We came by on a Sunday afternoon and there was no wait to order. After ordering though, we probably waited 15-20 mins. The food truck is a bit hard to find as it's behind a closed down gas station. It's actually at the same parking lot as the Chinese restaurant. We got the beignets, Birria tacos, and the la croque provincial sandwich. Overall I thought the tacos were delicious! However the beignets were average compared to other beignets I've had. The sandwich is probably an acquired taste - it is vegetarian and very cheesy. I liked it but others may not. read more

Quesabirria: seasoned perfectly, good amount of cheese, would highly recommend La Croque provincial: simple but tasty. Bechamel sauce pairs nicely with the roasted tomatoes. The side of fries were good also, fresh, crunchy, salted the right amount. Kinda like McDonald's fries, which IMO are the best fries. Beignets: this was a miss for me. The bread tasted a little dry and flaky, not chewy like I would expect. $28 for everything, enough food for two people, good pricing. read more

We drive 20 minutes each way every Sunday to get these over the top burritos. We looked for a Mexican food truck out of our area just for fun and we hit the jackpot. Everything was fresh. You can see in the photos what's in the super burrito. $31.00 for one steak and one chicken burrito. Worth every penny. A family business. Update: I am going to keep the five stars but two of the times I went it wasn't that good. Once the son made it and today the cousin made it both times I didn't like it. All the times the wife made it I liked it today it was border line gross. Didn't taste fresh. I guess I need to call first to see if the wife is there. It's a 20 minute drive for me so if she isn't there it will be a total bummer. Guess I need to find a back up place to eat if she isn't there. read more

I was really excited to try this new to me food truck! The owner was super sweet which was a nice start. However, after getting home and a few bites in I bit down on something really hard. After spitting it out discovered a bolt/screw was in my burrito! This has never happened to me before, I was so surprised, grossed out, and am just glad my tooth didn't break. read more

Pass this spot often on jobs from work and finally decided to try it as I wasn't super hungry and craving something different. Definitely doesn't disappoint Beignets are super legit and I highly recommend eating when you get them! Crpee is also super delish. Not sure if you can add other items to the crepe, but by default it's as shown in picture with Nutella, whipped cream and strawberry glaze. read more

I'm new to the area. I learned about Petra's from the owner's son, who grew up and now works in downtown Mtn View. He told me it was his parent's dream to start this food truck. It doesn't get much more local than that! I decided to swing by for lunch yesterday. First up, very cool, their menu is a double-whopper: Latin and French cuisines. I wasn't sure how that might affect my simple order for a chicken burrito, but they nailed it perfectly! It's hard to really rank burritos, but this was easily one of the best! All the right flavors, in all the quantities/placement, with a perfect amount of juiciness. Also, I met the dad and he was really friendly and gracious. Happened to stumble across this place to get a quick bite before we went to go watch a movie that's a minute walk away. We ordered nachos w/ asada and a burrito. Both were really good and satisfied our cravings. Staff was really friendly! They had 2 tables and chairs set up for you to sit while having telenovela on for some entertainment :) parking is a bit tight since it's sharing a lot with the gas station but you can easily find parking somewhere around the area. read more

This place is amazing!!! We stopped there by accident and left happy and full!! I was craving a torta de jamón all day and what do I see when I walk up to the truck? They have tortas de jamón !! At that moment I knew got sent me there , it was soooo good ! The people were so nice and friendly im definitely going back And trying the rest of the food !! The beignets are worth five stars, and you need to eat them right there while they're hot. The order got us six small ones and some Nutella with them. (He doesn't have coffee, though, but 7-11 and Starbucks are nearby.) Croque Provençal was a nice veggie alternative to Croque Monsieur, and there are crepes. We went there the first time today, we just happened to find this truck next to the gas station. I really liked the guy in the truck who was so kind that he answered all the questions I had about his menu and food. We tried the sandwich, I think it is called Torta. The truck said it is Mexican and French food, but I never had this type of sandwich at any Mexican restaurants before. It was a new experience and the sandwich tasted very good! I am looking forward to going back to try his French food next time :) read more
