Page's - Half a Nancy B's chocolate chip cookie sundae with frozen yogurt - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Dear Page Dairy Mart, Why, oh why aren't you open year round. Your soft serve is to die for. Your arctic swirls are divine. The krunchies are superior. When the day comes in the spring when you open, this is the best day in ice cream heaven. But when you close, this is a tragic day for us ALL. As summer is nearing its end, I wonder, "why are you not open year round?" Sincerely, J What to get: twist in a cone with krunchies, pretzel arctic swirl read more

Located beyond the crowded streets of South Side, Page Dairy Mart has been serving soft serve ice cream for over sixty years. The shop is open seasonally and the spring opening is a cause to celebrate, signaling the end of winter and beginning of warmer temperatures. The menu and ice cream possibilities are seemingly endless, from basic ice cream cones to the behemoth South Side Shake: a combination milkshake with a separate sundae on top. Although I've yet to make a dent in the full menu, I recommend going for a classic on your first trip: a vanilla cone covered with jimmies. While the ice cream is tasty (more so than similar chain ice cream shops throughout the city), the main appeal is the offbeat location and the celebratory camaraderie of the crowded parking lot during those long summer nights. Note: The shop is cash only, although there is an ATM located on the side of the building. read more

Have to say this ice cream joint is great! This has been my 2nd visit since yesterday, 2 days in a row! Was born here but raised in the DMV & sad there isn't a cool ice cream joint in the DMV! Their ice cream is soft, full of flavor, reasonably priced & great for all members of the family. I will definitely come back when I visit Pgh again! read more

Was my second time here and wasn't dissapointed! The first time I came here I had a strawberry shortcake sundae and today I had an XS sundae with strawberries and bananas. I really liked both sundaes I tried. My boyfriend got an XS chocolate sundae with fudge, his sister got a fudge brownie sundae, and her friend got a blue raspberry dipped vanilla cone. Everyone liked what they got! The only thing is I ordered a hot dog also and the actual hot dog tasted yummy but the bun was kind of weird. Other than that, it's a must go to if you're in Pittsburgh! read more

This place is awesome! The line may sometimes be long, but you'll be at the front before you know it. Everyone that works there is so polite, especially the Manager! read more

Never be turned off by the line! It is worth the wait, which is never that bad and goes by fairly quickly. My favorite thing to get there is an arctic blast with cookie dough! read more

Lines may be long, even during social distancing but it's nice to have a place where we can respectfully gather and cool off with something delicious! read more

This is one of our favorite ice cream places in Pittsburgh! Everything is delicious! EVERYTHING!!!! Only downside is that they only accept cash, oh and they aren't open year round! read more

Best soft serve in Pittsburgh. Especially when blueberries are in season!

Great ice cream. I used to come here all the time when I lived closer. The ice cream is great and the food is pretty good as well. Just your typical burgers, chicken fingers and other fast food but still decent tasting. read more

I grew up in Baldwin, so as a kid, the family and I would always frequent this place often. The Best ice cream around!!! I have to agree the arctic swirl is the best around!!! I suggest you try the chocolate covered pretzel!!! YUMM-O!!!! Good prices and fantastic people working there!!! read more

It's open for spring! Was pretty chilly out tonight but that didn't stop us from waiting in line for what we have been waiting for all winter!! Tonight I tried the cinnamon bun sundae topped with Carmel and nuts!! Yum, no matter what you get you'll love it !!! read more

Best Softserve in the burgh hands down the cookies are hot! You must try the chocolate chip cookie sundae.

