Regular Quesadilla

Ordered to go and found my food just sitting in oil, my friend with me also got a burrito that was the same

Pollo asado on the left, carne asada on the right

NOTE: RESTAURANT IS INSIDE THE BAR! I came by once during off-peak hours and thought that Paper Platez was closed because the truck was closed up. I came by again today at lunchtime and saw the banner for the restaurant inside the bar. My fault for not reading the banner the first time but easy to miss if you're expecting a food truck. I read about Paper Platez and its Taqueria La Bamba lineage and had high hopes that they could deliver a pollo asado super burrito the way Taqueria La Bamba could when they were at their original location on Old Middlefield. I got a pollo asado super burrito and added a carne asade super burrito based on the many positive reviews I read. Both were fine but not close to the Taqueria La Bamba burritos I was hoping for. I know my expectations were too high but I was hoping to find the original Taqueria La Bamba burritos that were moist and where the pollo asado had a strong grilled flavor from the well season plancha. The burritos I got today were decent (3-3.5 stars) but a bit dry with almost non-existent char flavor to the meat and slightly crunchy rice... more like the burritos from Taqueria La Bamba after they moved to their Rengstorff location. At $16 each, I don't see myself eating here again unless I happen to be drinking at the bar.

Pupusas

Came here on a Saturday evening and got 3 of the revuelta pupusas. I was really excited for these as they were kind of expensive ($5 each) so I was hoping these would be really good. However, the first thing I noticed was that they were really oily. I had to blot them with a napkin. When I cut into the pupusa, I couldn't tell if there was pork in it as it was really mushy and mixed inside. The red sauce was just okay in my opinion as well as it wasn't very flavorful and didn't really do anything. I heated up the pupusas the next day as well and had to throw them out bc the oil was too overwhelming. Overall, I was kind of disappointed with my experience here. Not sure I'd come back here but if I do I would try another item on the menu and wouldn't get the pupusas again.

Grilled fish super quesadilla and shrimp burrito, both large portions and well cooked

Freshly cooked food, either inside the bar or outside at the food truck depending on time of day. We watched them cook it right after we ordered so it's definitely fresh! Served on paper plates as the name suggests. Large portions of meat, we got a shrimp super burrito and a fish quesadilla and both had a nice portion of well cooked seafood. Maybe a little pricey, $16 for a burrito and $16 for a quesadilla but definitely filling and delicious. Planning to come back here for take out or dine in since it's near where I often work out

Wowzers! They need a sixth star! This little food truck has a lot of big flavor. It is so good that I didn't want to give this review because, then EVERYONE would come over here and the lines would be too long! But I really love the food, and I can't wait to try their other offerings! THEY HAVE PUPUSAS!!! Yaaaaay! After many other of my favorite Salvadoran places that served pupusas closed down soon after the pandemic, I was afraid that no others would replace them. Along comes Paper Platez and I am blown away. I went straight for the Salvadoran menu, naturally, and ordered the pork papusas and a Salvadoran tamale. If you never had a papusas, it is a stuffed pancake made with maize and stuffed with meat, beans, cheese or loroco or a combination with cheese. It is delicious! But here, the outside was crispy! A CRISPY PAPUSAS?? YES!! And it works!! It really fired off my saliva glands, it was so flavorful! I had some room for my tamale, and the first bite was sinfully good. The look on my face looked like I just . . . use your imagination here . . . But I was in heaven! It takes something really special food-wise to make me cry with joy. The texture was ultra creamy and just melted in my mouth! The flavor of the meat and the seasoned maize (and this, I think, contributed to the umami here). This had to be one of, if not the most delightful, memorable, delicious eating experience I have had in ages. Highly recommended. Paper Platez is deliciously open from 11:00am and closes at 9:00pm. I am going there again to try some of their other delicacies!

Taco truck... Dive Bar... line of hungry people... The tacos were excellent. Nice crisp on the carnitas. However, I nearly broke a tooth on a large bone fragment hiding in the carnitas. Otherwise, excellent tacos.

Love this place for a quick lunch on my lunch break or while drinking at O'Malleys. Love the super quesadillas!!

I recently tried Paper Platez for the first time and I was really impressed. I ordered the vegetarian burrito and it was delicious. The burrito was huge and filling, and it was packed with flavor. The beans were cooked perfectly, the rice was fluffy, and the vegetables were fresh and flavorful. The burrito was also served with a side of salsa and guacamole, which were both excellent. The service at Paper Platez was also very friendly and attentive. I asked for extra salsa verde and Rojas for the burrito. I was far too hungry to take any food pictures and I literally inhaled the burrito. Food pictures would be on my agenda next time around.

Stopped by here as I was craving a burrito. $18 for a super burrito with not even grilled chicken…read moreavailable is not worth it. The only option was shredded chicken which looked VERY dry and with no flavor. When you walk in its hard to distinguish where to order from considering your typical menu is NOT where it should be. The ladies are hard at work and it took some time to even notice someone wanting to order. She was rude to tell me thats it coming when the other worker asked to confirm my order number. I have to say the burrito took FOREVER to make. I also noticed they use the same spatula to stir different meats on the grill. A huge red flag if you do not eat beef!! ALSO the lady who took my order didnt wear gloves to grab the burrito off the grill. I don't know it this is normal but the menu doesnt show the prices of the items on the big board which can really throw you off on what you want vs what you can honestly afford. Not for me personal but to those who are being mindful of what to order. The previous reviews don't lie. Would I come back here again? Absolutely not!

3 stars overall as the quality has gone down significantly…read more I used to love this spot, as their burritos were solid and regular burrito used to be $8 and super was 10 or so. But now their burrito cost have gone up to $15 but the taste has declined which is a bummer I have tried their papusas as well, and those are okay. I would get their shrink burrito, or their carne burrito; both of those I loved before. Their customer service is okay, they are more of a serve yourself type of place - nothing wrong with that. I just wish the flavor was the same and they cooked their carne more and didn't leave it grizzly (where it's chewy, which used to not be a problem)

3.5 This restaurant is in a small shopping center. The…read morerestaurant front has a spelling of Cipotes, no Z. Let me start off by saying this place isn't going to win you over with their friendly service. They didn't greet me, they simply asked if I ordered already. I placed my order and was told 30 mins. I sat and waited for my to go order. The establishment is clean and decorated with Salvadoran flags and art. The woman behind the counter muttered something but I couldn't hear her so I asked " perdón" (excuse me?) and she didn't bother to turn around to face me and said they didn't have empanadas. No biggie. They hadn't charged me yet. My order was ready in about 20 mins or so, but to be honest I should have ate it there because when I got my order it was HOT!! But because I was traveling 1.5 hours away it wasn't as hot but still warm when I arrived home. When I went up to pay for my order it was super awkward as the women didn't say a word. I thanked her and walked away with my order. The pupusas are ok, I do like that they aren't greasy but do seem to be heavy on the masa. The curtido and salsa are really good! The yuca con chicharrón was good, the yuca could have used flavor. I usually boil mine with seasoning and then fry it but I notice most restaurants just toss in the frozen yuca to fry. The chicharrón is what made this dish. Wherever they are getting their chicharrón or if they are making it, they got that part down right! It's really yummy.

The parking was tough and the wait was a little long, but the papusas were made by order so I don't mind. A cute little restaurant with lots on the menu and El Salvadorian pride everywhere. My order: We ordered 5 Revueltas (pork, cheese, and fried beans) and 2 extra papusas to go. Both the To-go order and the plates came with curtido and the salsa. They were good and very fresh, so fresh that my dad wanted to take the leftover curtido home and they just gave us an extra bag of it!!
