Jesse Cater - the new Manager - was fantastic and I complimented him on how well I heard him dealing with other customers while I was waiting for my vehicle. Josh, the technician who did the work on my vehicle was top notch. He did a wheel alignment for me and I watched the computer screen on the alignment machine while he worked. He was not satisfied to get the alignment specifications close. I watched as he got the specification perfect! Most had not been that precise during my past visits. To sweeten the deal, the Manager honored a discount coupon I had from a competitor - and he did not hesitate to do so. Jesse and Josh made this a great experience.

I've gone to that location for years. they were always reliable. then yesterday went to just get an…read moreinspection. they presented me with a document that showed detailed pictures of these crazy worn out brake pads.. the second I asked them to show me.. it was clear that it was all made up. the guy at the desk told me my rear brake was the issue. then when we went to the truck it was my front brake that was the problem not the rear! the pictures on their little report had pictures of the contact side of my brake pads, but the pads and calipers were still assembled on the wheels. so, what they took the caliper off and took pictures and put it all back together? total BS Brought my truck to a Dealer the next day and not only did they pass me, but they confirmed there were no issues whatsoever with either my front or rear brakes.

They told my nope. My tires were good. Another routine service. The dealer said I needed new brakes. Labarges agreed, but half as expensive. Most recently. My fan was making a weird noise so I thought they might cover the repair since I was at 40k miles, just outside the warranty of course. They also noticed my state inspection was overdue. Had to pay the dealer a $189 "diagnostic fee" to discover it was just acorns clogging a filter so I needed a need filter and of courses the acorns removed. $21 for state inspection which is failed because I didn't realize this, but I had two chipped taillights (my daughter is 17 and I'll leave it at that) so I'm $250 into the dealer and they tell me it's another $700+ to repair the taillights. So I stop at Labarges. They tell me to go to a junk yard or eBay and order a left inner and a right outer tail light and they'll pop them in for me. $155 on eBay brand new. And I happened to have a slow leak so they said that the sensor is starting to go, it he cleaned it up, but the aluminum sensors are garbage so they wanted me I'll likely need to replace them eventually. Charge to replace the headlights, cleanup sensor, and repair slow leak. $50 because it took them 30 minutes to do all that work. They charge you for the time they spend. A novel thought no? For anyone looking for a mechanic, why go anywhere else? They saved me over $1,000 on my most recent visits from what the dealer wanted to charge me.

I've had a number of bad experiences at local quick -service tire shops. It's been my experience…read morethat they tend to staff the place with low wage workers who know little about cars and simply don't give a hoot about the quality of their work. They're trained primarily to upsell and have large turnover rates. Mr. Tire is close by to me, and I thought they couldn't be any worse. Wrong,. These guys are a nightmare. I had three service visits to swap out my winter/snow tires on my bmw I3. My vehicle has staged wheels. Wide rims/tires in the rear, skinny tires and skinny rims up front. On all three of my visits to store #1326, these geniuses installed my wide set of rims at the front of my vehicle causing my front tires to hyper extend and dig into my suspension. This is a pretty glaring error. Even a layman can look at the rims and see an obvious side difference. The tires visible bulge when this is done. These guys missed that 3 service visits in a row. The store manager there alerted me to the damage on April 16th. He told me that I had some sort of strut problem. I subsequently booked an appointment with pepboys to have my struts examined. After examing my car, Pep Boys informed me that Mr. Tire improperly mounted and installed my tires and rims. They put the wider set up front, and damaged my tires as a result. I had the vehicle towed back to Mr. Tire. When I arrived (via Uber) the shop had my front weels removed and the car on the lift. It looked like they were in the middle of swapping my rims back into their proper place. Think the tech on duty spotted the error, and they were feverishly trying to correct before I showed up. Store manager came out into the office area. He was not happy to see me. He barked "What??!!? What do you want?!!??" I replied....'You see, my car has staged tires..." He cut me off and yelled "No! No!! That would mean I'm responsible for the blowout!!" He proceeded to bring me into the service area and blame the damage on pothole. I needed to contact the ciy for reimbursement" . Said I needed to file a warranty claim. Go talk to the tire vendor. I told him Pep Boys made that diagnosis. He flatly denied the problem. It's the struts nd I need to see a specialist. I contacted Pep Boys again. They reaffirmed their diagnosis. I contacted Mr. Tire again, they again denied responsibility. I had my vehicle towed to Autobahn Center. After several days of my car being offline, they gave me the same diagnosis:improperly installed wheels and rims. I brought this issue to Monro Tire Customer Service. Monro Tire, the parent company, apparently has no real dispute resolution process. Basically one of their reps calls the store, gets their version of events and regurgitates it to you. After 9 days and two escalations they still refused to pay for the damages. I then when to small claims court and demanded $1515. A month later, after Mr. Tire was served with a suit, I was contacted by Traveler's Insurance, After a month, dozens of emails and phone calls, texts and visits I was offered $1239 for damages. They would not cover a refund of the services. Monro did absolute nothing to correct the problem. No refund. No discounts or free service. Nothing in terms of customer service. I had to fight tooth and nail for two months just to have the damagers paid for. Mr. Tire damaged multiple tires, endangered my safety, deprived me the use of my car. They absolutely refused to stand by their work and their parent company did absolutely nothing to rectify the problem. Take a long hard look at the allegations of damage, grossly neglegent work and fraud in the past several months here on google and yelp. I am absolutely gobsmacked by the reckless and irresonsible behavior of the store manager and corporate customer service. Customer service please don't bother leaving a message saying you want me to give you more details. You had multiple opportunities to make this right, and refused. Don't pretend like you give a shit now.

Dan is a great guy who knows what he is talking about, and his mechanics are pretty knowledgeable and kind as well. As a young woman who doesn't know much about cars, I'm always afraid of getting scammed and up-charged; with my luck some other numbnut mechanic out there would try to convince me to buy their "premium air"... Took my car to capital tech for a leaking water pump. James did this work on his own time which…read moreinvolved changing the water pump as well as the timing chains and tensioners. About 2 weeks later the car developed an oil leak from the area of the crankshaft seal and or the timing cover as well as the front valve cover gasket, all of which he had to change. I paid James 900 dollars cash and I supplied the parts needed to do the job. Now after 2 weeks of text messages and 2 or 3 phone calls to my place of employment, James said he has not forgot about me. I have now taken the vehicle to another mechanic for the repairs. This review is not about Capital Tech itself but the mechanic. I am expecting these repairs to cost another 300 to 500 dollars on top of the almost 1600 parts and labor already spent.
