Beware: this store doesn't stand behind or check their doordash orders for their customers! Read my review

I've been robbed: I ordered 100$ worth of food via DoorDash! The dasher arrived with two horchatas, 1 flan and 1 huevos divorciados. We were missing the two pastor and two asada tacos, 1 pupusa and my quesadillas Gus from the order. The driver, handed me one bag and little bag attached w drinks .... I said this isn't everything-there should be more. She said I had to contact DoorDash or the store. 1. I submitted through doordash and they only offered 21$ refund, I opened a case, left 3 chats and called twice waiting for a manger to call me 2. I contacted the store, they said the order was picked up, no help offered, apology or replacement of food. The missing food is 42.90, paying 99$ for everything and only getting 21$ refunded with no help from DoorDash, the driver or the restaurant is not a great customer experience!

I've driven by so many times but now we officially stopped it! I feel like my expectations were exceeded on the inside based on the exterior. The food was so tasty and had great presentation. Staff was kind and not trying to rush things.

I had tacos and while the tortilla the meat was on was handmade it seems, the asada was DRY with no flavor. I had to add the small portion of salsa to make it taste better. The horchata was super sweet and the service was subpar. Wouldn't go again.

Cozy little spot in Mountain View! Exceptional, attentive and welcoming staff. It is a self seating restaurant and they go to your table when you are ready to order. I've come here multiple times and it never disappoints! Food was delicious and always fresh! Recommend to eat here rather than take out. I'll be back

Food and ambiance was really good! I got a pollo burrito mojado and it hit the spot! Service was a really really slow but overall still a good find!

Went around evening time it wasn't as busy. The place is cute but a little disappointing at the same time. The menu is pretty decent but I hate how they don't have the prices listed. I got the Poblana enchiladas for $21 dollars they're somewhat tasty but on the sweet side. I don't think it's worth $21 unless you like sweet mole.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I got 3 tacos (2.99 each) with cabeza, Suadero (brisket), and al pastor. For about $9.50 it was definitely way more than tacos I get in LA. Overall, the meats were cooked to a great texture. The flavor of the suadero was the best of the three. Cabeza didn't have much flavor, pastor had some pieces that were charred. My favorite thing was seeing a big bucket of masa next to the plancha. I hate it when places don't use fresh corn tortillas so this is a huge plus for me knowing that I'm getting handmade tortillas with my tacos. Overall, happy they have some meats that are not served at a lot of locations (suadero especially) and the use of freshly made tortillas.

Nice experience, the food was very reasonable for the bay area. The food itself was friendly to the taste and went down easy.

Very solid taqueria featuring some of the best pupusas in the area…read more Today I had a pupusa revuelta (cheese, chicharrón, and beans) and another with carne asada and cheese. Both are hand-made to order with fresh masa and come out so hot you're gonna want to let them sit for a minute before digging in, if you can restrain yourself. The revuelta pupusa has a soft and flavorful filling that comes together kind of like cheesy frijoles charros. It's kind of the classic pupusa filling and I think for good reason. The smooth and well-mixed filling ensure every bite has masa, each element of the filling, and ideally a healthy pile of curtido and salsa. The asada pupusa is a little bit more of a novelty, but the asada itself is solid and I like the variety of having different feelings to work with. If this is your first time here, I recommend going with the asada. My only critique of these pupusas, which is a critique of pupusas I have in general, is that they could use a little more filling, particularly around the edges where the bites can be kind of masa heavy. Pro tips: they just got kiosks for ordering and you won't see a pupusa with asada on there as an option, but you can do so if you order at the register. By default, pupusas come with a traditional thin tomato sauce that isn't spicy, but I always ask them for the salsa they bring out when you get chips instead. It's chunkier, spicier, and slightly more acidic and I think it pairs better with the pupusas. I ask for this and plenty of curtido when I order takeout from here.

There were a lot of complaints about service but no complaints about food so we decided to try it out. Ordered 4 chicharron pupusas and one carnitas taco. Just ordered the taco because I am a deep deep lover of carnitas and I wanted to try it. Under $25. The place was packed with all Latinos ... first good sign. Lots of the complaints were about timely-ness, and I say to those people, relax. Everybody was working super hard and fast, and it is just really busy at lunch. It takes a little time to get your food, but it was absolutely worth it. these might be the best pupusas I've ever had. They brought out three salsas for us, and I was partial to the green. The pupusas were chock full of cheese and chicharron to the rims. Fried perfectly. The carnitas taco was amazing! The pork was so crispy and delicious. As to the service, ours was great. The tables were all full, but a couple of guys said we could sit at their table because they had two empty seats. Thank you! A young person with bleached hair wearing a baseball cap (sorry I should've asked your name) was really attentive. He cleaned our table and brought us ice water. I can't wait to go back! I will be getting more pupusas, and my mom wants all carnitas tacos all day.

We wanted papusas and Comalito came up with spectacular reviews and was open (at time of writing,…read morethey open Fri-Sun)! Food and service were great. Food ordered: Yucca fries on the house! 1. Plantano Fritas (4/5) I love a plantains and these were delicious and less oily than other which I appreciate! Personal preference is a I prefer a little more sweetly caramelized plantains, but I did really enjoy this. The dish comes with a white creamy sauce and a refried bean dip - both yummy and not overpowering in flavor. Papusas: Lots of flavors to choose from! And in general, for all the papusas, the papusa batter is wonderful and the porportion of filling to papusa is perfect. 2a. Calabaza Papusa - mixed cheese + zuchinni (4/5) This was the most cheesey papusa, where the cheese was the heavy lifter. I enjoyed it and every bite had a nice cheese pull too it. I would have liked to see a little more zucchini green, and for it to add to the textures. 2b. Frijol y Queso Papusa - mixed cheese + refried beans (5/5) My favorite! Can't go wrong with a bean and cheese papusa and this was so so good. I recommend this classic pairing of flavors anywhere. I was thinking about this papusa for days. 2c. Chicken Papusa - mixed cheese + chicken (5/5) This was also really good. the chicken is mixed in with the cheese, so every bite has both, which was nice. There was also a lovely seasoning which balanced all the flavors beautifully. 3. Churros: This usually comes with vanilla ice cream, and the server warned us they didn't have any in stock. We were fine with that because we love churros. When we were complete with our papusas, they served us our churros and surprised with apple slices instead of ice cream which was a lovely touch. Parking: There is no designated parking lot that we have found, but the public 2 hour parking lot 2 blocks over on Second Ave! Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Comalito. The hardest hurdle is parking, but once you find the public parking lot a couple of blocks over, it was easy to find and gives you a little exercise before you eat! Papusas were all delicious and there is a plenty of seating room. Keep in mind they are open Friday-Sunday only at time of writing.

They're made of thick tortillas cut into strips that are crunchy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside served with bean dip. The yuca fries were good but I wasn't a fan of the chipotle dip. It went well better with the house bean dip. The platanos were ripe and soft. I prefer them a little less ripe but they were still tasty. The pupusas are small they suggest 2-3 per person for a reason. I got chicharon con queso. They were flavorful but they weren't close to the best pupusas I've tried elsewhere. Overall a good spot if you're in the mood for Salvadorean food. The service was average out drinks took a long time and came after the food arrived. The place itself is nice and clean.
