Ice cream dessert nachos w/crunchies and strawberry caramel sauce,Waffle cone chips
Dana B.

Nice soft serve so smooth and creamy I fell in love at first bite. The ice cream nachos(vanilla) is my favorite must have the crunchies with strawberry and caramel sauce. The waffle cone nacho are the perfect combination so thin and crispy perfect for scooping

Standard ice cream counter. Perfect for classic soft serve cones. I haven't tried anything else, but I would like to! The menu has so much variety. There is always a line, but it moves pretty quickly. Can't wait for warmer weather and more reasons to go back!

Okay hear me out... is this 5-star ice cream? Maybe not. But is it a super convenient location, no frills, and an absolute Pittsburgh vibe? For sure. If I don't feel like driving to Page's or I'm generally in the Bloomfield area in search of dessert, I always pick this place. I recommend chocolate/vanilla soft serve with krunchies! The krunchies are the best part!

Reeses Peanut Butter Fudge Sundae

Ice cream is my go to sweet treat during the summer. A friend recommended we head to Twisters in the Bloomfield neighborhood of Pgh. It's a walk up window and you line up on the sidewalk. The line moved quickly. I got the Reese's peanut butter fudge sundae. I could have used more Reese's cups personally, and it wasn't the prettiest sundae I've ever been handed. But the taste was there which is what matters. My friend got the ice cream nachos. The waffle chips were definitely stale. I wish they would have been made in house instead of something that looked like it came out of a box. I'd definitely return, they offer soft serve AND a variety of hersheys hard ice cream to please everyone's preferences!

Ice Cream Nachos

Cute and tasty ice cream shop in Lawrenceville/Bloomfield area. We live nearby and love coming here on warm nights! Highly recommend the ice cream nachos!

medium vanilla soft serve in cone and cup

One of my favorite soft serve stops in PGH. It's tucked away on Main street among neighborhood houses. Small hole in the wall joint run usually by 1-2 people. They now accept card and have an expanded menu that included nachos! There is rarely a line but even when there is it goes by quickly. The ice cream servings are huge and well worth the price tag (which is pretty cheap!) They have oat milk ice cream and non-sugar options in hard ice cream too which I've never seen before so it's neat that they are being inclusive. It's a walk up window that you order from, so expect to either eat in your car, walk around the neighborhood, or hope that the 1 bench out front the store is available to sit at. Either way, the ice cream will be delicious from this local neighborhood stop.

Twisters is an absolute must try this summer! Great ice cream and the portion size is huge. I had a medium soft serve in cone-much more than I anticipated. There's a lot of foot traffic here so get in line early!

I can't believe how many people in Lawrenceville and Bloomfield still don't know about Twisters! It has been around forever, and it's our Summertime go to on a hot day. Great softserve. I get a small twist cone (it is still huge) dipped in rainbow sprinkles. I have heard they have great chocolate milkshakes too! This is the perfect spot after the Bloomfield pool! Try the italian ice with vanilla soft serve on top. Prices are super cheap and the workers are always very friendly. There is free street parking on the residential streets nearby.

This is a ice cream "stand" type They have delish soft serve Reasonable prices I stopped by for a vanilla chocolate swirl cone With chocolate sprinkles Ice cream was great the sprinkles were thicker then I really like I know crazy but that's me I like them a thin Parking on the street can be a hassle Also there is no seating so it's all to go I'll be back

"Hot" fudge brownie sundae

I just got a hot fudge brownie sundae & the brownie was so hard the spoon wouldn't even break it. I was pretty upset so I did tell the worker & they offered to make another one, but it was just as horrible. This is definitely one of the worse sundaes I have ever had. Should be "Hot" fudge & a warm brownie. Very inedible and unappealing.

Incredible variety of cold treats in a store-front location. This place is a real neighborhood gem! Nice staff, big scoops, and not expensive. There are lots of Hershey's ice cream options to satisfy a chocolate-lover, but if that's not your jam, you have just got to try the strawberry cheese cake.

We got small brownies flurry and small vanilla and chocolate swirl on a cone. The portion size is huge for the price. I was kind of disappointed for the flurry. I'm love the McDonald's McFlurry and DQ Blizzards. Their flurry is just pretty much soft serve with toppings in the bottom and the top. The regular soft serve is good. It's not too sweet and too watery. I would go back just for their soft serve

Amazing soft serve, great milkshakes and sweet flurries. They have little treats for dogs too! I love this place

Menu offerings were so vast, it took me a while to read through everything because it all sounded so good! They have a couple of rotating specials and different grades of matcha depending on caffeine levels and a weekly rotation of their soft serve. In addition to matcha lattes, they have shaved ice, soft serve floats, espresso + matcha combos, refreshers, and combos I never thought of but wanted to try. I love a yuzu drink so I tried their yuzu cool, a yuzu blended ice drink topped with their grade 1 matcha. It was amazing. The matcha quality was fantastic and you could really taste the difference. My friend tried one of spring menu offerings, a peach based latte and loved it. There's very limited seating inside so be aware. Street parking outside. I can't wait to return!!

The black sesame flavor was strong and present, but I think the ube flavor was lacking. The earl gray ice cream has a very strong floral aftertaste. Earl gray has that tea taste usually, but it was very overpowering. The jade fog latte was good as a matcha with a lavender cold form but for $8 as a matcha with cold foam is steep. There's only about 5 tables in the store, but sometimes some ppl come here to study. Street parking is free nearby.

Since then, I've seen Leona's ice cream sandwiches at various supermarkets, but it's always been a tad on the pricey side! I would also consider myself an ice-cream aficionado but I can't say the same about the sandwich form! Fast forward a year and somehow I see a menu for Leona's ice cream sandwiches and they are the most luxurious combinations I had ever seen! I was under the impression that everything was dairy-free so I knew I had to finally stop by! We had dinner down the street and we absolutely had to stop by for dessert. Service was friendly from the moment we came in, and in addition to getting some very tasty samples I even learned the wallpaper was designed by the same woman who worked on the team art for the NFL Draft this year! Anyways, ice cream was delicious. There's a rotating list of flavors, and I happened to try the raspberry ripple, ube, and strawberry. They all happened to be dairy free, but I'm not sure that everything on the menu actually is. Everything is clearly labeled though! I wasn't a fan of the cookies that day so I ended up going with a scoop. Scoop size descriptions were also excellent! The mini is a golf ball, and the regular is a tennis ball. The strawberry was DELICIOUS and I would absolutely get it again, I also don't know how I could walk by in the future without stepping in!

With so many creative flavors, desserts, and toppings there is something for everyone here. On warm days, wait time can be up to an hour but I promise it's worth the wait. Luckily, we live relatively close, so we have plenty of chances to drive by and hope for a shorter line. My usual order is the Arctic Swirl with vanilla ice cream and M&M's mixed in, which comes in medium or large. It's simple, nostalgic, and always hits the spot. My husband's go-to is the Nancy B sundae, which is another favorite in our family. Now that my toddler is 2, she loves going to the "ice cream store," which makes Page's feel even more special for us. I love that it's a multi-generational business and hope they continue to have success for many years to come.
