First of all, our server, Adrianna, was amazing. She was a tiny, energetic lady who took extremely great care of my friend and me. I will definitely ask for her the next time. I went to P.F. Changs for my birthday. With my rewards, I received a free appetizer (dumplings) and Calamari. I had the orange chicken for my entree. (Delicious). Wow! We haven't been here in years and boy have we missed it! The food taste excellent. The ambience is the same traditional P.F. Chang's with a giant horse located somewhere in the restaurant. Our waitress, Adrianna, was fabulous. Great personality and service. We ordered the smoking kung pao dragon sushi roll $14.99, which my husband says is the best to Sushi roll he's ever tasted. It was really good. We both had the hot and sour soup and boy have I missed that the taste of this, is just so flavorful and rich even on a hot day. My husband ordered the lunch special for $14.99 +4 dollars extra for an eggroll. We would skip that next time. It was OK, but it wasn't great. The lunch special came with a cup (generous portion not like the tiny cups you get at some restaurants) of hot and sour soup, brown rice, and beef and broccoli. The beef and broccoli was OK. Everything else was great. I ordered the chicken lettuce wrap $15.29 as my main course and it was just as tasty as I remembered. If you haven't been in a while, you definitely need to go back. Food was just ok when it first came out, had to send it back because it was barely warm. But, once we got it back it was great! Honey seared chicken & mongolian beef, both delish! Let me start with our server Brittany was fantastic! Lettuce wraps from P.F. Chang's are probably one of my favorite dishes!! I did notice that the lettuce went from iceberg to Romain, which was fine. I think iceberg is a little bit more crispy, but the Romain was also a good choice. My kids loved the California rolls and honey chicken. My husband got the Chang spicy chicken, which was delicious and I got the Singapore noodles which had chicken and shrimp. The curry flavor was very light, but still came through very nicely with the noodles. I got the featured margarita which was like a pomegranate margarita it came with black salt and rosemary, which I think complimented all the flavors perfectly. We don't go to P.F. I don't usually order PF Changs because they are more expensive than other restaurants but I decided to today. I ordered 3 lunch specials. One came with it's starter but the other two came with nothing even though I ordered soup with both. So all I got were two rice bowls and a sesame chicken bowl with an egg roll for $60!! Upon entering P.F. Chang's there was a couple standing in front of the booth. The hostess was just cleaning menus and not Acknowledging the couple. We stood there for about five minutes behind the couple in front of us. We were not sure what was happening so then we decided to go to the bar and asked the person about to go orders then the bartenders rolled her eyes and point to the pick up station. So then we waited there for about another 8 minutes until a worker came out inside pick up for Carmen and then Carmen was there and then she was like what's your name and I said I'm here for my for a pick up and then we picked up our food and we paid it and we left, she did not say a word to me. It was like the most worst experience ever. Just being in that negative environment made me feel so gross. I really enjoyed their Happy Hour Zen Margarita--it was delicious! Unfortunately, the food was just okay. It has always served good food, even though there are a few changes on their menu happened through the years. Our server was good, she gave me the wrong drink, but all is good. She's very apologetic. I try to avoid eating Asian cuisine at chains, but when you are exploring the Tucson area for great Asian cuisine, your options are extremely limited. I did an Uber Eats with P.F. Changs because the one in Tucson happens to be in one of the worst "find a parking spot" place. Smartgreens or whatever it's called, and it's great, by the way, is in the same plaza and a few other places, too. Limited parking in the front for the humans they get, and the back lot is a joke. I went with the pan-fried shrimp dumplings. The key was that they were homemade. They were fresh and tasty. They come with a sweet chili sauce, which is perfect. The main was Eggplant with Basil. This is how Eggplant should be cooked. Not gushy, not spongey, but firm yet soft to eat. This is so far the only place in the area that has mastered it. The sauce was perfect, a bit of heat, but yummy. Enough for two people or two meals, which is what I did. I had the fried rice, the smaller one. No flavor. None. It was as though they took white rice, colored it yellow, and added some egg. Avoid. No chopsticks were added because you can't request them. For the amount of money you will drop here, give us chopsticks. And this place is expensive for Tucson. You will easily drop $40 here for one person and those items. I removed one star for a. Awful fried rice, b. Price gouging, or as they call it slim profit margins, and c. No chopsticks. Oh, they also forget these things called utensils. And napkins.
