My food was fine but i walked up to the counter to two Hispanics women speaking Spanish talking about me. I guess they assumed because im a black woman i don't understand Spanish but i do. And i think it's very rude. I am visiting Austin for the first time and was told To come here & will never return. I didn't go to P. Terry's for years but happened to go to the 6th Street location during SXSW 2025 and a couple of times since. I was surprised how good it was. It's a basic burger, kind of like a fast food burger, but always cooked fresh. The fries are really good, also fresh, and a large serving. It's really cheap. Like $3.65 for a cheeseburger and $2.40 for french fries cheap. At those prices, I don't know why you'd go to a big fast food chain. The 6th Street location is pretty spartan, just a few steel counters and chairs, I guess because of the location being mostly 6th street partiers. But, hey, I didn't go for a gourmet meal. It was a really good burger and fries for not much money before going to a show at the Paramount. I'll happily return to P. Terry's any time. read more

Very limited seating indoors with a few bars given the location. No nearby parking. Staff is friendly and efficient. Food is delicious - their burgers are flavorful, juicy, and have all the right toppings. Make sure you add on grilled onions! Prices are very reasonable. Fries are crispy and fresh. All of their ingredients feel well selected. Buns are toasted, which give the burgers more texture and depth. If you can't make it to this location, find another P Terry's to visit - it's definitely worth it! read more

Not good. I ordered a burger and the chicken bites. The chicken bites were dry and tasted of old fryer oil. The burger patties had absolutely no sear or flavor. It may as well have been a microwaved gas station burger. Sorry for the sauced receipt, I threw it in the bag with my sauce before I realized I didn't take a picture. We had to wait a very long time to place our order, and the shop was super messy. It's been a long time since I've lived in Austin, so I don't remember how much I liked it before. Terrys was open none of us had ever had it before my brother-in-law got the chicken nuggets and I got the burger, french fries and a drink. Service is great. They were very quick with the order. The ambience was nice. I do wish that customers took better care of businesses in the area you could tell that they have some of the worst customers who leave trash all over the floor, but yet they still all had a smile on their face were doing their best during busy rushes. read more

Some differences... they don't serve it as sandwiches, you have to ask for bread and no, there aren't any buns. I would go with the brisket and skip the turkey. Glad I decided to place my order through the app while not giving up my space on the line and to my surprise, my food was ready for pick-up even before my turn to order came up. It's at the end of the bar district on 6th street, so it had some "riff raff" hanging around the door. Inside, like I mentioned in the beginning, it was really dirty inside (floors, napkins hanging out of the dispenser, straw wrappers on the floor, etc.). Cashier didn't seem very interested in her job at all. She was looking at her phone while ringing up our order. We got two burgers, and two pops (one coke and one dr. pepper). My Dr. Pepper, ended up being a root beer somehow. While we were sitting eating at the high top table people-watching as people walked by, we saw flies flying around, so we quickly ate and got out of there. ALERT! Myself and my female friend went inside after midnight and ordered our meal after seeing a concert at acl live. After we ordered, we stood inside by the double door, in front of the locked door and trashcan waiting for our number to be called. A random girl popped inside the unlocked door and notified us, a man was standing outside watching us. We asked her where and she said "literally right behind you." We could not see him at night!! He was hiding in the corner of the brick wall and glass, and the reflection of the lights inside was preventing us from being able to see him. He knew what he was doing! When we could finally see him, he noticed and stood across the driveway of the neighboring parking garage. When he saw we noticed him watching us, he then walked by the window of 6th street and stared us down. This is not a review of the restaurant, service was great, however WOMEN need to see this post! My wife and I looked briefly at the menu and ordered a cheeseburger, chicken burger, and a side of fries to share. There is basically not much seating where luckily found two counter spots against the front window. Soon our order was called and went to get the food. This was my first time having the chicken sandwich. The meat looked like a processed patty but was tasty. The way I see it people come here for meat not chicken where it's on the menu to provide non-beef eaters an option. However I enjoyed it and will have it again. The only bad experience was when while eating a homeless vagrant enter the establishment and started asking people for money. He bugged the couple next to us and us too. He was smelly and a bit intrusive. The people working there did not do anything to escort him out. Not sure what to think about P. Location: We picked this one because it was close to our hotel and we wan't it to be as fresh as possible to eat in our room. The burgers were decent - definitely greasy dinner type style, which is what I expected. Had good flavor thought.
