Stopped by here as I was craving a burrito. $18 for a super burrito with not even grilled chicken available is not worth it. The only option was shredded chicken which looked VERY dry and with no flavor. When you walk in its hard to distinguish where to order from considering your typical menu is NOT where it should be. The ladies are hard at work and it took some time to even notice someone wanting to order. She was rude to tell me thats it coming when the other worker asked to confirm my order number. I have to say the burrito took FOREVER to make. I also noticed they use the same spatula to stir different meats on the grill. A huge red flag if you do not eat beef!! ALSO the lady who took my order didnt wear gloves to grab the burrito off the grill. I don't know it this is normal but the menu doesnt show the prices of the items on the big board which can really throw you off on what you want vs what you can honestly afford. 3 stars overall as the quality has gone down significantly I used to love this spot, as their burritos were solid and regular burrito used to be $8 and super was 10 or so. But now their burrito cost have gone up to $15 but the taste has declined which is a bummer I have tried their papusas as well, and those are okay. I would get their shrink burrito, or their carne burrito; both of those I loved before. Their customer service is okay, they are more of a serve yourself type of place - nothing wrong with that. Ok so I've wanted to try this spot for longer then I care to admit. Being vegetarian it can be hard to find options at spots who use mostly meat on the menu, so I kept it simple: bean and cheese pupusa for myself and chicken tamale for the wife. The service was nice and welcoming, the wait for the food real, lol. You are getting fresh cooked though, so it's like right out of your kitchen at home!! We came in at around 1pm on a Sunday- it wasn't too busy and there was only 1 other party in front of us. I could tell there were a handful of online orders as the staff seemed busy with packing up lots of to go orders. We ordered the horchata, 1 al pastor taco, quesabirria, and chicken quesadilla. However, for just the 3 food items, it took about 30 min to arrive which was surprising to us as when we ordered these items at other places, it doesn't take as long. The al pastor was a bit too oily and salty for my liking. The quesabirria and chicken quesadilla were pretty good, but the meat could've used more flavor. This place has some of the best pupusas in the South Bay. The horchata I love it's more on the sweeter side since it's Salvadorian style. Service was quick and easy, they bring you all your needs right away. The restaurant is small but cozy it has such a home vibe everyone is all smiles and love to enjoy their live sports on the TV. This place is a small hole in the wall but boasts a good sized parking lot. The interior felt clean and it had quite a few tables inside as well as some outside. The workers were friendly enough- more "down to business" though (which I appreciate). We got a sopes, cheese pupusa, bean and cheese burrito and a la carte enchiladas. The pupusa was really tasty, and had a good homemade feel to it. The burrito was lightly toasted. It took a little bit to get our food, but totally worth it for the very fresh quality. My coworkers and I came here for lunch because one of our coworkers mentioned the birria tacos here were good. My white coworker ordered birria tacos but was told they did not have any today. This is a solid spot to get your taco fix and an even better spot for Salvadoran food. I've had a few tacos here and I think the lengua (tongue) is my favorite one here. It's light as I believe it's stewed but everything is fresh. The star of the show is always the pupusa which is the classic Salvadorean dish of essentially a corn pancake that's often stuffed with things like cheese, pork, refried beans. I usually get the one that includes everything and I love the requisite pickled cabbage slaw they serve with it. On Sundays a lot of families come after church to eat here and I see many order some sort of soup such as their seafood soup. That would be something I'd try the next time I come. read more

