add some of them to their regular menu! They've had a roasted cauliflower pizza, butternut sage pizza, and don't even get me started on their recent cheeseburger pizza. Their Waji pizza currently on the menu is just ridiculously good. I'd probably order from them a lot more often if their full menu consisted of the level of creativity and flavor of their seasonal pizzas. read more

I freaking LOVE Pagliacci. Especially in January - that is when they offer my favorite Primo, the Rosemary Potato Primo. The description goes as follows: "CHICKEN SEASONED IN A SWEET AND SPICY MARINADE COMBINED WITH ROASTED ROSEMARY POTATOES, PICKLE RED ONIONS, KASSERI CHEESE AND MOZZARELLA OVER ROASTED GARLIC OIL AND RED PEPPER FLAKES. Yummy! Crispy & light dough. The chicken primo is pretty good, wish the chicken & veggies were a little more roasted. Super hot and fresh out of the oven. Love the salad, hate the GF pizza. Why is the GF pizza so bad? It's like they are skimping on toppings and sauce like it's trying to be a subtle sophisticated gluten pizza that relies on a lighter greasier crust, but you have to adjust for the dryer/harder GF crust. I keep thinking it's a fluke and trying agan, but the GF pizza really sucks. Plus it's like $35 for an 11" pizza. Yikes. Pagliacci is a pizza chain with 25 locations all over the greater Seattle area. This location is in the Lake City area off the 522/Lake City Way. This location has a small parking lot as well as residential street parking. I ordered the italiano ($4.75) and the extra pepperoni ($4.50). The italiano was decent and was similar to a margherita but with roasted garlic. I preferred the extra pepperoni because I liked the extra meatiness and the crispy edges of the pepperoni. The pizza was good but I don't know if it was worth the price. The slices were normal-sized so it wasn't like you were getting more for your money. The staff was nice and friendly though. read more

This is mainly a review for all of Pagliacci and not just this location, I just happen to order from this one a lot. I typically order a lot of Pagliacci for work events, (think 10-15 pizzas every 2 weeks.) And while I have it that much, I still enjoy it each time. The chewy crust and the fun flavor combinations make it one of my favorite chain places in the Seattle area. Recently I had their seasonal butternut squash and prosciutto and it honestly exceeded all my expectations. It was subtly sweet yet had the salt to balance it out. Also tried their mushroom seasonal flavor and also impeccable. Love a good medley of shrooms. The salads are always fresh and so good and whenever they deliver, which is almost every time, its quick, efficient, and they do so well in separating the salad from the hot pizza. The pizza had a good balance of bread to toppings ratio (which is what I like to judge my pizza on). Their prosciutto added just the perfect amount of saltiness and protein to the pizza. But their breadsticks tho... it was amazing! They are super soft but also slightly crunchy on the outside. It's topped of with some cheese, which adds extra flavor to them. They also come with a side of marinara sauce, which I thought to be not too sweet or bland. Pagliacci is always a slam dunk, but especially so on Tuesdays when they partner with local businesses for their Tuesday giveaways with all orders of a pie. Macrina Bakery is apparently our weakness, as we've participated in the Sourdough Bagel & Cinnamon Roll giveaways. I LOVE their flexible ordering--you can order 1/2 and 1/2 pies, omit ingredients, etc. and that you can do it online! We are creatures of habit and usually go for the meat-heavy pies, but we tried 1/2 Funghi Salciccia & 1/2 Roman Holiday recently, and actually enjoyed the Roman Holiday a lot more. I'm a red sauce fiend, but the Roman Holiday with its olive oil base won me over! They're also fantastic about social distancing, and will text you when your order is ready so folks can avoid having to congregate in the store while waiting for orders. read more

