Ordered Pacific Catch on DoorDash looking for a small dinner! I ended ordering the kids Fish & Chips, which came with two pieces of fish, sweet potato fries, and broccoli, an orange, and lemon. The sweet potato fries were pretty spot on and the fish was nice and flakey on the outside. I think the only piece of criticism I had was that I wish I was able to request a sauce for go along with it since on DD they didn't allow for any notes to be made. Although the meal itself was good for the price and amount I got, it did get dry at times because of this haha. Definitely hope to visit Pacific Catch another time though to try more of their menu items! read more

I ordered the guacapoke as an appetizer to share with a coworker. The poke and guacamole was so good and tasted fresh! Honestly, I could have just ordered that as my meal as it was a big serving and was tasty. I decided on the two taco platter and picked the original baja and cabo shrimp. You pretty much have to eat the tacos fast or the fish and shrimp lose their crunch and get soggy. The platter comes with black beans and fries. The fries come in different flavors - regular, sweet potato or spicy (not actually spicy, it's just cajun seasoning). Our server (who was also the bartender) was so friendly and gave us recommendations. He checked on us multiple times. The restaurant is in a cute shopping center so there's plenty of parking. 2nd time visiting pacific catch and I must say it never disappoints! I ordered the " regular " Japanese poke and it was delicious so fresh! The ahi poke had a great tangy kick to it! With fresh slices of ginger, topped with a fresh cucumber salad and seaweed salad! Customer service : 10/10 super friendly! Ambiance is great! Unfortunately service and food quality has gone down in this chain. Tried it across two different locations. In one, the sushi rolls was more just rice and had hardly any fish and even the manager acknowledged it after we pointed it out. At the second location, the hostess was more interested in watching a show on her phone on the Saturday weekend we were there. She forgot to put silverware on table. Now waiter apologized and said he would bring it but location was so short staffed that he got pulled into something else and we had to do it ourselves to eat. Talking about eating, we had asked for a small change in the fish used and waiter noted it but food was not changed. I really enjoy sitting in the patio. There always seems to be room and they always put the heat on if it's cold; the servers in the patio are very nice and they always check on me. As far as the food, I'm like,a cow a creature of habit. I always go for the wasabi ahi tuna bowl. It seems to be one of the best deals on the menu for me at least. It has lots of greens, avocado, and the ahi tuna is always fresh. I like the ambience in the patio in the afternoon; most of the time I'm about the only one there. The patio makes me feel like I'm on vacation. Also as for the happy hour, a good deal is the yellowtail ceviche. One of my favorites. I have zero complaints. read more

i brought my friend here for a belated birthday dinner and apparently we came early enough to catch the happy hour specials! this menu had quite a few items less than $10, a rarity at a silicon valley restaurant for dinner in this day and age! i had reserved a table on opentable and requested an outdoor table, and that was exactly what we got, with a heat lamp since it was going to be a chilly evening. my friend ordered a guava rita ($10) and it was a really pretty drink that included cazadores blanco tequila, guava purée, lime juice, agave nectar and a half salt rim. she said it was refreshingly delicious! we ordered the original ahi poke as a starter ($10) and boy was this a generous serving! the plate had crispy tortilla chips surrounding a mound of yellowfin ahi tuna, marinated in sesame-soy, sweet onion and red chili flakes. i really enjoyed this and while i never had poke with tortilla chips, they seemed to blend nicely together! my friend ordered the taco platter ($21) and went with 3 guajillo shrimp tacos: grilled, citrus-guajillo sauce, avocado, grilled pineapple, cabbage, cilantro, tomatillo salsa, lime crema. they were served in the fancy taco holder with a side of salad and black beans. she devoured these pretty quickly so i assume these were great! i ordered the striped sea bass fresh catch of the day ($33) which featured a grilled sea bass with asian herb chimichurri sauce, and a side of thai brussels sprouts and a small house salad. this was a lot of food, and i honestly thought i wouldn't be able to finish, but i took my time (and breaks) and slowly devoured the fish and veggies. i'm not sure if i've had asian chimichurri sauce before, but it was a very nice blend of herbs and paired well with the sea bass. the brussels were amazing, perfectly crisp with lots of seasoning....i need the recipe for this! service was very good and prompt. we had to ask for water refill once (one large bottle for our table) but otherwise the food and bill arrived in a very timely manner. as for parking, i was able to get a space 1/2 block up from the restaurant, but my friend had to park in the shopping center garage, 1-2 blocks away. surface parking is definitely a bit scarce, but from what i could see, there was plenty of garage parking. great location at the shops at san antonio village, convenient to 101 & san antonio rd. read more

