Shortly drinks were served followed by the 4 slices of rolls which was wonderful. Next came the hot and sour soup which was very tasty. The lettuce wrap was impressive. Generous portions of both the lettuce and the meat was awesome. The entree's were amazing. The oolong Sea bass was different from what I was used too but just as good. The Mongolian beef, my old standby was good as expected Lastly, our favorite banana spring roll. Why did it took me so long... Yes I've never ever been to a P.F. Chang's and as much as I've given grief to others that came into the same situation...where have I been!? I am happy to have friends like Terry K who says ok let's go...and here we are lol! Located in Waikiki the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center to be exact so parking isn't the issue here and yes they validate making it easy as well to park and dine at your leisure as we did so along with couple of others making it a nice and relaxing way to end our day. Of course we started with drinks and Strawberry Cucumber Limeade refresher sounded just the drink to have as it was nice and not too sweet, very easy to sip and was very refreshing but I didn't know where to begin so she ordered what they're know for is the Chang's Lettuce Wrap which was not just delicious but refreshing and light. Moving on to some heartier items it was the BBQ Pork Spare Ribs, Signature Lo Mein, Crispy Green Beans, Egg Rolls and what a feast the spare ribs was nice and tender slightly sweet but very easy to eat, egg rolls was sliced in half very delicious with lots of fillings, the green beans was fried to perfection and I just couldn't stop munching on them and the Signature Lo Mein was a delicate bite filled with veggies I really enjoyed it but was hitting the limit as I grazed throughout the conversations. Over priced Panda Express. Bland over priced food. The only reason we passed through was to use a coupon. Restaurants should adjust their POS systems to show totals with and without coupon so customers and tip appropriately. It's a lot to ask a customer to add back the cost of an item. We came here at 9:05 pm to just get a cocktail or almost an hour before close. The bar had 2 people on the bar. The bartenders were just standing around. We asked to go to the bar for just one drink and leave. The hostess said they were not seating anyone else on the bar after 9 pm even though it was empty. Huh?? Bartenders were standing around. What?! It's a 10 pm close. We just wanted one drink, but they didn't care. We would have been there for 15 minutes. Customer service was bad, uncaring and unreasonable. We went back to a local tiki bar nearby who welcomed us with open arms. We asked ourselves why eat at a corporate restaurant with a corporate staff attitude when you can eat local businesses with aloha spirit. Our waitress was very nice. I was so excited to try the miso lobster dumpling. It wasn't the same as what I had while I was on the mainland. Here, the inside of the dumpling is a paste and not actual pieces of lobster like the mainland. I had to ask the server if pork dumplings was given to me by mistake. To my dismay, it was actually the miso lobster dumpling. $19 + for seafood paste? Highly disappointed especially since I try to stay out of Waikiki being from central Oahu. Our server, Devin, seemed distracted and we had to flag someone down a few times just to get refills and check on our order. Where to start..? Ive been to this location couple of times and endured some lackluster service which is fine given it's waikiki. I get it, tourist town, big name company, they probably dont care. But...take a look at the napkin. NO REALLY, LOOK AT THE NAPKIN. I can only imagine what goes on behind the scenes. Hopefully the HI dept of health takes a look. We came here for their lunch specials which was a good value. We ordered the shrimp pan fried dumplings that were really good. They were the best part of the whole meal! My Mongolian beef was ok, not the best. I didn't expect it to be sweet so that caught me off guard. In general my food didn't have much flavour to it. The egg drop soup was good. My brother had the teriyaki chicken and wasn't impressed either. His spring roll was ok as well. His beer was at a good temperature, my coke was not there. It was lacking something, it didn't taste right. On top of that, my glass was dirty in the inside with something that looked like orange juice pull stuck to it. Service was good with the outdoor seating. The only miss was that we were not given the card back and had to come back at night to get the credit card. Overall, it's just ok not good/great. P.F. Chang's has really gone downhill since they were bought by private equity. I had a 5:30 reservation and checked in a few minutes early. They didn't even try to seat me for 20 minutes. It wasn't even busy yet. If you get a reservation, consider getting one half an hour earlier to account for delays. The food quality is much worse than I remember from when I lived near one. The orange chicken used to come out crispy, and the sauce had real orange flavor and some complexity that wasn't just sugar. Now, it's as if they watered down some marmalade and soaked the chicken in it. It wasn't crispy and it wasn't good. I suspect the ownership are cutting as many corners as they can so they can make money driving the restaurant into the ground. The ambience was ok. It's all dark wood and low lighting. No complaints. Bottom line? Go to Panda Express. Sure, the ambience sucks, but the food is better than P.F. Chang's. read more

