I was in the market for a used car for my son. Saw a low mileage civic on sale here, contacted the salesperson, came in and negotiated a good price. I didn't see any problems with the car and it drove nicely. This was my 1st time buying a used car. When I got the car home, I saw a rusted spot on the inner driver's side door frame. So rusted you could poke your finger through it. The passenger side had some rust forming in the same spot but nowhere near as bad as the other side. With the door closed, it was easy for me to miss especially in their dark garage. Lesson learned for the next time I'm in the market for a used car. I figured I was out of luck as I signed "as is" paperwork. I was bummed. I started calling body shops to repair it. But a couple friends suggested calling pacific Honda back and tell them of the situation. So I did and spoke to a manager. After seeing the pictures I sent them, they said they would repair it. I was pretty shocked! Next thing an appointment was made to bring the car in. As the car would be going to a body shop that they work with for an indefinite amount of time, they also gave me a loaner car for the duration of the repair! After the body shop took a look at the doors, they recommended replacing the driver side door completely and patch repairing the passenger side. Pacific Honda agreed to the recommendations they made. After about 3 weeks, my son has his car with all the repairs complete. To say that I'm impressed with Pacific Honda would be an understatement. They really stepped up and took care of the car even though it was a used car. I am very appreciative of the service I received. I would definitely recommend them! read more

Though I've had one in the very past this visit here actually has me with junk mail that I've gotten for over a year and though looking at it it didn't sound like it as it was notifying me of the recall on a 2012 Odyssey which I've never own and it kept reminding me that it needed to be done or whatever it was more annoying as it kept on coming. Not sure what it was about so I stopped over to ask and there was a couple of staff there and instantly said it was something that I had to call myself to have them to stop sending me...insane! Honestly I said as I approached them with my issue that I understand it's not what they did but was frustrated that they could do nothing for me and though I never inquired about looking into a Honda but just a random spam mail but left even frustrated and ALL my mail there as well and you know what it shopped coming. This review is based off the communication via email.    I inquired about a car that was "in transit".  A salesperson emailed me saying they had 3 in stock and if I was interested in securing first dibs when it arrives, I can put a fully refundable deposit down.  I emailed him and got no response.  The next day, the manager, Bob Belas, sent a follow up email asking if anyone got in touch with me and if I have any questions, I can email him back.  Someone did email me, I emailed him back and got no response.  I emailed him back asking how much the deposit was.  I got an email back saying it was $1000.  I wanted to make sure the deposit was fully refundable so I emailed Bob back just to clarify.  Per Bob's email  - Yes, we are not Honda Windward...they have the "non refundable" deposit policy.  I WAS SHOCKED with his email response.  You can hear the attitude and sarcasm from his response.  If you are a manager, your response should be well mannered.    Also, thank you for telling me Honda Windward's policy...because now I rather do business with TONY HONDA. read more