My family and I decided to take an impromptu road trip from Oakland to Monterey, but needed to eat somewhere on the way. We also needed somewhere we could easily pull off of the freeway and get to. My son was not feeling like seafood, so opted to have the Wagyu burger and fries. He also had the virgin Nina Coloda mocktail, which he especially enjoyed. My husband and I split the mixed catch meal, and a bowl of the salmon chowder. (My Gastric sleeve=tiny stomach) The meal was delicious, and my son decided he loved coconut shrimp after trying it for the first time. The standout was the salmon chowder. It was creamy, flavorful, and my salmon hating son also liked it. (I love to cook, so going to figure out how to make this!!). I also had the Manhattan West coast, as I wasn't driving. The prices were reasonable, with a variety of options to suit different budgets, appetites, and dietary needs. The food was seasoned, and appetizing. The restaurant was as accessible disability-wise, and I was able to be seated with my walker at a table outside, next to the fire pit. The service was lovely, and our server was attentive and pleasant. Our meals arrived very quickly- we were surprised and grateful for that! As far as chain restaurants go, I feel this one is a great option. It's family friendly, and has satisfying food with decent portions. It's a nice casual restaurant atmosphere- not too fancy but not low budget, either. I have a pickier pallet and just like white rice, salmon and a side. I can now get that finally! The salmon was insanely good-- I ordered it with the miso sauce (you can pick between a few styles of how you want to seasoned). My friend ordered the two taco plate. She loved the fish taco but wasn't a fan of the spicy beef. She said it wasn't spicy but more of a sweet teriyaki flavor. The Cabo calamari was soooo good! My friend and I like pretty spicy food and we'd say this is a 2 out of a 5 spiciness level. We also had the dulche de leche stuffed spring rolls for dessert. I was able to enjoy dinner with my cousin @JediJoey10 at @PacificCatch in Mountain View, CA. We made it to the Happy Hour for drinks and appitizers. We started off with Lemon grass Mojitos, Tiki "Old-fashioned",Hal Tai Glass, Classic Yellowtail Ceviche, Serano Ahi Poke and Cabo Calamari. The food was so good and appetizing. I love how they serve the Serrano Ahi poke with wonton chips, perfect paring. The poke hit you with a kick of spiciness. The PuPu Platter cane with a variety of thing to enjoy, my favorite being the grilled Seraono peppers. The Mixed Grill for 2 came with mashed potatoes with crab, and the broccolini. Mike and Victor were awesome! The food came super quick. I tried the lobster roll for the first time and it was SO good it melted in your mouth. Not too crowded for outdoor seating on a Wednesday noon. My table of 4 shared the coconut shrimp shareable, guaca-poke shareable, and side of kimchi fried rice. The coconut shrimp was yummy even though I typically don't like coconut! It was so crispy and I loved the sweet chili sauce. The guaca-poke was decent, I've definitely had better poke but it was a good ratio of ahi tuna to avocado. Kimchi fried rice was a bit plain and didn't really have any visible kimchi. I ordered the 2 taco platter (traditional baja and Cabo shrimp) as my entree and chose fries as my side. Usually I'm more used to grilled shrimp in tacos, so having this crispy shrimp was unique! They fried 4 shrimp together to make one long piece in the taco. Kinda hard to eat due to the size but I broke it up into pieces. The traditional baja taco was good, some pieces of the fish were a bit chewy/hard but loved the sauces on both. The taco platters also come with a side of black beans. It's another great night at the bar at Pacific catch in Mountain View. My friend Lee has shown up and once again we find ourselves in the skillful, full-attention hands of Tre. He is the reason that I sit at the bar on every visit here. Of course, I wouldn't think of arriving less than 30 minutes before happy hour is over at 6 pm. On a good night, it's best to arrive by 5 PM to enjoy so many excellent happy hour items . Pacific Catch offers one of the best happy hours that I know of on the SF peninsula, whether it's here, or at the Stanford shopping center, or in San Mateo . That said, it is actually Tre who keeps me coming back to the Mountain View PC. I feel welcomed like an old friend, cared for like a member of the family, and fed like a queen. I'm giving it two stars because I think I just had a bad experience. I came in because I looked on the menu online and saw you could get a substitute salmon on the ahi poke bowl. I thought it sounded good so I went ahead and ordered it inside the restaurant. When it came out, to my surprise, it was grilled salmon. I am not complaining that it's grilled but I think it should be stated on the menu since typical poke uses raw fish. Since it wasn't what I thought it was, I asked if I could change it and we did the original tuna poke. They brought my plate back out pretty quickly and I can't say I was impressed. Much of my tuna was inconsistent texture, quality, and size which was not appetizing to eat. When I looked over at other guest's plates the tuna was much better quality and consistency which made me think my substitution was an afterthought for them. Also the combination of onion and wasabi gave it a gasoline taste. Lastly I thought the glazed rib appetizer had a hard chewy texture, and was too salty. I don't like to complain much, but objectively speaking I paid around 40 dollars for this and they can do better. read more

