The pupu platter was also a standout dish - the coconut shrimp and the musubi was really tasty - I liked it better than the Korean plate actually and also the portions were good for 2 people. Honestly used to love pacific catch and would always go for happy hours but I feel like they've gone downhill significantly recently. Portions and also their customer service aspect. As a loyalty member I love to accumulate points and use them on my visits. However, this time around our server couldn't figure out any way to redeem the points for the dish . (Which is the whole point of the rewards program) Our service wasn't the best and we felt like she was short and impatient with us. I have never heard of PC until our teacher told us that it was one of her favorite restaurants. My friend and I decided to check out the PC in Mt View for lunch yesterday. We arrived around 11:30. I had to park a little ways away since all the spots in front were taken. It was a cloudy cold day so we decided to dine inside. We were the only customers inside. There were a few tables outside. I ordered the Asian chimichurri salad (sea bass, roasted cauliflower, avocado, cucumber, tomato, edamame, daikon sprouts, Asian herb chimichurri, and miso dressing. I haven't been to a Pacific Catch in at least a decade and I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice the experience was here. When we first walked in, I first noticed the nice, spacious, and homey design. We got there right before the lunch crowd started so were seated right away. I decided to get a plate of the sea bass with the chimichurri sauce with the two sides being papas bravas and broccolini. My meal was delicious - the fish tasted very fresh and paired well with the rest of the items on the plate. It was very easy to eat the entire thing and I left feeling full, but not stuffed. The staff was friendly and quick so overall, nothing to complain about and definitely a place I would recommend for an easy lunch. read more

Do not get the TACO PLATTER! Especially the steak tacos. I'll give Pacific Catch the benefit of the doubt that I just so happened to be the unlucky customer to get the worlds smallest portion of a steak taco. The amount of meat that was served was so shocking that I had to embarrassingly mention it to my server, to which she stated, "that is the normal portion and they weigh the portions". The photo does not do it justice but believe me when I say if you got this same taco you would dig around all the shredded carrots and cabbage looking for the rest of the steak like I did. It was probably my fault for going to a restaurant, which the name implies it specializes in seafood, and I order tacos. But still, this establishments price point does not match the quality (or quantity in this case) of the food. Again, do not order the taco platter with steak. I have ordered the Korean BBQ steak bowl and while that is way better, it is still way overpriced. There are plenty of other seafood places to get a $30 plate per meal than this place but if money and portion size is not a deal breaker for you, then by all means to each their own. The sweet potato fries were pretty spot on and the fish was nice and flakey on the outside. I think the only piece of criticism I had was that I wish I was able to request a sauce for go along with it since on DD they didn't allow for any notes to be made. Although the meal itself was good for the price and amount I got, it did get dry at times because of this haha. I had a hard time choosing between so many delicious looking menu items (so little time, so much delicious food). Everything served to our table was fresh, perfectly cooked, and well flavored. Also really healthy! The specialty cocktails were also really well-made: delicious, and innovative without veering into "what-the-hell-is-in-my-glass!!??" territory. My mandarin margarita was unique but simple, delicious, and left room to taste the higher end tequila in the drink. They also have menu options for different diets. I ordered a blood orange margarita and requested sugar on the rim instead of salt. I got funny looks from my friends, but it was great! I've been here with a friend before and came here again for my friend's birthday. Last time I got the chirashi bowl with 3 different types of poke and sushi rice. I decided I wanted something smaller and I order a regular Japanese wasabi bowl with half sushi rice and half salad. It was still a very generous portion! I won't complain about that. Their poke bowls are fresh and they have a lot on the menu. They even have ramen too. Also if you're not into Asian inspired cuisine, they also have fried fish, other bowls. Everything we ordered looked great. I would come here again. Not too crowded for outdoor seating on a Wednesday noon. My table of 4 shared the coconut shrimp shareable, guaca-poke shareable, and side of kimchi fried rice. The coconut shrimp was yummy even though I typically don't like coconut! It was so crispy and I loved the sweet chili sauce. The guaca-poke was decent, I've definitely had better poke but it was a good ratio of ahi tuna to avocado. Kimchi fried rice was a bit plain and didn't really have any visible kimchi. I ordered the 2 taco platter (traditional baja and Cabo shrimp) as my entree and chose fries as my side. Usually I'm more used to grilled shrimp in tacos, so having this crispy shrimp was unique! They fried 4 shrimp together to make one long piece in the taco. Kinda hard to eat due to the size but I broke it up into pieces. The traditional baja taco was good, some pieces of the fish were a bit chewy/hard but loved the sauces on both. The taco platters also come with a side of black beans. I came for a work happy hour. We got the pupu platter and Serrano ahi poke to share. It was delicious and so worth it for happy hour prices. The poke was fresh and the coconut shrimp was crispy and not super greasy. The poke had a slight kick to it. For dinner I got the west coast style salmon. i brought my friend here for a belated birthday dinner and apparently we came early enough to catch the happy hour specials! this menu had quite a few items less than $10, a rarity at a silicon valley restaurant for dinner in this day and age! i had reserved a table on opentable and requested an outdoor table, and that was exactly what we got, with a heat lamp since it was going to be a chilly evening. my friend ordered a guava rita ($10) and it was a really pretty drink that included cazadores blanco tequila, guava purée, lime juice, agave nectar and a half salt rim. she said it was refreshingly delicious! we ordered the original ahi poke as a starter ($10) and boy was this a generous serving! the plate had crispy tortilla chips surrounding a mound of yellowfin ahi tuna, marinated in sesame-soy, sweet onion and red chili flakes. i really enjoyed this and while i never had poke with tortilla chips, they seemed to blend nicely together! my friend ordered the taco platter ($21) and went with 3 guajillo shrimp tacos: grilled, citrus-guajillo sauce, avocado, grilled pineapple, cabbage, cilantro, tomatillo salsa, lime crema. they were served in the fancy taco holder with a side of salad and black beans. she devoured these pretty quickly so i assume these were great! i ordered the striped sea bass fresh catch of the day ($33) which featured a grilled sea bass with asian herb chimichurri sauce, and a side of thai brussels sprouts and a small house salad. this was a lot of food, and i honestly thought i wouldn't be able to finish, but i took my time (and breaks) and slowly devoured the fish and veggies. i'm not sure if i've had asian chimichurri sauce before, but it was a very nice blend of herbs and paired well with the sea bass. the brussels were amazing, perfectly crisp with lots of seasoning....i need the recipe for this! service was very good and prompt. we had to ask for water refill once (one large bottle for our table) but otherwise the food and bill arrived in a very timely manner. as for parking, i was able to get a space 1/2 block up from the restaurant, but my friend had to park in the shopping center garage, 1-2 blocks away. surface parking is definitely a bit scarce, but from what i could see, there was plenty of garage parking. great location at the shops at san antonio village, convenient to 101 & san antonio rd. read more