We used to go during happy hour every year but now my hub cannot have alcohol anymore so we didn't go as often. I always enjoy munching on their fried edamame, the northern style ribs, lettuce wrap and this evening we added broccoli beef since it's dinner time! I know this is not authentic Chinese yet every dish here is tasty. Service was excellent, young chap was talkative- thought we were locals, brought us a big bowl of rice and constantly came over to fill our water glasses. just not that impressed. I had been so looking forward to going to P.F. Chang's as I don't have one local to me. I'd also been craving lettuce wraps. we ordered the $27 special up charged for the broccoli beef and another three or four dollars each for lo mein and the lettuce wraps. The broccoli beef was great. The egg drop soup was amazing but that's where it ended. Our entrées were brought out 15 minutes before our appetizer, the honey chicken was dry and the lo mein was pretty tasteless. The main problem was that our server was also in charge of the bar and never checked on us once. when expediter brought our entrées out, we explained that we hadn't received our appetizer yet. What should've happened is they should've brought our entrées back brought us out our appetizer and then re-served our entrées. Even after we mentioned it he just said sorry and 15 minutes later our appetizer came out by then we were pretty full from our entrée and the chicken in the lettuce wraps was pretty dry. when I brought it up to our server who came over to bring us our check, she just apologized and that was it. We made reservations on OpenTable. It was a Saturday when we went there for late lunch. You can park at Royal Hawaii Shopping center and get your ticket validated but still a little pricey. We started with some appetizers. I got the bean tempura and that was delicious. And my meal I got the beef stir fry with the fried rice. It was delicious. I made reservations for an early evening meal for our party of four. When we arrived, we were told to have a seat in the waiting area, which surprised me. After about 5-10 minutes, we were seated. It took at least 10 minutes for the waiter to acknowledge us. We ordered drinks, which were delivered in a reasonable amount of time. After ordering four various meals, we received our them relatively quickly. Surprisingly, the meal portions were very small even though we ordered regular meal sizes. Being one to never complain, I asked to see the manager before eating our meals. He thought the meals sizes looked small but checked with the kitchen staff and was told they were prepared by their allocated weight. Pretty good location and service at this P.F. Chang's. We came here for lunch to get to happy hour while on a honeymoon in Hawaii. There is plenty of seating and the service is really nice. Their happy hour specials include wine so that was a plus. The food is as expected and you get a lot depending on if you take advantage of the 3 course meal. Pleasantly surprised! Haven't been to PF Chang's since it was near Ward. Hosts were not friendly, no smiles, no welcome to PF Chang's, nada, that was the only down side, you would think especially in Waikiki where there are tourists galore, not a great representation of the Aloha spirit, but we were seated right away, that was great! Our server was welcoming! Nice decor, Asian themed, red , black and gold, dragons and a staircase with nice art on the walls. Food and drinks came out fast, hot and everything was tasty! My hubby ordered a Japanese Old Fashioned which he enjoyed. We each ordered the 3 Course Dinner so we could try more items. It was $27.49 per person. We each ordered the house salad to start and the pan fried pork dumplings, both were delicious! I am a person who usually enjoys slightly higher-end, Americanized Chinese food, which is to say, I am a person who normally likes PF Chang's. The problem here is the staff. Our waitress was unpleasant and I think the rest of the crew tried to make up for it. She didn't come to our table for a long time. When I asked for an extra bowl and she brought it, she tossed it over and said "you're welcome" in a sassy way before I could even say anything. Just unfriendly, put out, and passive aggressive. It felt like the host and senior staff knew our waitress was a "problem employee," and checked in to see if things were okay, but that doesn't stop the experience from being unpleasant. Also, the food wasn't as good as it used to be. The entrees were good, the hot and sour soup was good, but the egg roll was cold, and my wife thought her egg drop soup was inedible. I normally like PF Chang's, so I'll probably get my fix when I'm traveling off-island, but I don't know if I'll return to this one. read more

Where do I even begin on what was a lengthy trip from Waipahu to Waikiki? I had no idea what I was in for in terms of where I wanted to eat at, so...I guess finding myself at P.F. Chang's somehow convinced me to go eat over there for today. I have "sort of" heard about this place, but never ate over there. I'm just as surprised it just so happens to be in the Waikiki area. The place delivers in terms of the atmosphere and setting, that's for sure. Because it definitely feels like the kind of place where it definitely feels like a Chinese restaurant. I had a great lunch over there, which was their lunch special Chang's Spicy Chicken with brown rice and some Egg Drop Soup to eat with it. Super filling and definitely delivered in the presentation. At first, I didn't think it was too spicy, but having ate 3/4ths of my meal, that's when the heat started kicking in. The heat kind of cooled off after a bit, but at least it wasn't like...'in your face' or anything. Overall, in terms of experience, I'd say this was really enjoyable. Would I come back there again? So friendly and bubbly and a AMAZING bartender! I had her espresso martini because it really is just the best you can get. The atmosphere is amazing and friendly and inviting. My buddy was suffering as he was having trouble swallowing the food and actually went to IG to delete the picture he took of the food. Overall, got taxed and ended up paying around $120.
