I showed my insurance card to assistant, I wanted to know if my bill would be covered or most of it. She said, " yes sir, you are covered, I said, " are you sure" ? " Yes sir ". I trusted her %. I was finished with exam and sure the doctor is nice but getting ready to walk out the door, the assistant said " that will be $ 150.00 for today" I was in shock. I was not told at beginning of appointment that I would have to pay $ 150.00 because my insurance would not pay it. Also a few weeks later, I received a bill in the mail for $ 284.00..... I called to complain but was told my insurance only covered a quarter of it and the doctor went up a hair on my prescription. Please be weary of this place. The assistant should have gotten the insurance card from me, and did more of a search to see if I was covered and how much before anything was done. I'm very disappointed and hope this review will help someone else.

I wasn't able to use my amazing frame or any one of the frames I brought with me. That was a big letdown. The frames that got haven't lasted long before I had to get them repaired (no charge). Now I literally can't see clearly and need to be re-examined again. Never had this problem before; maybe it's more than a senior moment.

Dr. Perryman is the best! It's wonderful place. I love the ladies at the desk as well. They are always so helpful and nice With the COVID19, they made everything more comfortable. The only complaint I had today is about the red headed young girl who was doing the glasses . I was going to sit my 2 year old in the chair to put his shoes on and her tone was a little off about us needing to sit to the side. But she may not have had a good day or something. I hope our next meeting goes better and if she was having a bad day, it got better.

They took their time and made sure you were happy with your choices. But beyond that, my spouse had a serious eye condition. He has been to several optometrists over the years and told he had holes in his retinas but was never told it was important to have it checked beyond an eye exam. Family Eye Center did not just pass him off. They schedule him to see a specialist where he found out one of the holes was leaking. If he had waited much longer he could have lost vision in that eye. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! I can not express my gratitude and appreciation for everything you did for us.

Dr. Hornsby examined me. I told the woman that was supposed to assist me that they are not what I wanted, so she told me that they could substitute those with regular precription lens. All I had to do was wait until the replacement glasses came in and they would call me to bring in my own frames and the refit would take about an hour. Well, they did call me and they prepared the regular lens to fit my frame. When I sat down to try the glasses on, the same woman sat down accross from me and immediately accused me of cussing and told me that my conduct was not allowed in the store. I was totally shocked by her accusation and asked where that came from because I did not cuss at anyone at any time and she told me that 2 other employees heard me and told her. My wife was with me and she said I did not cuss at all. The woman then told me that the store has microphones and that she would listen to hear what I said. Well, she never got back to me on that and the new glasses are totally useless because when I put them on, everything was distorted and blurry. I told her that and she said that I just had to get used to them. Get used to them, have you ever had to get used to a pair of prescription glasses? I'm 87 years old and a retired, decorated U.S. Navy veteran and I have had dozens of prescription glasses in my life and never had to GET USED TO THEM. I also have never been treated so badly at any store in my entire life. The woman that said I was cussing and assisted me was very rude to say the least. She would not listen long enough for me to tell her what the problem was with the glasses. Now I'm out $533 and no glasses. I bought a pair of Walmart READERS for about $12 and can read and see better then what I got at this place. PLEASE, don't go to this store for anything.

I was diagnosed promptly, given a good understanding of my eye condition, a prescription with a coupon, and a followup appointment, left happy. I can recommend this doctor and staff.

As I was leaving Kay Mount Sport, the office manager, demanded $55 cash. She repeatedly stated that she had never heard of my secondary in-network insurance company. She was forceful, loud, and unprofessional. Four patients in the waiting room dropped their heads in embarrassment. [She also stated my contact lenses would be $544 +/- out-of-pocket for the year. Also, she stated that they did have a $250 mail-in-rebate I could use; showing a 6"x10" advertisement flyer. Or at a six months or three months prescription, I would pay a doctor fee plus the prescription. Fishy. Later, the prescription for the contact lenses was filled at $31 for three months with the in-network insurance she denied having ever heard of. The secondary in-network insurance also covers two follow-up visits if medically necessary. Not just for prescription pick-up. By Federal law, I'm owed one year of the prescription.] I insisted that I didn't owe the $55 for the visit. Kay Mount Sport told employee Adrian Odom to look at my secondary in-network insurance card. Adrian was also dramatic, loud, and acted confused by my secondary in-network insurance card. I paid. I had to leave to pick up my son from school. Their actions were deliberate and done with the act to defraud me. As a provider, they obtained my property through false representation. It was theft by deception and insurance fraud. EyeCare Associates billing department emailed, correcting them the next day after my bank's fraud department became involved. Looking back, I should have filed a police report. I did get my money back immediately after they taunted me that morning for hours on how I wasn't getting it back when trying to resolve it directly with them. Ladies, isn't it wild? You don't get to steal and break Federal and State laws. On my visit, as a new contact lenses wearer they led me to believe I would pay $600 out-of-pocket. In reality, the visit was $0 and the contact lenses are $124 for the year. Attached is the secondary in-network insurance company that office manager Kay Mount Sport and employee Adrian Odom claimed to have never heard of showing their employer as a contracted provider.
