Gluten free Chicken Pad Thai was mediocre at best. needed gluten free for celiac not flavor free.

We had the worse dining experience in your restaurant on Sunday ( Father's day) 2021. I received an email from your company, inviting me and my family to come in and try the exclusive father's day celebration menu. Therefore, I went in with my family of seven and asked to see that menu. We order drinks as well. We were told that offer did not exist and the server had no clue what we were talking about. I then told our server that I had the email and showed it to her. She said "owe, that is our every day celebration menu. I told her that it specifically said Father's day on the email, but we would still do it. She brought out the celebration menu, which showed that each person could pick one of each for the four-course meal for $50 per person. We told her we wanted to do that and she said we all had to pick the same thing and share it. I told her that does not match what the actual menu she had just given me showed. This went on for about ten minutes and then we asked if we could speak to a manager. The manger came over approximately, ten minutes later and asked what was going on. I believe is name was Anthony, but I am not sure. He was very polite and also said he didn't know what we were talking about. This was really frustrating, as that was the only reason we went to PF Changs. He looked at the email and then said he would be right back. He left for another ten minutes and then came back to us and said they don't have that promotion at this restaurant and I showed him the menu is server gave us. He said, this is the celebration menu, but it is $50 per person. We said that is what we wanted and he was confused as to why the server told us we could not order it. He then changed our server to Austin, who was very pleasant. We still had not received our drinks and at this point, it was 25 minutes that we had been waiting for them. We eventually received our two drinks, but they did not have alcohol in them. So they had to have them re-made. We then ordered our food from Austin and three of us did the celebration menu and four of us did not. It took over 45 minutes for our food to come, and it didn't all come simultaneously. When we asked one of the servers if he knew where are drinks were, he said "that isn't my job." We waited for Austin to come back and he said he didn't know which drinks we ordered, nor from whom. We told him he took our order and he went to check on the drinks which took another 15 minutes. When they finally brought the last meals to the table, my daughter asked the server who was rude the first time, if he would take her plate. He yelled at her and said that he could not do it now and this was completely unacceptable. We told him there was no need to be rude, and that he should remove himself from our presence. We then asked to speak with the gm (Staci Kurian) and then went and retrieved her from the back. She came to our table visibly frustrated and greeted us with a "what"? I explained the experience and lack of customer service we were receiving and she said "so?" She then said" I have had my manager at this table already tonight and what did we want her to do? I reiterated the issues we had experienced up until that point and about the rude employee yelling at my daughter. She then asked me what I wanted her to do about it. I explained that leadership and customer service starts at the top of an organization and that she was the gm and should handle it as she saw fit. She continued to be rude and very curt with us. She then asked us several more times what we wanted her to do. I replied that based on the service and since she asked me over five times, that she could pay for our dinner. She then became visibly upset and said, "I will not do that!" I told her then why did she insist on me telling her what she should do if it was only to deny it? She then said I will comp your drink in a very rude tone. I told her we were looking to celebrate father's day in her restaurant with my family and did not need anything free based on her rude temperament. She said good and left our table. I asked if we could have our remaining courses boxed up, as we did not want to spend any more time in such a rude environment. The employees were huddled up and laughing as if this was all a joke. We paid our bills and tipped Austin accordingly. Again, Austin was pleasant and did try, although it fail short on several occasions. This experience completely ruined my father's day dinner with my family and it's not like we could do it again. I expected empathy and respect from the GM and we were left wanting and disrespected. I love this place. It's a little nicer but still casual. Great for celebrating birthdays, or just a date night. They have amazing food, the appetizers are the best. This place has the best calamari and lettuce wraps in the area. The sushi always tastes fresh and we have always had great service, even when we come in with groups of 20+ The wait can be insane at times, but we always go in for either lunch or after 7 and we never wait. We have made reservations before for our large groups and were always seated right away. It's a little pricy but the portions are large and we usually leave with left overs. They have a ton of options for gluten free meals as well. read more

This place used to be really good but now, not so much. Food was absolutely horrible as well as the service. My spicy chicken dish, the chicken was rubbery and seemed under cooked while my dining partner got the sea bass and was completely burned (so black...). Had to ask for our server, who with all the other servers spent more time at front desk than their tables and the napoleonic manager was only walking around-not checking on anyone, just strutting around. Decided to come in on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. We were seated right away at the smallest table despite the fact there was only 4 other tables seated. My seat was covered in food as if the seat was never wiped down. The plates on the table were covered in lint and crumbs as if they had been sitting there overnight and the silverware had caked on food. Needless to say we walked out. read more

