She listened to what I wanted to have worked on (left hip area) and really put her focus there while keeping me informed and checking in along the way. Samantha was knowledgeable when it came to working with runners and I really appreciated that! She also gave me simple homework post-massage to help me keep my injuries at bay. Stacey M also gave a really wonderful & relaxing total body massage. I appreciated that she set the tone on keeping talking to a minimum and keeping the focus on total relaxation - all while keeping her pressure medium/firm the whole way through! I loved that she kept her room comfortably toasty and (with permission) used essential oils part of the way through. The massage was okay. I wanted deep tissue, like a whole hour and a half of deep tissue massaging on my back but it didn't really go that way. Also, the massage is $2 a minute and they include 10 minutes of changing time apparently, so you pay $20 to get dressed and undressed. I think this place is a bit of a rip off. Staff is kind but I wouldn't come here again. read more

I booked a massage for my older sister who is a wheelchair user, spending about 90% of the her time in a wheelchair due to a stroke 15 years ago. I explained her unique health situation and they were very accommodating to her special needs. The studio is so peaceful with warm, lovely wood walls. It is truly a restful and welcoming haven. Don was her massage therapist and he skillfully massaged her arms and legs, working through the years of inactivity and stiffness in her muscles and joints. He really understood what is going on with her body. He has the most wonderful disposition and addressed my sister with sensitivity, kindness and humor. My sister left the studio a different person - brighter, lighter and more alive. It truly was an illuminating experience. We will definitely be returning. I have chronic shoulder pain and get therapeutic massages with Shannon. Recently the pain has been extra bad after missing a few sessions month. I finally made it in this week....she had to work extra hard this session. As expected, my back was really sore the next day and I had a deep sharp nagging pain in my shoulder. Stacey is excellent! I don't normally get massages, but a while back I was having a ton of back pain, to the point where I would wake up multiple times in the night. Stretching and Advil didn't help. Stacey's insights into the problem were right on and she knew exactly the right muscles to work on. After the first session, I slept all night without waking up from back pain for the first time in weeks. After seeing her for a few sessions, I was totally back to normal. Let me tell you, as a hygienist, you are gonna be hurting EVERYWHERE. From shoulders, to neck, to back, to hands. My body was dead before Heather worked miracles on me. I called in Sunday night hoping they could fit me in that day but as expected they were fully booked so I asked if they had anything the next morning and indeed, a 9am on Monday was available. They send you a confirmation email immediately which was helpful for forgetful people like myself. .::Upon arrival::. Key things I noted was that it was a very small place. They had a small minor sitting area where she warmly greeted me and handed me a form to fill out. Then she brought me into the massage room which was the only room they had. She locked the front door so we would not be disturbed which I appreciated. She left the room to let me remove my clothing and lay on the bed. I let her know when I was ready. .::The Massage Experience::. The room is dimly lit with Christmas lights and a candle. The aroma was relaxing and not too strong on scent. Heather came in and confirmed I wanted medium pressure for my massage and told me to inform her if anything feels too rough or if I liked something particularly done longer. She doubled check if there were any areas I do NOT want her touching. MY GOD. She massaged every single part of my body. From head to toes. She went in with a focus on my neck, shoulder, and lower back as written down on the paper. She massaged my legs, feet, hands, arms, scalp, face, EVERYTHING. Massage oil was applied throughout. She even put on some hot towels on my eyes and on my hip/stomach area where I usually get really bad cramps during that time of the month (I DIDNT EVEN TELL HER). The pressure was ALWAYS on point. I never once stopped her. No phone calls to distract us during the experience unlike some places with the phone going off and the masseuse having to leaving during your time to pick it up. After the massage she told me to breathe and stretch a little on my own before getting up. She left the room to let me put my clothes back on. I came out and she had a glass of water ready for me on the table which was so thoughtful. What I appreciate most was she actually gave me a full hour. Some places always cut you down by 10 minutes. They count the time you use to take off/put on clothes as part of the session which I always did not like. A great find which I will go very frequently and recommend to all my friends. BTW, Heather just started in the fall here but shes been in the field since 1995!!!! She looks so young though! read more

I have a longstanding injury with functional impairment and not infrequent bouts of pain, as well as compensatory issues all around that area of my body. Stacey clearly understands anatomy and has helped with my pain and stiffness even after just two appointments. She is very responsive to feedback about pressure or any other concerns and is very accommodating. The studio is clean and relaxing -- it feels safe without being sterile or intimidating. Had a massage with Cat today and it was wonderful. I am quite tense right now so my upper back tighten up, in addition I am a proud mama of a large five months old baby. Each massage session is tailored to what you and your body needs at the time. I have a few different health ailments (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), and Stacey Marie always asks me what is going on in my life and how I'm feeling physically and emotionally. I also have fairly severe TMJ (I grind my teeth at night, my jaw locks at times, & I wear a night guard to help), and Stacey Marie even does TMJ release massage! My jaw always feels so much more relaxed after getting the TMJ release massage. Did I mention that Stacey Marie includes hot stones in her massages at no additional fee? Other Spas and salons charge a lot more for this service, and it is hands-down the best part of her massages! I like that this isn't a huge and impersonal spa or salon. Her practice is located down a cute corridor near some other shops, and if you feel so inclined, you can walk nearby to the Wine Bar, a coffee shop, or take a walk on the beach. Her new space is beautiful, clean, and nicely decorated. She changes her window displays often. I have had multiple surgeries including a total knee replacement, bunions on my foot AND I suffer from degenerative disc disease in my lower back. Yep, I'm a wreck. First time EVER getting a massage. Didn't know what to expect to be honest. I slept wrong and had a terrible pain in my shoulder and a stiff neck. Now I have woken up with a stiff neck before, just ICE it and a day or so it goes away, but this pain was a pain I have never felt before, an almost consistent stabbing pain. While at work I couldn't focus on anything and tried everything. Finally after 4 hours of work I caved in to go look for a massage therapist. Jumped on YELP and found this spot with 5 star reviews. Gave Stacie a call and left a message, thought i would have to go to one of those massage chain stores since she was completely booked online. She gave me a call back and took the time to hear my symptoms and worked me in for a last minute appointment. (mind you she had evening plans but still took the time to see me) The place is small but very harmonious and Stacie made me feel very welcomed. 30 minutes she focused on my shoulder and neck working out all the kinks using her magical healer abilities (i think she was a Chansey in a previous life, WHAT YOUR NOT PLAYING POKEMON GO?). I felt great right after and the next day my neck is still a little sore but no more stabbing pain! FYI: Where she is located a ton of Pokestops and a TON of Pokemon.
