I started receiving treatments from Viktoriya about 6 years ago for a herniated disc injury from many years earlier. The pain was greatly reduced after the first visit and over time the treatments I received on my low back kept me able to continue my lifestyle. Currently the 22 year old injury is the least pain free it's ever been and I rarely require attention in that area. Over the years Viktoriya worked with me on various other issues and taught me more about how Chinese medicine could be used in healing. I have been seeing Viktoriya for about 2 1/2 months for a shoulder I injured when I was boogie boarding. I had been unable to sleep on my left side for several months and had pretty significant range of motion issues. I was also noticing that I was loosing strength on that side. I am left handed and this was becoming problematic. A friend recommended Viktoriya's practice. I started with about 4 sessions of therapeutic massage. With the first treatment, I noticed about 70% decrease in pain, especially at night. The shoulder continued to improve with each massage. Then I went for acupuncture and the difference is truly amazing. I am a nurse, so I have worked with western medicine for over 20 years. However, I am always open for other modalities of treatment, especially in trying to avoid surgery. I had never had acupuncture before but had heard really great things and I am so thankful that I went. I have almost zero pain, and able to fully move my shoulder without discomfort and most of all, can sleep on my left side.