I am always on the lookout for a taco place that can do it all--great burritos, tacos, and plates with each of the meats. Most often a spot will do one of the meats very well while the others are pretty average. Rincon Sabroso comes very close to hitting this mark with the meats to choose from. The asada doesn't offer anything special, but the lengua and tripas were both done very well. Though my partner was not impressed by the carnitas, I found them to be in-line or slightly above what is generally found in the area. The prices are very competitive and the super burritos are a generous size. We were a bit disappointed by the nachos which could definitely do with some more layering, though this could have just been a rushed plating. Similarly, I could not recommend the chile rellenos. Generally a favorite of mine, I found the rellenos to be a soggy mess with a less than appetizing sauce mingling with excess oil. I was pleased to see a delicious and very crispy fried tilapia that was not overcooked or dry as I tend to find at many places. The service was a bit slow, but not overly so given there were only two on staff and the kitchen space is tight. My friend had raved about the Tripas Tacos here, and they did not disappoint! I just got a few of those and downed them all in a few minutes LOL. Love how crispy, fatty and juicy the meat is. The tacos here are definitely straightforward and no frills, though in my opinion, they're a bit pricey for what they are. My one gripe is that the food took over 30 minutes to get to us. We saw a few people who came after us who got their food before, so it left us wondering why our food was taking so long. The workers here are trying their best at hustlin' and cranking out a lot of food though, so props to them. We went around prime lunch time on Sunday and it was relatively busy with a steady flow of people, but by no means crowded. Authentic pupusas right here in Mountian View! I actually watched them take the masa and pound it down into a pupusa and then grill it on the flat top. It comes with pickled cabbage and a very mild salsa- you can ask for spicy salsa. We also ordered the chicken pastel de pollo which are 3 fried empanadas with chicken, carrots, and seasoning. They make the tortilla from scratch! Yes it is a hole in the wall place without much decor. But the menu is extensive for all palettes. Parking is easy in the strip mall. First of all, you should definitely order via calling in, doordash, or going in. Ordering on Yelp (Grubhub) gave an inaccurate pick up time. It said 25-45 minutes but it took a total of 1.5 hours. Apart from that, I've had many asada super burritos from here and it's never disappointed. That would be my go to and recommendation for anyone trying for the first time. Another delicious item is the tripa taco if you're feeling adventurous. This time I tried the lengua super burrito and the pupusas (since, after all, they are a Salvadoran restaurant). I was pleasantly surprised that it tasted great because I've tried their lengua taco before and I felt that it was slightly dry. The normal cheese pupusa is not worth it, but the one with zucchini was good. Overall, if you're looking for tacos or burritos, this is spot is worth it. read more

We started off with their pupusas (chicharron con Queso) which were delicious and they were pretty generous with the chicharron, it was not just dough/masa like at other places. Also very well priced! I had an order of the red chilaquiles with a sunny side egg on top--these were amazing, I'm a big fan of the spicier chilaquiles and these did just that! These came with Salvadoran tortillas which paired well with the beans and chilaquile sauce My partner had an order of the desayuno con huevo (egg breakfast). Their Salvadoran cabbage slaw (curtido) was some of the best I have ever had with lots of oregano and jalapeño, and their Salvadoran red sauce (salsa roja) was also delicious. Each pupusa was $3+ each, making this one of the cheaper meals locally. The plantains plate ($7.50) served with refried beans and sour cream was also popular at our table and pairs well with an order of pupusas. If there was one thing I would change, I wish they had a few more flavors of pupusas - such as jalapeño, spinach, loroco, pumpkin, and soyrizo. I should note we came here only for the Salvadorian food, and did not try the Mexican food which seems to receive lower ratings on yelp. The interior atmosphere is very low frills, with only a handful of tables, and you order at the cash register. We go here way too often to be treated how we were today. Did our standard order for to go - veggie super nachos with refried beans and a veggie burrito. Got home to find the nachos were missing...beans. I called and asked to receive a credit. The miserable lady (there's really only 1 there, the rest are very nice), said bring it back and we can replace it. By that point I wasn't going to drive back. Rather than hear me out she hung up on me. Somewhat pissed, and because I had to go that direction for something else, I stopped by and asked for a refund. She tried giving me a side of refried beans and $4. Um. No. The chips and guac you gave me are in the trash now. After the gym and a bike ride at Shoreline I took Gavin here to refuel. We were both hungry and was ready to feast. I don't eat papusas often but for some reason I felt that it was my destiny to consume some. This restaurant is very small and it gets busy and after eating here I can see why. Service was spotty. That was the impression I felt.. because this place was busy I sent Gavin off to fend for himself so he can hunt down a table for us whilst I order and pay. We tag team all the time when we need to. He found a table whilst I ordered the chicken burrito bowl, a chicken burrito (w/o the pico), and their beef papusa. Gavin's burrito and my burrito bowl (really a plate) was served w/in 15 minutes which isn't bad but the papusas took awhile. They do make everything fresh but still.. 25-30 minutes for papusas isn't what I was expecting. I had to go up and ask. The papusas were delicious.. I will learn how to make it myself. read more

Of all the years I had been coming here, I cannot believe I never wrote a review for this place. It is one of my "go to" taquerias. Their burritos are large and very filling; I typically eat it over 2 meals. The carnitas are crispy, juicy, and very tasty. I am looking forward to giving the Quesabirria tacos a try soon! This was a great place for dinner. Prices were cheap and food was delicious! I got the combo dinner plate with chile relleno and enchiladas and they were yum. Two of my friends got their pupusas which looked amazing as well. It was super cool to see the awesome ladies making pupusas like a machine. If I were to go back again, I would probably try the pupusas. Also plantains!! You can never go wrong with plantains. I don't need the condensed milk, but my friends liked the combination.