Aloha, I ended up having a few interactions with other sales people at Pacific Honda. 2/3 times I felt like they were in a rush for the sale or too aggressive. A good friend told me to ask for Yosuke the next time I go. The 5* is for Yosuke, excellent communication down to the minute that he would be available to meet. He asked me what I wanted, not trying to push something I didnt need or want. He made sure I was extremely satisfied. Debating if completing this review is worth my time! Bottom line it seems trying to leave message via email or voice message with all service advisors is unimportant to these advisors. On multiple occasions and multiple advisors (2021 to current) requesting information regarding services available with no reply back or return calls. Service in the beginning was great but it seems service level has dropped a lot! Buying a new car will not be a Honda, sorry to say! I haven't been to a car dealership in a long time. We were looking for a newer used car. I was glad the person who came up to us was very nice and knowledgeable. We got to see and sit in a bunch of cars. Some cleaner than others, some still had sand in it. We were very interested in one, drove the car and made the offer. That is when the day turned simply irritating! The price was shown. He did lots of annoying personal small talk. Just stay on topic!! The car!! We made our counter. The sales person would stand up and leave to whoever he would talk to. It took a while. He would return and there on the paper was a hand written note of why they can't close the deal. That is when the sales man tried to up sell to get us to get a new car. We don't have that kind of money. And yes, I know about suggestive selling. I've worked in retail for way too long. We countered again. Lots of small talk from the guy. All I can think is we are running outta time! We got things to do! We got kids!! The guy takes another long time and comes back with another hand written silly note. I'm like, what is this? A game show?!! Can't the person just come out and talk to us?!! This is wasting our time and getting us more irritated. We said it's our final. The guy left again. Took way too long to return. We were on our way out. The guy came back and we were done. I scheduled for my wife to bring in our Honda Pilot for routine servicing (B1 maintenance minder). She waited over three hours. That is not what I'm here to complain about. She received the top to bottom inspection and the service tech and manager cited in the report that the brake fluid was "dirty/black" in one report and "dirty/contaminated/needed to be replaced" in the invoice. When my wife told me about that I immediately became suspicious because we had just had a complete brake line drain 2 years prior. I know that brake fluid can degrade in 2-3 years but I decided I would go check it for myself. Wouldn't you know.....the brake fluid was almost completely clear...not even the slightest hint of brown, much less black. Yet, they "failed" us for it and put my wife in a position to have to decide to have it replaced or not. I will also get the fluid tested at another location using a moisture indicator to make sure it is good to go. Luckily I had already told her to decline any additional services other than the oil change and tire rotation. In addition, they claimed that the transmission fluid was "discolored and burned" looking. Not at all. The fluid was looking like new! I had just had a full service transmission fluid change only 17k miles prior. Really disappointed in this SCAM! See photos and service report. Went to Pacific Honda to possibly buy a 2018 Acura RDX that was advertised as an Acurawatch Plus feature included in the car. We were told that we could not test drive the car due to Covid restrictions until we agreed on the price. As Brian the salesperson stated it is a state law. After negotiating on an agreed price. We test drove it and it drove great. With that said when I was looking for the Acurawatch Plus features, they were not in the car!! Upon my return I let Brian know. I asked him again why I wasn't able to drive before we negotiated and he again said it was State Covid laws. I don't blame Brian for the false advertisement because he is not the one posting the cars online. I asked other dealers and friends who work at other dealerships and they said they never heard that before during Covid restrictions I should have known better to drive the car, especially used, before I negotiated. What normally happens during Covid is the dealership makes a copy of your drivers license and your auto insurance card. This did not happen. If this is a Pacific Honda dealership rule shame on you! Brian stated that the VIN indicated that the Acurawatch Plus was in the car so it wasn't their fault. This was a boldface lie! The main reason why I am posting this is I don't want anyone else to go through what I went through especially after an hour and a half of wasted time! Decided it was time to trade in our car for something newer and I found a pre-owned non-Honda vehicle on Pacific Honda's website. Per KBB, the price was at the low end of the suggested price range and looked very clean from the numerous photos. This dealership had an A+ rating with BBB and overall good online reviews, so we checked it out. No "salesman sharks" circling the entrance as we pulled in, which was refreshing. The receptionist actually had to page someone to help us and there were no other customers in the lobby. Bill Tang was our salesman and he was very courteous and professional throughout. Never pushy or condescending. In all honesty, we let him off easy by not haggling on the price. In my opinion, the car's advertised price was already very fair and we found it as impressive in-person as in the photos. As for our trade-in, I knew what the trade-in value was from KBB beforehand and that's what we got after a quick offer/counteroffer. I like the fact that Bill didn't play the "let me check with my manager" game. Nothing is more insulting than that BS. The Finance department experience was probably the longest part of our visit as expected. The rate offered was in-line with what I had found online for various lenders, so I had no problem letting Pacific Honda get that kickback. We received the payment book from the lender in about 30 days and a new vehicle registration from the DMV within 60 days. The car was due for a safety check about a month after getting the new registration, so I decided to complete our dealership experience by letting Pacific Honda perform the safety check as well as an oil change and tire rotation. I called ahead for pricing, and since they were about the same as my preferred auto shop, I made an appointment online. I was on-time for my appointment, and pulled up to the designated spot. Upon shutting off the car, an employee came up to me and sounded off, "Keys in it? Wait inside." I expected a "hello" or "good morning" but not today. I headed inside and took a seat in front of what I guessed were the service writer desks. Again, no greeting or instructions on how this arrangement works. After about 10 minutes, my name was called and I approached the desk and confirmed the services needed. The service writer was professional throughout, but in my opinion he was more locked onto his PC than making a connection with me the customer. I received a call within a few hours stating my car was ready for pickup. There were no calls before then trying to upsell me their "part of the week" like so many dealerships do, so I appreciate that. The cashier was courteous and there were no surprise charges. In closing, we've had no issues with our purchase and I would recommend Pacific Honda for sales and service. read more

