Had à great brunch at PJ and so appreciate our fabulous server Fabiola! She was GREAT!!!!

Very popular restaurant in Brookfield place. Wanted to see what the hype was about because there was a waitlist. Ordered a burger and lobster roll. To be honest the food was pretty underwhelming. I felt like it's on par with a food truck. The lobster was pretty dry. The burger was alright but the presentation could have been better. The food arrived pretty quickly but it didn't seem like the servers really wanted to be there. One dropped a plate on the floor.. it was a very loud scene.. and just nonchalantly used her feet to kick it to the side while the other servers just watched. I guess dropping things is common here. Anyway, this is a very casual spot. So don't go here with anyone you want to impress :)

Quite a tourist-y restaurant, but convenient for a business lunch in Brookfield Place. Nothing particularly memorable / special about the meal. Got the lobster roll (which was actually decently priced $35) and it got the job done. Service was a little slow but they were swamped. Ambiance and vibes were touristy/themed but you know what you're getting when you sign up to go here

I came here because it was on a list of "fine dining restaurants " . Since it was a special day we made the trip. The waiter was nice and professional but this spot is not it . I ordered a lobster roll it was absolutely disgusting I sent it back . It wasn't seasoned it just wasn't good . We ordered chicken wings as well . They tasted horrible the temperature was warm to almost cool or cold they didn't taste fresh at allll. We ordered 2 drinks and left to a more upscale fine dining restaurant because this place wasn't it . I don't think I would visit this or any other of their locations ever again.

Roast chicken Caesar salad

An upscale American bar that specializes in their seafood, but all their options are great. I highly recommend the poblano burger, extremely fresh and a little bit different than your standard bar fare. The roast turkey club might also be one of the best turkey clubs I've ever had! I've also tried the crispy cod sandwich which rather tasty, albeit a little messy, so prepare yourself with a napkin. Most recently I've had the roast chicken Caesar salad, and that might be my favorite thus far. Chicken was perfectly cooked and honestly has my mouth watering even now just thinking about it. The prices can be a little steep even for Manhattan but you definitely get your money's worth in quality. The outdoor bar during the warmer months is also a great time, but it can be a little burdensome to get the bartender's attention with the sheer volume of people that show up.

I was in NYC for a weekend in September and a friend recommended this restaurant and it was one of my favorite restaurants from this trip! Having delicious oysters and wine while overlooking the river on a crisp fall day was a dream! 10/10 recommend.

I visited PJ Clarke's twice this week. Once for a quick late night meal after I checked into my hotel & again for a late lunch on Friday. I checked out the menu online before I visited & had my eye on the salmon tartare & lobster roll. The salmon tartare didn't come with anything to serve it on so I used the potato chips that accompanied my lobster roll as a vessel. I chose the Connecticut style lobster roll which had a pretty good amount of lobster but the roll was a bit stale. My cocktail, the ST. GERMAIN FIZZ which featured elderflower liqueur, fresh lime was light & refreshing. I returned for lunch with my colleague on Friday & we shared the ZUCCHINI & EGGPLANT CHIPS appetizer. He had the chicken sandwich & I had the lobster Cobb sandwich which was beautifully presented, light, delicious & had a nice amount of lobster. This restaurant is huge & has indoor dining, outdoor dining & bar seating. Service was friendly & helpful.

NEW YORK CHEESECAKE

This was an amazing place to eat and enjoy a break after a long day of exploring New York City. While dining under a view of the harbor and the statute of liberty, the ambience makes you feel like you're a part of the big city. The cherry on top of the cake: the food! Every piece of our meal was delicious! Finally, the staff were amazing. I made the reservation ahead of our trip and asked for a table with a view and the staff came through! Additionally the host staff and wait staff were kind, courteous, and treated us very well. Highly recommend!

So the calamari is good and nothing special like other fried calamari. I don't like the idea of all of the peppers In there. They are mushy, which then causes the calamari to be soggy and not crispy because of all the grease they hold, but I love the horseradish Tatar sauce. This dip is delicious. Now, the shepherd's pie is pretty good and has a great flavor. I would get this again. I also got the cheesecake, and I have to say it is pretty darn good. You can taste the cream cheese and all the flavors that make it a cheesecake. Overall, this was a great place to enjoy a nice dinner with a view of the Statue of Liberty. It would have been a five-star rating, but the calamari was what it did for me. But if you wanna drink at the bar with all the hustle and bustle, this is the place to be.

Dips for two

Right next to the water and plenty of people watching. This place is your spot for the summer Fridays to enjoy delicious foods and drinks with friends or colleagues. We tried the dips for two. Loved each dip (and been trying to figure out what each dip was because the menu didn't say) For mains I had the chicken pallaird. So this was ok. Flavor was there but the chicken was dry and over cooked. They also have plenty of mocktail options so I had the one with passionfruit because I'm in love with passionfruit. Delicious and not too sweet. Service was great too!

