I got 3 tacos - 2 regular chicken and 1 steak&shrimp - for $12. The steak and shrimp taco was the most expensive one, and for good reason. It was the most delicious one I had so far. I've tried a steak taco on a separate occasion and enjoyed it. But the steak&shrimp one is overflowing with protein, veggies and chipotle mayo sauce. It does take some time to get your food as they made each order fresh and there was only 1 person cooking on a Saturday afternoon. And 1 person taking orders. But i'd definitely come back.
Been here a number of times and have tried their super burritos and their super tacos a few times each and their super tacos are really the thing to get here. I LOVE the melted cheese they have on the tacos and make these so delicious. The super burritos are really what is bringing the score down here. It's really been hit and miss and more on the miss than anything else. I still want to come and try their birra to see how it is but whenever I'm craving tacos, this is the spot. They have some seats out in front of the truck with some shading so that's definitely nice if you want to sit and eat. Lots of parking behind the truck as well and close to the Target if you need to do some shopping while you're out.
Was looking for a quick bite in the area and decided to give this place a try. First of all, they're grilling the meat right outside the truck and it smells so good, the aroma lingers throughout the parking lot. The truck is located in the same parking lot as at Target all the way off to the side. But they do have a tent, and benches for a nice seating area if need be. They do accept Apple Pay which is also nice. By 2pm on a Saturday, they were out of Al Pastor. So I got two carne asada and two carnita . They also do have their own version or orange sauce, but you have to ask for it, since it's not included in the Togo bags. Overall pretty good and would get again if I was in the area.
Nestled between a car repair shop and Target, lies this incredible taco food truck! It's rare to find smoked marlin fish tacos in the Bay Area but they have it and they do it well. In addition, we also ordered the carnitas, shrimp and fish tacos. The carnitas were crispy and tender, while the shrimps in the shrimp tacos were juicy and seasoned perfectly. Pro tip: Be sure to ask for cheese and they'll fry it up for you, not just sprinkle it on top like most trucks do. The fried cheese makes a huge difference and is definitely worth the extra cost! Add this to your hidden gem list to try if you're looking for amazing seafood tacos in unexpected places in the Bay Area.
One of my new fav taco spots!!! Everything was excellent and really tasty. DON'T SLEEP ON THE FISH TACOS, THEY'RE BOMB!!
I see that people have mixed reviews but my tacos were amazing! The lime and the extra jalapeños were perfect! The rice was very good and I loved the refried beans! Little tip I feel they do give more rice and beans when you have it to "eat here" instead of to go so ya just putting that out there lol! But ya definitely one of my go to places for tacos!
Asada taco - tortilla was dry and asada followed suit Al pastor taco - tortilla was dry but the meat was better than asada Asada burrito - this was pretty ok, it also has avocado and the flavors worked well. I came on a Tuesday at 5:45pm and it wasn't busy at all. The lady was really nice and the wait time for the food was normal (10-15 min). I wouldn't get the tacos again since the tortilla + meat combination was just too dry. But I would come again to eat the burrito. The green sauce had good flavor, the red sauce tastes like nothing, and the orange sauce is a bit too mayo-y and muted in flavor. I wish the orange sauce had more stronger flavors, I think that would've been really good. But none of the sauces were spicy (neither good nor bad, just an observation). Overall.... Eh, not the worst taco truck!
Mamacitas is sits in a Target parking lot and is near a bunch of shopping, so you can grab some food before running errands. The campechanos taco alone is good enough to stop by. Chorizo gives it extra flavor and texture while the suardero (the menu might say steak) provides beefy fattiness and is kind of crispy like carnitas. I also got a fish taco - it was pretty mild in flavor and was easily overshadowed by the campechanos. I recommend getting something other than the fish taco. The orange sauce feels like it is maybe based but I'm not sure. I preferred using the red salsa. Next I want to try their carnitas, asada, and adding the griddled cheese.
So we have driven by this taco truck more times than I can count. Our son on his ever present quest to find the best Mexican Food asked to stop and give this place a shot. While it is a truck, it never seems to go anywhere and can always be found in this location. While they have benches and the like your best bet is to go IMHO. Taco Al Pastor: the quintessential street taco. flavorful bits of freshly shaved pork, coupled with onions and cilantro, its perfect bite. On this trip it came with a chipotle crema? that was money adding smokey rich heat to the taco. Chicken Taco: Mmmmmmm same as above with perfectly cooked chicken thigh and came with a green cilanto? based sauce which was as fantastic as the crema. Burrito: I did not taste but my sons burrito looked fantastic. Decent size for the price as well. This is quite the not so hidden gem.
Taco truck on the left of Target next to an auto shop in Mountain View. Really great tasting tacos! We ordered: Asada tacos - meat was good and not fatty Chorizo tacos- flavorful, these were our favorite Carnitas taco - nice and crispy and not overly dry Al Pastor tacos - these were okay Comes with orange or green salsa and lemons: Orange is a nice spicy creamy sauce Green is mildly spicy with a nice kick We would definitely come back to try more of their food!
Everything was decent. We got three tacos: shrimp, smoked fish, and regular fish. Of the three, I liked the regular fish taco the most. The shrimp only came with two shrimp so some bites were just filler ingredients. We also got a shrimp burrito. Also decent. However it is worth noting there was a small hair in it. Also bit down onto something hard, took it out, and it was the stem of the avocado.
Waited 25 minutes from the time I ordered till the food was ready but it was worth the wait. Nice outdoor seating.

