I started receiving treatments from Viktoriya about 6 years ago for a herniated disc injury from…read moremany years earlier. Currently the 22 year old injury is the least pain free it's ever been and I rarely require attention in that area. The list of therapy that I've received includes: cupping, heat therapy for hand joints, knee surgery post therapy, treating nerve damage, shoulder pain, elbow pain, and knee pain. Since Visions advertises a range of services, I assumed this wouldn't be an issue. Unfortunately, I was told that because there was no manager on site and the person who does pedicures wasn't there, she couldn't sell me a gift certificate. She was polite and apologized, but that was it--no gift certificate, no card, no menu, no information on who to contact or how to follow up. I simply walked out empty-handed. Totally turned away. Looking back, I should have known better. Last year, I received a Visions gift certificate. When I tried to make an appointment (I live nearby), I was told they couldn't schedule me and that I needed to call the number on the card. I called twice and left my number both times--no one ever called me back. That was enough for me. My mom had a similar experience. She booked a massage, showed up, and the masseuse was a no-show. She rescheduled, only for the masseuse to reschedule on her--twice. Eventually, the times offered no longer worked, and she gave up and never went back. Overall, this place is just a hassle--from purchasing gift certificates to booking and keeping appointments. There's a clear lack of organization and follow-through. Save yourself the frustration and don't bother.

I saw the 5 star reviews and decided to roll with the rest. I'm so relieved that this salon worked out for me. If you've read my recent review about another salon I went to in Dublin you'll see why Avani salon was a breath of fresh air for me. I made an appointment on a friday and so excited they could fit me into their busy schedule. I was told over the phone that Debbie would be the one cutting my hair. I came in took a seat and I was asked by one of the stylist if I wanted some hot tea. From the start I'd say what a way to make you feel welcome. I didn't take her up on the tea, but was glad she offered. I told Debbie what I wanted and she did exactly what I asked for! Wow! It's was a miracle! Nothing lost in translation and I think I was done in less than 40 minutes. I asked for a straight cut about 3 inches and a shampoo, that's it. Overall this place is great and I'm so glad I hit the jackpot and I can't wait to come back. Debbie was quick, efficient and friendly. Since I was new to the area she gave me some tips on places to try out and I had a great time getting to know her.