My son was not feeling like seafood, so opted to have the Wagyu burger and fries. He also had the virgin Nina Coloda mocktail, which he especially enjoyed. My husband and I split the mixed catch meal, and a bowl of the salmon chowder. (My Gastric sleeve=tiny stomach) The meal was delicious, and my son decided he loved coconut shrimp after trying it for the first time. The standout was the salmon chowder. It was creamy, flavorful, and my salmon hating son also liked it. (I love to cook, so going to figure out how to make this!!). I also had the Manhattan West coast, as I wasn't driving. The prices were reasonable, with a variety of options to suit different budgets, appetites, and dietary needs. The food was seasoned, and appetizing. The restaurant was as accessible disability-wise, and I was able to be seated with my walker at a table outside, next to the fire pit. The service was lovely, and our server was attentive and pleasant. Our meals arrived very quickly- we were surprised and grateful for that! As far as chain restaurants go, I feel this one is a great option. It's family friendly, and has satisfying food with decent portions. She loved the fish taco but wasn't a fan of the spicy beef. She said it wasn't spicy but more of a sweet teriyaki flavor. The Cabo calamari was soooo good! Now waiter apologized and said he would bring it but location was so short staffed that he got pulled into something else and we had to do it ourselves to eat. Talking about eating, we had asked for a small change in the fish used and waiter noted it but food was not changed. I really enjoy sitting in the patio. There always seems to be room and they always put the heat on if it's cold; the servers in the patio are very nice and they always check on me. As far as the food, I'm like,a cow a creature of habit. I always go for the wasabi ahi tuna bowl. It seems to be one of the best deals on the menu for me at least. It has lots of greens, avocado, and the ahi tuna is always fresh. I like the ambience in the patio in the afternoon; most of the time I'm about the only one there. The patio makes me feel like I'm on vacation. Also as for the happy hour, a good deal is the yellowtail ceviche. One of my favorites. I have zero complaints. read more

I'm giving it two stars because I think I just had a bad experience. I came in because I looked on the menu online and saw you could get a substitute salmon on the ahi poke bowl. I thought it sounded good so I went ahead and ordered it inside the restaurant. When it came out, to my surprise, it was grilled salmon. I am not complaining that it's grilled but I think it should be stated on the menu since typical poke uses raw fish. Since it wasn't what I thought it was, I asked if I could change it and we did the original tuna poke. They brought my plate back out pretty quickly and I can't say I was impressed. Much of my tuna was inconsistent texture, quality, and size which was not appetizing to eat. When I looked over at other guest's plates the tuna was much better quality and consistency which made me think my substitution was an afterthought for them. Also the combination of onion and wasabi gave it a gasoline taste. Lastly I thought the glazed rib appetizer had a hard chewy texture, and was too salty. I don't like to complain much, but objectively speaking I paid around 40 dollars for this and they can do better. read more
