    Very nice kitchen staff

Pupusas are first rate; not the best I've ever had but very very good; light, not greasy. Cabbage is a bit too spicy but good. Rice was fine (Salvadoran Mexican, just fyi). I'd prefer green sauce, but they don't offer it. Good value, takes a while for fresh pupusas (which it should), just fyi.

Combo plate 2 Papusas, a chicken Tamal, and a sweet milk Empanada with Cole slaw.

I was in Menlo Park for work and had some down time. Zipotes was the solution. The sweet man at the counter told me it was going to be 30 minutes. I got the combo. A sweet milk empanada, a chicken Tamal, and two pork Pupusas. It was worth the wait. Absolutely delicious! I loved everything. The Pupusas were divine. The Tamale had lots of chicken inside and was steamed in a banana leaf then neatly wrapped in parchment paper. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. The sweet milk Empanada had a bar of milk with the consistency of cream cheese. The dough tasted like plantains. It was a perfect side dish to everything else and was unique. When you can't get down to El Salvador to dine beachside - go to Zipotes. Lovely people and great food made with love.

My son and I had a hankering for pupusa for lunch today. We usually get take out and have it at home, but its totally different (and much tastier!) to have them freshly prepared and hot off the grill. For the two of us, two revuelta pupusa (pork, beans and cheese) and one order of two pastelitos de carne (fried Salvadorian empanadas) with an ample sides of curtido (slaw) and salsa roja was a fully satisfying weekend lunch. Several hot sauces on the table. Washed down with a Mexican Fanta of course. Very barebones decor with just a Salvadorian flag on the wall. I often go to restaurants outside of my comfort zone and would never ding owner who might roll their eyes some clueless gringo trying to order. The man at the counter was welcoming and helpful despite my mangling of the menu. We'll be back.

This little restaurant serves good food. They have the typical Salvadoran plates. I went for the breakfast - it satisfied my craving. The handmade tortillas were thick and moist. The coffee was good. Also, for nostalgia or if you want to try, they sell Salvadoran snacks. I support local Salvadoran businesses and owners. In the heart of hearts, they're trying and this is how they make their living, and it's not easy these days. The fact that they ask for payment before you get your order is probably because they've been burned many times before and can't afford to lose anymore.

I am a true believer in difficult times we must come together as a community and support our local business. So here we are Zipotes restaurants Due to the shelter in place take out is the safest option and these guys were amazing Staff Very helpful and attentive Pictures worth a thousand words

Beware ... this restaurant has now changed its name from Zipotes to Cipotes. I'm not sure why but the people are all still the same.

Don't go here! The only reason I gave it two stars was because of the lady at the register. She was sweet and considerate. I came here to try it out , since I live in the neighborhood. All I ordered was the Pupusas , just one . First it took forever and then I found out they burnt the first one, later on after I finally got my Pupusas and after almost half way through I noticed that they forgot the meat! Not worth you're time or money. Pic below of my screwed up Pupusas.

Friendly local neighborhood spot. Has a dinky parking lot, but there were spaces available. Service was decent, there were friendly faces. It did take some time (waiting in line, ordering and waiting for food) , but this is to be expected in a Mom and pops shop like this. Home made food, fresh and hot out of the oven (literally!) Pupusa was tasty, but skimped on the cheese. It was okay in size (I've had bigger lol!). I also ordered a side of plantains, generous portion. Cheap and affordable eats, total only came out to around $5. Overall, I enjoyed the meal.

The papusas are very good, they make them to order! Only thing that could be better is if they did online orders or were on Door Dash

Food is good but price is too expensive for some pupusas. Would recommend the pupusas if you don't mind paying a lot for them.

It's a food truck parked on the street near the corner of the shopping center nearby. Parking was pretty easy on the street or in the nearby shopping center. The staff was very friendly and full of smiles, and I was able to order with my broken Spanish. Food: I wanted to try a variety of pupusas so got the Revueltas, spinach with cheese, and lorocco with cheese. All were very tasty and I would love to try the rest of the menu as well. My favorite by far is the pupusa Revueltas. This is as close to authentic Salvadoran you can get until you try the local cheeses in El Salvador.

Far better than most places around here that I've tried.

The only option was shredded chicken which looked VERY dry and with no flavor. When you walk in its hard to distinguish where to order from considering your typical menu is NOT where it should be. The ladies are hard at work and it took some time to even notice someone wanting to order. She was rude to tell me thats it coming when the other worker asked to confirm my order number. I have to say the burrito took FOREVER to make. I also noticed they use the same spatula to stir different meats on the grill. A huge red flag if you do not eat beef!! ALSO the lady who took my order didnt wear gloves to grab the burrito off the grill. I don't know it this is normal but the menu doesnt show the prices of the items on the big board which can really throw you off on what you want vs what you can honestly afford.