I've seen this truck many times when I go to the Mountain View Target and decided to finally give it a try. Came here on a Saturday evening and it wasn't busy. The people here are friendly. What I ordered: Asada Super Burrito: The burrito was really soft typically means the tortilla wasn't cooked that long and either the salsa/sauce in it wasn't that good at all. Very disappointing for the first time I didn't finish the burrito at all. Taco Plate: It was ok. This isn't a place I'd go out my way for Mexican food. Just ok for me. read more

Pretty decent taco truck, but not as good as my normal place (Paper Platez), which was closed today. Service was a bit unfriendly. Typical taco truck ambiance. Tacos were decent, but no consommé to dip, and flavors were a little more muted than I like. read more

Driving around Mountain View and had to do a U-turn into a parking lot due to the enticing aroma coming from the colorfully decorated Mamacitas Taco truck. The carnitas and pollo asado tacos were perfect for an afternoon snack washed down with a strawberry Jarritos. read more

Attn.. Warning.. If ur of African American decent. Just skip this place altogether. The little pretty chef they got cooking w the highlights in her hair is Pure Raci5t. I have two incidents that happen a day apart. So yesterday I order a regular carne adada burrito. No beans. Add cheese. It was three ppl there and they all repeated my order to each other multiple times. When I get home. What do u know. Burrito w NO CHEESE and EXTRA Beans to the point where I was spitting them out. Fine. No problem. I'll try again today. But Aha. I'm gonna order something completely different. Fool me once shame on you.. This time I order two tacos w cheese. She fried my cheese Sooooooo hard I took it off the Tortilla and will now use it as a weapon of mass destruction. Here's a pic for proof. I warned all Black Ppl. U don't have to listen to me. But best of luck and may God b w u And to the chef. I bet u thought u wouldn't b reading about ur Raci5t lil self Now Did You?? read more

Truck located on the side of the Target. Seen this truck twice. First time I saw it and it looked really crowded on Friday evening while doing a Target run nearby. Second time around on a Thursday afternoon I finally tried the truck out for lunch. No menu in the front of the truck when I came, menu was given to us verbally .... but the food made up for it. Super Burrito (Carne Asada) Pretty good, above average! Definitely one of the better places I've had in Mountain View. I requested the burrito to be grilled/crispy and it really escalated the burrito. The meat I chose was chewier and tough at times. Maybe I will choose a different meat or tacos if I come back. Sauces Red, green, and orange sauce was offered to be at pick up. I tried the green (refreshing cilantro avocado sauce) and orange (smokey and creamy) and mmm they were so great! read more
4-4.5 stars overall but rounding up for the warm and friendly staff (mamacitas, indeed!!). I called in my order around 4:30pm on a Thursday, and it was ready in 10-15 minutes. They are located on the side of the Target in Mountain View, and are parked behind the liquor store, to the left of the Target if you're facing it. As some Yelpers have mentioned, their menu may not be available in front of the truck, but you can look at the photos of previous menus on Yelp. The day I went, there was only a blank whiteboard in front of the truck. Based on photos that have been posted, they have a large variety of different meats available (campechanos/steak&chorizo, carne asada, al pastor, pollo, chorizo, carnitas, buche/pork stomach, cueritos/pork belly, camaron, Pescado, suadero/beef brisket, tripas/beef tripe, lengua/beef tongue, cabeza/beef head, costilla/pork ribs, trompa/pork snout, oreja/pork ear). I'm not sure if all are available every day, but they were responsive when I called, so easy enough to call ahead and check. For my first visit, I went with my usuals: -Super Burrito (Carne Asada, Beans, Pico de Gallo, Cheese, Sour Cream, Guacamole, $10): I don't like beans in my burrito and always order without, but they were still included in my order so it was hard to directly compare with other burrito spots. However, I loved the sear they had on the tortilla! I'm not sure if they added a thin layer of cheese, or maybe it was just pork fat, but it added another layer of delicious flavor to the burrito. The carne asada was solid, and they didn't skimp on the guacamole. I would order this burrito again just for that tortilla, and keep my fingers crossed they don't put beans in the next time around. -Suadero & Al Pastor Tacos ($3/each): I fell in love with suadero in San Diego, and don't see it available often in the Bay Area. The version here is delicious, and made well! The suadero pieces were flavorful and tender, and cooked well. I also really liked their al pastor, especially since it came with small pieces of pineapple. It had a great char and was seasoned well. The only slight miss were the tortillas- they weren't as soft/tender as I've had from other taquerias/taco trucks, but I also ate these 30 minutes later and not fresh. It's rare to see a Mexican food truck run by two women, and it's so refreshing to see!! I'm wishing both ladies continued success. They were super nice over the phone, and also as they rang up my order. I look forward to coming back to try more of their meats as well as getting another burrito! Parking was easy to find since they have some spots available next to the truck. read more
I don't know what it was about this burrito, but as I was eating it, it didn't feel like I was eating a burrito. It was SO GOOD!!! I ordered a super burrito with asada and took a cup of orange sauce and green sauce with me to go. When i got back to work a few minutes later to eat, the burrito was still pretty hot to the touch when it was wrapped in foil. Every bite I took was delicious and the flavors blended together so well. Adding both sauces made the burrito THAT much better. The orange sauce did have a win over the green sauce though. If anyone is looking for a decent burrito in the area, I would DEF check this taco truck out. you won't regret it!!!!! read more