100% Pittsburgh treasure! The Carmel sauce is the secret winner but also the burgers and rib eye sandwich! .......The soft serve is a totally different object! That's The Godfather! It tastes like 1955 all over!! read more

This place isn't very good. I ordered a sundae and asked for a flavored ice cream but was told they could only do chocolate or vanilla because of "how they mix it". It's a sundae so no mixing is involved so I don't understand that. Then when I got it, it was missing half the toppings that were listed in the description. Definitely not as good as people claim. Won't be going back. read more

The blueberry soft serve was so good! I'm a little grateful this isn't super close to me because I would have no restraint!! Glad we checked this out- we will be back FOR SURE! read more

Page's is a must have summer spot! Once you go once, I guarantee you'll go back! There ice cream is so good and there's so many different options to pick from! You could pick something different each time you go there, and still never run out of options. Not only do they have ice cream they also have food items such as hot dogs, burgers, nachos, etc. They get super busy on evenings and the line can be pretty long, but it moves quickly and it's part of the fun. They don't accept any cards, only cash...there is an atm outside of the building. The prices are so reasonable also! I love page's! read more

I was very underwhelmed with my latest purchase from Page. The Hot Nancy B - a great concept with warm chocolate chip cookies, hot fudge, ice cream, and whipped cream - suffered greatly from a lack of execution in three of the four components. Page continues to have the best texture of soft serve ice cream around, hands down. The flavor and sweetness were lacking which provided a very weak base for the rest of the sundae. The fudge, although deep and luxurious in appearance, again lacked flavor... it's amazing what a little salt and sugar could do to transform this into something great. The whipped cream is left unsweetened... this is a great concept to contrast a sundae that is exceptionally sweet, but in this application it simply fell flat. The cookies were far and away the best component... a thick and crispy exterior with large, melting gobs of chocolate inside and a balanced sweetness to contrast the thick, velvety ice cream. This will not prevent me from returning, but I hope the next time is a bit more satisfying. read more

This is one of the places we miss the most since moving from Pittsburgh. We visit every time we are here during its open months though. A visit a few weeks ago was just as good as ever! I adore their Southside Shakes (half shake half sundae). Their homemade ice cream cookies rock as well! And I love that they put plastic covers with a lip on their ice cream cones. Helps keep little (and big) hands clean while enjoying a cone. Prices can't be beat, the line moves fast, and everyone is always friendly. Will be back the next time we visit for sure! read more

This place is a Pittsbrgh tradition! You have to stop at pages Dairy and get some ice cream in the summer months!

Looks like this is the place to go to for soft serve ice cream! The location and environment are definitely unique, and the parking situation might be a bit difficult if a lot of people are there, but it's worth the wait. We tried the toasted coconut and birthday cake, and suffice to say both were amazing. Soft and smooth texture, deep flavors with real coconut flakes or cake batter, all in a nice tall cone. Can't wait to go back and try some other flavors or maybe their shaved ice. read more

Most likely the best ice cream place in the area. Its modern yet nostlagic. They are sure to have something for everyone. Today i had a chocolate malt and it was so legit i may just have to get another one tomorrow read more

Page's is one of my favorite places to go for ice cream in Pittsburgh. It is a pretty cheap place to go for the amount of ice cream that they give. I'm a big fan of soft serve ice cream so if you are too then definitely check this place out. Their cookie sundae and yinzer sundae are to die for and can easily be shared among 2 or 3 people. The only thing that I wish they would would do is give out samples of the ice cream flavors and take credit/debit cards. They are known for their ice cream but they also have food (burgers, hot dogs, nachos etc) I personally never tried it. But I'm sure it's good as well! read more

Despite the location under the railroad tracks, this ice cream rocks. I love the endless options. The wait isn't too long even if the line is long. Yummmmmmmm. read more

Can't go wrong with this place. We've been here a few times and I always get the same thing (small chocolate ice cream in a cone) but now that I'm reading other reviews, i NEED to switch it up and try something else. Plenty of parking for this sweet little place. read more

This is by far my favorite ice cream shop is Pittsburgh. There is such a variety to choose from and it is GOOD! A strawberry sundae with whipped cream (fresh, from a whipped cream machine!!!) and nuts is my personal favorite. The freckled lemonade is also a must-try! This place has become a summer tradition for my family and we have never been disappointed. They make smaller sized cones for my kids and will make any custom requests that we have. Parking can be a challenge, but we always find a way! There is only one bench seat along the side and there are milk crates in the back that can double as seats. I think the lack of seating is actually good because people don't linger as long and it keeps the traffic flowing. It is cash only, but an ATM is located at the side of the building. read more

