In addition to some of the specifics mentioned in my previous review (see below), there have been several instances where Ankers could have just recommended the more expensive route to fix something, but chose to allow us to make an informed decision by trying alternatives or doing things incrementally so that it could be determined if a smaller fix would suffice. All this without sacrificing the integrity of the car, though. It is such a relief to know you are going to receive competent and honest work on one of the major financial investments you make: your vehicle. I can't recommend them highly enough.

As they welded it together they used to much heat which damaged the honeycomb inside and pieces broke off inside which caused got clogging and could have caused a fire being the gas couldn't come out the muffler. I was obviously taken advantage of being i am a woman and that was completely WRONG. I am a single mother of two children and our safety comes first and obviously they were only thinking about the money and not our safety. I also brought my car to two different mechanics that said the same thing. Thankfully they refunded me back the money yesterday 2/3/22 to be able to pay for my car to get fixed somewhere else.

The only challenge is that because of this, he's often booked well in advance and so you need to call a few days early to see if he has availability. Secondly, I strongly suspect I got shorted a quart because my previously percolating engine was a quart down a week after the visit. Then the "change oil" mileage was set at 3K, even though the recommendation at my car's age has been 5K for the longest time and it should have been in the Napa records. Speaking of which, the oil change did not make it into the on-line record for the car, which kind of defeats the purpose of sticking to the Napa system. So as much as I kinda liked them, now I feel I can't trust them, so will not be back.

I came in to schedule my appointment and got an estimate. The work is now complete. They hit the estimate (installed new brakes all around), plus a little extra for antifreeze (drain & fill), and a tire rotation. Tires were already off the vehicle, so why not rotate them? Makes sense to me. It was one of the hottest days of the summer so far, 90 degrees, and these guys were still on it. No complaints, just got the work done. Better than me. I think I've found my new go to auto repair shop.