Stopped in for a few drinks after walking the plaza. It wasn't too busy for a Friday night and it's sort of hidden in the second floor so a bit hard to find. Bartenders were nice and the cheese cake was good! Great water hole spot after a long day of work.

Ordered a Cadillac Margarita (Casamigos) for me + Vodka Martini (Grey Goose) for my partner + thick Fries + Slice of Chocolate Cake Drinks weren't anything special but the fries were hreat and cake hit the spot. Actually, I'm so glad we stumbled in because their cute and short food menu is PERFECTION for lovers of small bites -- crab dumplings, caviar deviled eggs, spicy tuna crispy rice, shrimp cocktail, oysters, sardines, etc... Things I dream of all in one sexy, cozy place that whisks you far away from the streets of Manhattan. Our chairs were comfy, and there were many seating areas that looked equally as inviting. The bar was gorgeous, lighting was super moody. The room was daaark and not very busy on a Friday around 8-8:30 P.M which we appreciated. Our waitress was fabulous and so friendly, great with timing and checking in!

While I can't comment on the wine list personally, I know they are well-known for their extensive selection. After placing our order, we were delivered the sesame pizza bianca, which is a complimentary starter bread with dinner. The bread was a nice size and light and airy with a perfect crust and a delicious, crusty sesame seed bottom. The prawns were our starter and came three to a dish. They were sizable, though since they are served with the head and tail, there isn't a ton of meat on them. That said, they were flavorful and juicy with a nice sauce and just the right amount of spice that didn't overwhelm the fish. The snowdance chicken was the star of the show! It was incredibly juicy and tender with perfectly prepared skin, so I was happy to learn they keep this on the menu year-round. It was topped with some spinach that was solid, though nothing special. We also ordered a side of mushrooms which came with a creamy sauce and fish roe intended to be mixed at the table. The roe wasn't fishy at all but added a great element of umami to the flavorful, well-textured mushrooms. Overall, the service was very professional, though I thought the pacing could have been improved as the dishes came out a bit slowly. I would also recommend ordering at least two dishes per person, as the three plates we shared between two people felt like just a touch too little food. I'm already looking forward to going back--I'd try the winter chicories salad or the veal sweetbreads next time, but I'm open to exploring everything since the quality is so high. I noticed a side dish listed on their online menu that wasn't actually offered in person, so it might be worth double-checking if you have your heart set on a specific item.

I made reservations after seeing their special hot chocolate on social media and had a wonderful meal! Started off with the hiramasa which was fresh and went deliciously well with the citrus-y and sweet cara cara orange, as well as the aji peppers! The castelfranco chickory salad was fresh, crunchy, slightly creamy and slightly tangy - basically everything you need in an appetizing salad! Their house sesame bread was fluffy and chewy with a good amount of sesame flavor without having too many seeds. For mains, the farfelle was very interesting and tasty! The pasta was al dente and the sauce was addicting! At first I was wondering if it would resemble a nut butter, but it was creamy with very prominent walnut flavors and interesting texture (perhaps from the blended walnut skin component?). The addition of burrata and other cheeses was perfect for a cheese-lover like me. The pork chop was flavorful, well-seasoned, and juicy. The leek and cabbage mixture soaked up all the sauce and I wish there was more! Their special hot chocolate with an espresso martini marshmallow was fire!!!! Hot chocolate was decadent, not too thick, and not too sweet. The toasted marshmallow melted quickly but definitely had coffee and alcohol flavors. The amount per serving doesn't appear a lot but appropriate considering how rich it is. The mascarpone dessert had a great balance of fluffy cream, extremely crispy phyllo, and crunchy nuts with a touch of chocolate and vanilla! For drinks, I was really curious about the bi lemongrass but they ran out. Staff recommended the semiplume, which felt like a beer, tea, and sparkling wine all at once! Loved the floral aroma and bitter tea notes. My partner's cocktails were also well executed. Staff were nice and friendly. We got seats right by the kitchen so staff often checked in with us, including the chef!! Vibes were intimate with the dim lighting and minimalist decor. Definitely want to come back to check out their chicken and other dishes!!

We came in on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. After we were sat down upstairs, it took a long time for our waitress to come to take our order. We got the Butterscotch flip, Getaway driver, and Big trouble. These drinks were not it. Although the prices are okay($19 each), they definitely need some improvement. All three had very strong flavors that were not balanced with the rest of the drink. After we finished our drinks, we waited an especially long time for the waitress to come back, check on us, and give us our bill. It was especially frustrating because we were the only ones in the bar at this point and we could hear them chatting downstairs. Overall, both service and the drinks need improvement.