I always get the classic pepperoni pizza, but their seasonals are quite good too, and I'm always waiting to see what will release! I want to say we have pagliacci's for dinner maybe once or twice a month. Anyways, the pizza is always super fresh and super tasty! The quality is always super high as well, and you could taste it in the ingredients and the way it's made. I also love the designs on the boxes, and they always change up the art on the box which is really cool! I actually kept a few (clean) pizza boxes just because of the cool art and design. OK, let's get this out of the way up front: I'm from NYC and I have opinions about pizza. I didn't have opinions about pizza until I left NY 20 years ago-- I didn't need to; I never had a bad slice and didn't need to think about what made a slice good. Sure some were better than others-- Genaro Pizza on Staten Island, you are my first and still most ardent pizza love-- but they were all respectable. But I have not had a decent slice since I left NYC (except when i go back to visit)... not even at places that claim to have "New York Style" slices (no you don't.)-- until this week. I've also eaten at other Pagliacci (on NE 145th/greenwood) and found them to be serviceable... so I really wasn't expecting much except a semi-decent slice. But the 2 cheese slices i had were incredible! Not NY pizza, but damn close-- that cheese blend was perfect...the way it melted was perfect. that burnt crumbs smell and slight bitterness on the bottom of the crust, on point. The crust was a revelation-- chewy AF, and also lightly crispy and crunchy. And the sauce! OMG, it's been ages since I've tasted the purity of Italian tomatoes on a pizza! not overly worked, playing it's part in the symphony, and with a pleasantly surprising finish of heat. I never thought I could enjoy a slice sitting in my dark car in the parking lot of a closed pet store, as the sky turned dusk this much. So my love affair with the cheese slice, or as we say in NY, " a slice" was reawakened....so much so that I went back to Pagliacci another 2 times, I'm a little embarrassed to admit....But i went to other locations near where i was and they weren't as good... and i have to say 145th is the worst...consistently not good. The one by Magnusson was a close 2nd, but this location-- mwah! my compliments to the chef! So why not 5 stars? b/c the slices are too small! They're almost kiddie sized, and because at this location as well as others, they always run out of slices. I mean you do 1 thing-- sell pizza--- you can't predict how to keep a flow of pies so hungry peeps don't have to wait "8 more minutes" for a new cheese pie to come out during rush hour? c'mon....get it together! read more

So Pagliacci, my old friend, here we are. Through the years you've thrilled and disappointed. Favorites: Margherita, Pesto Primo, Italiano, Crostata (this one's seasonal and you should look for it in June) and build-your-own ricotta and fresh garlic. Good pizza when not undercooked (which is only 15%-ish of the time). Pricey for what you get. I confess I'm from New England where a pizza does not cost $20-$30. Boston pizza is thin-crust Italian pizza, think Santarpio's, Umberto or Picco--it's not so precious, it's pizza. My biggest annoyance with Pagliacci is their lack of decent or remotely healthy salads. Pasta salad? Ew. No. Caesar salad? No. I'm vegetarian. Chicken salad without the chicken? Pagliaccio salad without the salami? That's what we usually do but we are very sad when there is meat in that salad, which is honestly only about one in ten times-- but that goes straight into the garbage. Biggest complaint is grit. Grit in salad is really hard to overlook, and it happens often with Pagliacci salad. Triple wash the lettuce. All that said, I think we're ordering Pagliacci tonight: Pesto Primo. Do not order delivery from here!!! I had a super stressful day and ordered delivery from here around 9:30 pm. I got a text saying the order was on its way. My brothers and I came in for a quick lunch on our way to the airport. It's kind of in the middle of some very busy streets so it was a bit of a headache to find it and then find parking. There are some spaces on the side of the building but it looks difficult to get in and out if. I opted for street parking which wasn't so bad. As soon as we came in, the cashier greeted us and took our order. We had the Centioli and Sicilian Chicken Salad. It took some time for the food to come out but that's because they make it fresh. I grew up eating NY style pizza for most of my life and it's been hard to find a good replacement in Seattle. Pagliacci has popped up on food blogs, Instagram, pretty much everywhere as one of Seattle's go to pizza spots. And I think it does an admirable job at thin crust pizzas with NY style flavors and toppings. The crust holds up well, the red sauce is not too sweet, and the toppings are fresh and plentiful.