On Sept. 26th I ordered take out from P. F. Chang's located at the Southland Mall in Aurora. I picked the order up and brought it home. There were no utensils,soy sauce or fortune cookies with take out order. Things I can live without as I was bringing the order home. Of the (4) items I ordered only one of them,The Chicken Fried Rice, was eatable. The Dumplings were VERY greasy, opened up like clams, the dipping sauce was incorrect, as it was the sauce used on their lettuce wraps. The dumplings were so poor the dog would not eat them. Having read several other reviews of this location, I suspect it will only be a short amount of time before it is closed. I doubt it will be missed. read more

We branched out from our local family owned neighborhood Chinese restaurant tonight to order PF Chang's. I have to say, we'll be going back to the neighborhood restaurant. For the same price we'd have gotten 2 more apps and another main dish. The chicken wraps had something so crunchy in it you felt like you were chewing tiny rocks. Don't know what that was. Chicken in the orange chicken tasted like oil. Wonton soup had a dirt taste. On the other hand we loved curbside pick up, ordering online was super easy and convenient. But still- sadly the popularity of the name doesn't match the flavor/quality of the food. read more

Who doesn't love P.F. Changs? Its been analyzed and target marketed right to our yuppy hearts. I'm cynical and I know there is really no relation to any actual Asian dishes here, maybe a few odes to authentic Asian cuisine in name only. I'm sad they removed all Lamb dishes, and my favorite dish, 'Dan Dan noodles' is gone now too. My latest visit had terribly overcooked lettuce wrapped filling, and underwhelming value for the cost. read more

Love this place, especially LOVE this location! The only complaint I have is that one of the hosts is quite rude and snippy, she acts as if she is doing the guest a favor by seating them. Marcy and Dean are wonderful servers, very friendly and sweet, both are more than willing to bend backwards for their guests. read more

Did takeout there last night and the food tasted weird. Ordered steak lo mein and there was like four pieces of steak and the noodles were very thin not the usual noodles and they used a different type of sauce. It smelled really bad. Like the oil they used was bad. Daughter order lo mein no veg and it also smelled bad needless to say we didn't eat it. They ordered spicy chicken and fried rice and they got like two spoonfuls of fried rice the container was less than a quarter full. Not the usual quality of a P.F. Chang's. PF Changs for the win because of hot tea, lettuce wraps & entrees that are more than one person should eat. I love Chinese food but I'm not an expert with the overall cuisine. I'm always trying to pinch a penny so very rarely do I go to higher costing restaurants. Decided to treat myself with dine-in at P.F. Chang's. It was definitely a nicer restaurant than I am used to but is not the reason for the 5 stars. The reason is, from the second of walking up to the entrance my nose took over and I could smell all of the food, my nose was in heaven! My mouth started to water and by the time I sat down to order everything was 5 stars! Sorry to say that I could not be an expert food critic. Very disappointed. The food was not worth the money I paid for. I paid 94$ for the for 4 meal. Chicken & beef was very dry. We ordered white rice but instead it brown. We ordered chicken lettuce wraps but didn't receive any lettuce at all. No silverware no napkins. I called and they said they will send gift cards but this wasn't a good experience. Reserved for a lunch on Mothers' day. The host had trouble saying my name; so she got me to a table to corner near the restroom. I requested for booth, she said "booths are all reserved" and did not offer me to wait for a booth. The waiter did not care to wish my wife for mothers' day, rushed through the order, served broken out lettuce for lettuce wrap, didn't return the gift card as there was less than a $4 balance. The table next to us was treated like a royalty, offering them free drinks and coupons and long chats etc. The manager asked how the experience was, and hearing what happened he yelled from a distance to my "Happy mothers day!" and left. The four of us went into PF Chang's in Aurora last night. We had reservations but still had to wait 20 minutes. What's the point of reservations if this happens. I ordered Chang's Spicy Chicken, which it wasn't. It was served without anything. It was supposed to have green onions in it but those were missing. It was just some over done dry chicken pieces with some kind of sauce and a few red pepper flakes, My wife ordered the Crispy Honey Chicken. Same thing, no green onions. Our buddy T. ordered the Long Life Noodles and Prawns. The noodles were kind of all clumped and stuck together. Our other friend ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp. It was just bland, like the chef forgot some of the spices. Needless to say, there are too many other places to eat out there, so we won't be going back anytime soon. read more

