Tacos Don Valle is a gem. The asada and pastor were the standouts for me. Well seasoned, good char on the meat, and that crispy texture you want from a taco done right. The shrimp was fresh and solid but nothing that blew me away. The suadero ran a little too fatty for my taste, probably won't revisit that one. The nachos had the same quality asada with nacho cheese, salsa, guac, jalapeños and sour cream. Really tasty. My wife said the lengua was the most tender she's had from a taco truck in the Bay Area. High praise. She also had the Jamaica agua fresca and it was perfectly balanced, not too watery, not too sweet. Our friend ordered a giant burrito and threw a fried egg inside. No notes. read more

The chicken burrito was a 10/10, even at 15 bucks I still felt it was a good bang for your buck. I'm not easily filled up but that burrito kept me full for the rest of the day. The reason I put a 4 star instead of 5 is because of how stingy they are with their salsa. In my picture you'll see they didn't even give me enough salsa to dip a French fry in lol. Of all the local taco trucks this one is my favorite. The food is about the same at all of them, but I like that this one has some seating and the location feels a bit more spacious and open whereas some of the other ones which are closer to a gas station, which for me makes the vibe a little less pleasant. Pretty chill place, on the side of the gas station near Ranch 99. They have seating next to them, which is nice if you want to take a seat. Be warned though that it can get pretty noisy with all of the cars passing by. I decided to have nachos even though my normal order is a super burrito. It was pretty standard but did take over 10 minutes to get. Maybe I came at a busy time? I was the only one there though with one person coming by to pickup an order so not sure what was going on. read more

Seen this place around multiple times after grocery shopping and decided to finally stop by and try it. We got their carne asada quesadilla and carnitas and barbacoa tacos. They have a good selection of meats and the carnitas and barbacoa were my favorite. The carnita was crispy and tender, both meats were super flavorful. I am a sucker for crispy carnitas and went super burrito. $14 for this monster is a deal. Lunch today and tomorrow. Carnitas was as advertised and flavorful. Came home for a funeral and needed some good tacos. Saw this outside the Nob Hil and glad I stopped. Prices are awesome, guys are nice, and honestly tacos were good. Got 2 tripa and one pastor and gotta say I liked that the tripa was fried nice but still had that good texture. Pastor was solid too, way better than anything we have in Georgia. I liked that the prices are fair too, I mean 4 bucks for a taco is amazing (usually it's 5 in Georgia and that shit is ridiculous). Another thing I like is the mix of pickled onions, radish, and jalapeños you get (helps make the meal complete) It's a food truck but like that they have seating with napkins and hand sanitizers at each table (it's a nice thing I guess for Mountain View). Will for sure be back to try something else on their menu. And if you over there, for sure stop by. read more

There's a great new taco contender I. The immediate area. Outside of Joya Taqueria (which inherited the menu from Super Tacos El Conrro), pretty much all the best tacos are from trucks. And Don Valle is excellent. They also do tortas , burritos, , quesadillas and breakfast fare. The meats I've tried carnitas and suadero were very well cooked and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. I say this because shrimp have a very small window of excellent, the underdone/overdone range is very wide '(especially the latter) so you have to pay attention. And so they do here. Also the seasoning and tortillas are just right. I realized I forgot the line initially and it didn't even need that nor the salsa. But of course those added even more combos of flavors. The spot I usually get tacos was closed so I came here, and I can't believe I never been here before. This spot was friendly, clean, reasonably priced, and had amazing tacos! I got lengua, asada, carnitas, and loved all three. All the meat was juicy and melty, none of it was dry at all. Im surprised this place isn't busier; it's certainly going to be replacing my usual taco spot in SJ. This is an excellent taco truck! I've tried many of their meats, in my several times stopping here: carne asada, suadero, chorizo, pollo asado , and camarones; all outstanding. Tacos, burritos, tortas; all delicious, with very generous portion size as well. I've gotten to know the owner a little bit too. He was telling me about learning how to cook from his grandmother, as well as working in restaurants for years, saving up to have his own business. This place definitely deserves your business: excellent food, friendly owner, and a convenient location at Grant Rd between El Camino Real and EC Hospital. Got 3 shrimp tacos and a veggie burrito(beans, rice, pico de gallo and avocado). Good flavor and decent price ($3.50/taco and $12.50 for burrito). Very friendly staff, gave us extra salsa(make it every morning is what I hear) and chips while we waited. Took it to go, but there is seating if you want to eat there.
