Hmm. Ordered online 25 min ago and was told ready in 30. Showed up and.... Kitchen not busy at all, ie nothing being prepared Nd my food not ready. They looked at their iPad (must have been first time in 25 min) and then started preparing. If I could take the tip away (already paid when ordering) I would. I came here because I read that this truck is related to the great La Bamba spot that was forced out of their original location for government affordable housing, so I went to paper platez and ordered the super burrito, it was decent but nothing close to La Bamba. Such a large quantity of food for the price, absolutely great value. We got all vegetarian things, and it was a little bland without the sauces. Red sauce is a very different type of heat than the typical tomato based sauces so be on the lookout for that. We weren't able to order cheese quesadillas online, but when we went to pick up the food we asked and they made it really quickly for us. That was a much better quantity for my two young kids than the regular main dishes. The place seems relatively new, but highly recommend and will definitely be going again. read more

I had a hankering for churros and stumbled upon this tasty treat. I ordered a churro and the queso birria tacos, and gosh, wasn't expecting both to land so well. Both were lightly crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. As others have mentioned the queso birria tacos were plenty flavorful by themselves, no consommé needed, but were still good with a light dip. I've only had these a handful of times but this food truck's QBT are the best I've had so far. The churro took a little longer to come out but definitely exceeded my expectations. Best burrito in town! Growing up in mountain view, La Bamba was a central feature of my childhood. When i moved back home as an adult i was heartbroken to see that it had closed and joked that if it was truly gone then we were calling off the move. when i learned about Paper Platez I was so happy to see that the legacy of La Bamba is still alive! After reading the great reviews we decided to give this place a try. The veggie tacos were very good, with a side of the spicy salsa. The burrito was decent though the tortilla was a little burnt and I could definitely taste that burnt smell. I would definitely try this place again. read more

I've been here upwards of 40 times in the past year because they have the best burritos in the area by far. Love the way they thoroughly toast the wrap, and the balance of ingredients in the burrito is consistently perfect - never too much of anything. I really was shocked that this place has definitely delivered on both fronts. The hunt is over! The flavor of their birria sauce shows just how much love they put into all their food. And the fact that my 12 year old son called it the best papusas he's ever had said more than enough for anyone who knows how picky he is. We ordered chicken and carne asada burritos, regurlar fish and shrimp tacos. Chicken burrito tasted relatively good. Carne asada burrito was bland and had added sour cream, which we had specifically requested not to include. Prices for tacos displayed on truck menu was deceptive. We were charged over $5 for each fish and shrimp taco (instead of $3.44 as listed) even though they were Regular and not Super tacos. Apparently only chicken and carne asada tacos were $3.44. Shrimp tacos was swarmed with onion (we had requested no onion) and bell pepper with few hidden small shrimp. In summary, this food truck business engages in misleading pricing display and shows inattentiveness and sloppiness in following order requests. Foods offered are average in taste but definitely overpriced. Contactless payment was not available. Customers are strongly advised to review their purchase receipts and also check out other places for taste and price comparison. read more