As expected from one of the country's most popular restaurant chains, the food was great. The decor and ambiance are consistent with other Chang's locations I've been to. However, this one also has a beautiful outdoor deck. Service was great and our server went out of his way time and again, the stepped it up even more when he heard it was my birthday. Keep it up Chang's Southlands. You rock! I often walk into a place like this with specific expectation from previous experience at a dozen or so other franchise location. I have ordered from PF Chang for years, seeing I live right down the street and have not once encountered this kind of behavior, until today. I just called in an order and was put on hold by Chad (at the time I didn't know his name). When he came back to the line and said "can I help you". I proceeded to give my order. He rudely replied "wait, hold on I need to get a pen to take the order". I ignored his rudeness and waited. He came back and I gave the order for curbside. He asked if I wanted to pay now in which I applied yes. He asked for the card number. I gave it to him the card info and asked for the total. He sounding irritated replied "what", so I repeated more clearly that I needed the total. He sarcastically, rudely and purposefully mocked my voice repeating what I said back to me and then gave me my total check amount. I asked for his name. I don't know who Chad is or if he is having a bad day, but Chad obviously needs additional customer service training and maybe should not answer the phone if he is going to project such a condescending attitude to PF Chang customers, based on his obvious display of having no appreciation for his job and the blatant lack of concern for the reputation of PF Chang. read more

Not such a good experience here today. 1. Our soup arrived cold - our server took it back and heated it in microwave, still we could tell that the soup is stale. The explanation was that someone turned off steam heater in the kitchen. 2. The chairs are so close and no space to walk in between - the whole time I had to sit very uncomfortably. 3. The dishes were nothing special - they tasted worse than your average Panda express I remember the PF Changs at Park Meadows to be much better ( haven't gone in couple of years) - it could be problem with how the Southlands PF Changs is being run or it could be that the quality has taken backseat at PF Changs. Would not recommend the Southlands location - save your money and time - go elsewhere. read more

The food at this location is terrible. Nothing quite like egg rolls with warm outsides and cold centers. I can cook the grocery store version egg rolls better than the restaurant. The entrees came out fairly quick which made me think it was pre prepared sitting under a heat lamp. It tasted like that, too. So, I know it's not real Chinese food, and I was never under the impression that I would be eating authentic Asian cuisine, but I did think that I'd be getting some decent level of service, particularly since I had made reservations (yes, smart, do it, you need to, you're welcome) for my mother's birthday (I told them this, but I guess it didn't matter to them except for putting it down under the "occasion" tab on the reservation slip... on which they misspelled my name... even though I spelled it out for them... I had high hopes as we waltzed through the front doors and were seated immediately (again, reservations... yes, smart, do it, you need to), but then... we just kinda sat there. And sat there. And sat there. And then this skinny little man-boy came over and pretended to know what he was doing, though all he did was ask if we wanted water and didn't come back again for a very long while. So, finally, we got to order our drinks. Or so we thought. I should've known when I asked his opinion on which wine would go best with the food we had ordered and he said, "I have no idea!" Fast forward half a lifetime. Our server comes back with my brother's iced tea and no bottle of wine. He told us that the name on the menu didn't match with the name in the cellar with the name on the bottle with his mother's cousin's sister's maiden name, etc. Whatever. We eventually got our wine. Emphasis on eventually. Emphasis on eventually on ALL parts of our meal. Like our starter soups... which came out lukewarm... and our entrees, which came out after a half glass of nursing wine... and our desserts, which came out without forks... it was really just hilarious all around. Or maybe that was just the wine. Anyway, it was still a fun time because of the company and occasion, but would I go back for another special event? So, we ordered a tai chicken salad, while usually delicious, it was so spicy we could barely eat it. My tongue was so burned and my throat is still raw from 4 days ago! When we went to pay, we only had $100 bill. We pointed it out to the waiter so he wouldn't short change us... but he tried to! He said he rang up another ticket! This P.F. Chang's location is awesome! Host were friendly and got my party seated quick. Bartender (Emily) was great! Very knowledgeable about the different alcoholic beverages on the menu. To our surprise it was happy hour and they have great deals on app store and drinks! We ordered two recommended drinks and two apps. The drinks were perfect thirst quenchers and the apps were hot and tasty and Came out quick! Definitely recommend this location to any and everyone wanting a great dining experience. Also the restaurant and bathrooms were clean, and the music playing was on point and not too loud or quiet. Perfect evening! Great job, keep it up!!! I will be back for sure! read more