I GOT RIPPED OFF BY PACIFIC HONDA AKA JP AUTOMOBILE. Terrible service department. 1. Day after i purchased my new car i returned and pointed out damages i see. not there. 2. Couple days later returned back spoke to my salesman and showed him proof of damages on my new car. 3. Another week later i returned back to see the service rep at the service department. They neglected to do anything about it. They took pictures of the 4 different items. Service writer rewrote the service order to removed the 4 reasons i was there for to fix the 4 items. Told me to come back again and wait for call back by the service manager. NO CALL BACK. 4. Returned another couple days later spoke to my salesman to inform him of my displeasure. told me to make another appointment to have service department to fix it. 5. Another month later returned back for my appointment to repair 4 different damage / faulty items. they neglected to to fix anything. Service writer rewrote the service order removing all 4 items i was there for, the 4 reasons i came for. they took pictures the same 4 damages / faulty parts on my new car again. For their purpose to get out of it. And to refused to fix them. told me to take it up with sales department and was told to wait for the service manager to decide and call me back. NO CALL BACK. 6. Another couple of days later returned back to see my salesmen. he was not there. 7. Returned another week later. salesman not there. 8. Returned another month later. my salesman not there. 9. Another month later NO CALL BACK. NO APPOINTMENTS. 10. 4 months later i called back 5 times. service manager not there to speak to. 11. 5 months later called back twice. service manager not there to speak to. 12. 6 months went back to service department for a not starting up problem and the 4 previous damages still un-resolve. The service writer re-wrote the service order to reflect what he wants to do, rather than what i want service department neglected to fix. Every time i go to have my car fix, the writer ALTERS the job repairs orders to the mechanic to do something else i did not request to do or fix. SO THEREFORE THEIR RECORDS SHOW I DID NOT COME IN TO FIX THOSE ITEMS OF INTEREST AND THAT YOU CAUSE THE DAMAGES 6 MONTHS LATER. 13. SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS FULL OF DECEIT AND MISINFORMATION. GAVE ME MISLEADING INFORMATION. GAVE ME EXCUSES. AND ALTERS FACT OF REPAIR AND FUNCTION AND MANUFACTURING QUALITY AND PROCESSES. 14. Beginning 7th months, nothing fixed, nothing resolved. Dealership ouls me over $10,000 in damage estimates they refuse to take responsibility of. 15. Dealership neglected to take responsibility and ratify my complaint in a timely manner. 16. Dealership tried to sell me fraudulent extended reapir insurance inwhich they probably wouldn't honor or pretend not to be damage. 17. Dealership left me to repair the scratch door frame, the 4 scratch rims, the scraped inside door panel, and the numerous areas of holes in the carpet. 18. For the 8th time i had to return back to the dealership for the damages items to be repaired and not one of them was on the work order. All the items were deleted and replace with fictious repair items and a instruction to charge for any repairs to my vehicle still in warranty. 19. After making appoitments after appoitments showing up for nothing being told to come back another day, sent going round and round in circles putting up with their excuses i arrived at my tenth appointment in which they hired a moblie touch up paint company inwhich blotch paint job on my rims lookinh like blotches of haze ruff and lumpy dull black paint without wet sanding and without clear coat and without baked in enamal , and got black paint all over my break pads and breake rotors. And inaddition they never did anything about nor took responsobility for the scrap driver door panel and holes in the carpet. They screwed me over and made false statements to the BBB to cover up their actions and misactions and conduct towards customers. read more

I'm in the process of selling my Ridgeline and I've been giving all the interested buyers my VIN number. If it wasn't for the buyers, I wouldn't have caught the mistake that Ron Cassidy made. He input the wrong mileage for my ridgeline (40,000 more miles than what is on my odometer) and now my buyers are questioning me for the information that's on Carfax. Everyone makes mistakes, no problem. But the way Ron handled the situation was very unprofessional. He did not admit to making a mistake, he belittled the situation and laughed it off. He thought it was funny that my mileage was incorrect and told me to tell the buyers to call Honda and ask for him to confirm that my mileage is true. He then continued to cut me off and tried to shy away from his little mistake he made. He hung up the phone because I told him straight up that he fucked up on my paperwork and he didn't like it. My daughter had saved her money to purchase her first "new" to her car. We went to Servco Toyota Honolulu, which we were sure would be our first and only stop. We went into the New Car section and was immediately met by Derek who was warm and inviting but let us know we were in the wrong area so he kindly walked us over to the Used Car area. He handed us off to a 'salesperson' (in quotes because he clearly did not care about selling us anything) named Bao. From the very beginning he was rude and made us feel like we were wasting his time. My daughter had chosen the car she wanted and said she was going to go get the car she was going to use as a trade in. Bao told her to not waste his time if she was not serious. Really Bao?! We both walked away and said let's go get the car but ask for another salesperson. While driving to our house to get the car, we decided to just call Pacific Honda in Honolulu since that was the car that she had chosen. The guy who answered, Randy, was amazingly enthusiastic and helpful. We decided to go to Honda. We met Randy at Pacific Honda and he made my daughters first car purchase a fun and exciting experience. In fact, they gave us an unbelievable deal on a brand new car. The car at Servco was 5 years old and $1,000 more than what we ended up paying at Honda. My advice is if you do end up going to Servco and you meet a 'salesperson' named Bao, walk away and ask for someone else--even better go to another dealership who will make the process of buying a new car a fun, special, and memorable event. Took it into the service department to get diagnostic tests done and address the problems, if any. Luckily it was a super small error that could be fixed easily, so rather than charge me the $170 for the tests, they just fixed it and waived the fees. It took over 8 weeks to get our registration because the dealership is inept. Had to go in once in person because they did the paperwork incorrectly. Then called at 8 weeks and they still had not even taken it to the DMV. It is the LAW that they have to do it within 30 days. Total failure. read more

I think Pacific Honda is the worst, & most dishonest, and unprofessional car dealership i have ever seen. And I have seen some bad ones. Im 55. They charged me over $500 to install a cloth protective liner. Honestly, the cost should have been around $150, max, including installing. They ripped me off. Stay away. read more

These guys will take advantage of you if you demonstrate that you don't know your vehicle or you don't keep up with its maintenance. I sold my FIT largely to avoid going to this place anymore. Many, but not all, of the employees act entitled, lazy and just disinterested. Be prepared for long wait times and being overcharged for everything. What pushed me over the line is the fee they charge when you pay with a credit card. This place is making cash hand over fist and they have the nerve to tack on a fee for using a credit card. I will never own a Honda again thanks to my experiences at Pacific Honda. read more