They have a huge selection of yummy treats! I had the strawberry shortcake and added bananas on it. They were more than willing to customize my order and it was amazing! I would recommend it highly to anyone!! read more

Love Pages! The ice cream is well worth the line! I love that they incorporate other local treats into their menu and think it is great to see everyone supporting each other. It is always so sad to see them close and I look forward to them opening! I love the Nancy B cookie sundae! read more

This is the best ice cream place in Pittsburgh!!! They have many flavors, many mix ins, sprinkles, dips, multiple sundae options and snow cones. The variety is endless! The line is usually long, but goes quickly and is well worth the wait... Every time. This place is consistently great! read more

Absolutely amazing ice cream place with super reasonable prices! The chocolate chip cookie sundaes are game changing. They actually heat the cookies up in an oven before putting them on your ice cream. Portion sizes are huge. This place is totally worth visiting! read more

This is my favorite local ice cream shop in Pittsburgh. They value the customer, it tastes delicious, and they can even make it your way. They are quick, even when the line is wrapping around the store. The artic swirls are amazing, and they get creative and make new sundaes/shakes every year. Love this place and I'll always support them! read more

The best ice cream in the burgh!!! My husband and daughter love the simple cones and I always get the brownie sundae.. the brownie is always soft and warm and perfect. read more

The best soft serve I have ever had. Some flavors are better than others. Of the mint chocolate chip, toasted coconut, and pistachio that I tried last night (what can I say, I was hungry) the toasted coconut was the best. It has real pieces of toasted coconut. A very good value for your money. Don't expect to find any seating here. read more

I'd rate this joint 10 million stars if I could. Best ice cream in PGH!!! They serve sundaes, milkshakes, and the old school cherry dip cones. Cool historic photos adorn the building in the back, showing how the intersection/ area looked about 100 years ago. I love Page Dairy Mart so much I want to marry it. read more

On a busy Saturday night, my friend took me here telling me that the ice cream here is very good. I tried the Yinzer, which contained heath bar, chocolate and white chocolate pieces in a warm hot caramel topping. It was literally the calorie bomb, but I should have expected that; I really felt as if I ate another meal because for the price of about $4.50, the portion was humongous. It was delicious but little too sweet, but I am pretty sure that sweetness was due to the caramel topping and whipping cream. All in all though, this is a good ice cream joint. read more

Best ice cream in Pittsburgh! I love every single thing I've ever gotten here. I especially recommend the Raspberry Almond Torte Sundae and the Yinzer sundae... YUM! Support your local family-owned businesses! read more

Pure Americana right here! Some of the best soft serve ice cream in all of Pittsburgh! There menu is so vast, you could probably order something different every day of the summer! Personal favorites include South Side Shakes, Arctic Swirls, and the Nancy B's Cookie Sundae (If you don't know about Nancy B's cookies in Homestead, then make sure you add it to your list of delicious places to visit!). Prepare to wait in long lines here, but trust me....it's worth it. Also a cash only establishment....there is an ATM on site for those of us like me who never carry cash! read more

If I could give Page's 10 stars, I would! This is hands down the best ice cream in all of Pittsburgh! The employees working inside are always so patient, kind and knowledgeable. All of their ice cream and treats are absolutely delicious and you will never leave disappointed!! If you live in Pittsburgh or are visiting, make sure you stop by!! read more

!!**PSA**!!! THE BEST ICECREAM IN THE PITTSBURGH AREA. I've probably had at least ten different items off their ever growing menu (I have a new favorite that I stick with now- S'mores milkshake) and everything is AMAZING. The staff is always super friendly and helpful even when the line is wrapped around the parking lot (they are always super fast and always get my order right). Seriously, every time I go here I am never disappointed. My pup also loves it there too. She gets a pup cup that has a dog treat set on top of a big swirl of vanilla icecream! If you're in the Pittsburgh area, even if you're not, make a trip to Page's... You won't be disappointed! read more