We came here last night and made a reservation for the bar. My brother was visiting from out of town and really wanted to catch the national championship football game so he tried calling all day to make sure our reservation was for a booth facing the tv. Unfortunately we got no answer, and when we got there, we were stuck with a high top. Overall service wasn't the best. Food was solid though in my opinion, the price is steep for what you get. My 3 stars are almost entirely due to good service. The server not only knew the menu, but had ready recommendations, and was hospitable. The atmosphere was fine, pop'ish music and moderately elevated finishes. Definitely a chain feel. I had the clam chowder, it was fine, not a wow. Also ordered the Serrano Ahi Ceviche. When it showed up, it looked more like a poke with a very heavy mayo based sauce. That might've been ok, but the mayo appeared to be hiding 2+ day old fish. It hadn't turned yet, but it wasn't fresh either. The server absolutely did the right thing and removed it, and went the next important step and offered me something else. I went salad, and had a decent house / edamame salad. Overall, it was ok. Not likely to visit again. read more

Then, each of us ordered a different bowl - Double Rainbow Sushi bowl, Grilled Salmon bowl, regular size, and Latin Chimichurri Grilled Kampachi bowl, regular size. Server said the difference between regular and small sizes was the amount of base (salad/rice or quinoa). Next time, I'd probably go with the small. All were very good and fresh. The salmon was a somewhat small piece. I will return and hope for consistency. Note that the booth we were sitting in had some shredded fabric on the seat. Restaurant should attend to this. Full day of honey-do's for Barbro, Chloe and I last Saturday. On her last errand with our niece Chloe, she called and asked what I want for dinner. I actually have a condition where I don't get hungry, nor do I crave food. So when asked, "what do you want", i come up blank every time. Usually I answer with "something fresh and healthy". She and Chloe came home with Pacific Catch from Mountain View. Barbro and Chloe had the lobster roll with French frys. Not cheap at $19 per sando, but then again, it is fresh lobster so can't expect $4.99 either. What was interesting is that they charged $3 extra for French Frys. That seemed a bit of a sting. That being said, hard to complain during COVID when we can still order up a fresh lobster roll. Barbro and I had recently eaten at Old Port Lobster Shack in Ladera a few weeks ago (see my prior yelp review). Pacific Catch blows that lobster sando way. So I'm not going to worry about $3 during Covid French frys. Pacific Catch's lobster roll came on a fresh French roll, baked to perfection (crispy, toasted, yet soft and warm at the same time). On top of this roll was a bed of fresh lettuce. On to of this was the lobster salad complete with CHUNKS of lobster and lobster salad. Pacific Catch in Mountain View was not light on the portions ("which is nice"). As I said, I do not crave, nor do I get hungry. I'm kind of like the guy in the Twix commercial who, if I get low enough on energy, gets cranky like Betty White until he eats the candy bar and turns back into his own personality. So when she came home with Pacific Catch I was in good spirits. Fresh and Healthy works. I may not get hungry but I do enjoy to eat Ha Ha. Barbro brought me the pokey bowl and a lobster roll without french frys. As described above, the lobster roll was a picture perfect dish and the poke was too! The pokey was fresh, deep in color and had a nice spicy kick. We all shared this. Additionally, we shared the Guacamole and chips and the Cabo Calimari. All were super fresh, and tasty. I came here on a Sunday evening around 7 pm. There was plenty of seating available and I was seated in the heated patio which was super warm and toasty on a chilly November night. The person who seated us was great and the server came and brought us drinks and took our order pretty swiftly. After this though, service went downhill. We ordered an appetizer and assumed it would come before our meals. We waited and waited and the waiter never came by. We finally flagged him down and asked if the appetizer was coming and he said yes. It didn't come. Someone else finally brought our entrees out and after those came out we were given the appetizer. This wasn't the worst thing that could've happened but it just wasn't a positive experience especially with the dismissive communication from our server. We ate our food which was good and our water was constantly filled but the waiter never asked how the food was or if we needed anything.
