All in all, these guys are the reason that our vehicle is back in commission, so I'm appreciative. We initially went to a bigger, chain store but upon rocking up for the appointment, were told that the one and only person with the skills to do this complex work had left in the 24 hours between making the appointment and arriving for it, so were referred to P & L because, according to the chain store folks, the guys are the only one in the region who they know have the skills for the work.
Still, getting the vehicle back in order wasn't as straightforward as making an appointment and showing up on time for it, because when we did, we were told that they hadn't yet received the special part for the job. Yes, this naturally made us wonder internally, 'Knowing that it's unsafe to drive this vehicle as it is, it would have been helpful to have heard from you that the appointment will be pushed back by several days so that we didn't have to drive several miles for something that should have been communicated over the phone.'
Another week passed, the work was finished in about 48 hours, and the 4-figure expense seems worthwhile after all. I appreciate that P & L is a local, family business with just one repair bay, and that they have the skills to help our vehicle back on the road. I would recommend these guys without hesitation, and I hope they stay open for a long, long time. read more