Reminds me so much of SoCal. These tacos are as good as it gets! I ordered the Jumbo shrimp tacos and mannnnn. Perfecto. One thing to point out is that the cheese on there is fried. My friend didn't enjoy it but I liked the extra crunch! read more
** Authentic and reasonably priced tacos with a sauce bar. Taco truck located in a parking lot next to Target. Initially I was supposed to come here when my friends introduced me to this spot, but we left since it was late and they only had al pastor. Upon searching it up on yelp, with 4.5 stars, a significant number of reviews, and solid looking tacos (from the pictures) I knew this place had to be the real deal. The truck is located next to Target on one side, with the other side being a sketchier looking liquor store and a car shop, so I knew this had to be the optimal balance of sketchiness and cleanliness to get the best tasting tacos without risking health or food poisoning ;). I tried four different tacos - Lengua, Grilled Chicken, Carne Asada, and Brisket. All proteins were pretty bomb to me, but if I had to pick one or two I'd go with the Carne Asada and Brisket. The lengua (tongue) is very soft and tender as well, but I just personally preferred the Carne Asada over it for its richer flavor. No matter what, I don't think you could go wrong with any of those four proteins. TIP - if you aren't sure about your spice tolerance definitely request for sauce cups from the workers in the truck (there aren't any outside). This way you can sample whether the sauces are too hot before pouring them all over your tacos, and also if you are taking the tacos to-go this will prevent them from getting soggy later! The sauce bar has a few different sauces, lime, cucumbers, and onions that allow you to put the finishing touches on the tacos to your liking. I went with the regular tacos (cilantro and onion) and felt satisfied since I personally don't like cheese. If you like tacos, this is definitely a solid option to try! read more

This place is in my top 3 for tacos in the bay. The campechana (asada and chorizo mix) and asada tacos were amazing, especially the campechana. Not only was the meat cooked perfectly and piping hot, the orange sauce was incredible too. It had a kick to it, but was also creamy enough to balance out the meat and onions. Think of an elevated, perfected La Vics orange sauce! They unfortunately didn't have pastor the day we went (maybe they ran out..?) but I hope to try it next time. Will be back for sure. If you catch them while they're open, do yourself a favor and try a few tacos. Promise it's worth! read more

Whole in the wall! Best damn tacos I've had in while! Proper legit tacos. Hand pressed tortillas on the grill till it's got a crispy crust. Then comes the meaty filling. I highly recommend Carnitas! Al pastor, carne asada, birria, fish, shrimp, chicken, chorizo and veggie in super tacos or regular tacos. $3.50-4.50 a taco. Way better than the Mexican restaurants around town. I hope they open a restaurant with a full bar soon. read more

What are the hours of operation ? I have been here (and am currently here now) and they are not open. It's pretty inconsistent...
Are they even still open? I've come twice and the truck is never there at noon on tuesdays or Wednesday's.
I feel your pain, I have come numerous times, and they haven't been there. I ate there a last week, you can see my review, and it was fantastic. I try to call before leaving the house for that very reason. They don't always pick up, and then I have…
Did the truck move? I attempted to go and eat here today and never found it
Believe they had to do inventory
