Pretty convenient. Their menu has the standards, and I was feeling the birria tacos. They were pretty mid. A decent portion with a good amount of onions and cilantro, but at $14 they are definitely more $$ than other food trucks. The meat was good quality, but the meat itself was a little dry. Double tort, which is always a good move, and the meat to tort ratio was great. There's one guy working, and he's all business. No chatter, no attempts to connect, IMHO this is how you could a following, as long as the food is decent to great. With three other taco trucks within a 1/2 mile, they lose the taco battle. La Familia folks will do up all the usual, tacos, burritos etc. custom when you order. Tacos are on the small side but good. Got the al pastor and carne asada. Some sliced radish, onion, salsa and hot hot jalapeño peppers come as the sides or garnish. The fellow taking the order was helpful and nice. Another person cooks it up for customers. Service was courteous. An enclosed outdoor tent with long benches and small tables is directly next-door to the truck. Maybe this is typical? Extra star for such an accommodating pleasant set-up at a quality taqueria truck in the middle of quasi-suburbia.

I expect spiced and flavorful sauces with my food and it was like I came from my high school cafeteria with rice. rice. rice. the tiniest slice of lemon. I haven't had something so bad in so long. what was that?! the shrimp tasted like saltwater. The fish was so overfried it tasted like smoky oil. I will not try this again.

The sandwich is probably an acquired taste - it is vegetarian and very cheesy. I liked it but others may not.

Burritos are now around $16, which might be fine if the food still felt worth it, but it doesn't. The flavors aren't what they used to be, and everything tastes much more saltier than before. The service has also changed. The staff up front isn't very friendly anymore, and since COVID they got rid of the salsa bar (before it used to be self serve outside their food truck). Now if you ask for extra salsa, you're charged $1 for two tiny containers, which just feels petty given the prices. I think a good salsa can make or break the Mexican food. I really wanted to keep loving this place, but between the cost, the taste, and the overall experience, it's just not worth it anymore. Disappointing after so many years of loving this spot
