Great place if you have a kid who gets nervous about going to the dentist. The decor is very child…read morefriendly, kids' shows stay on in the waiting area, and there are tiny tables for tiny people. They very cleverly help children avoid all the things that may have traumatized us older people as kids. Although my daughter still doesn't love going to the dentist, her experiences here are always positive. I could do without the abundant religious materials in the children's waiting room.

One of the worst experiences ever in my child's life.... And I really hate to say that because Dr…read more White herself is very good. My 9 year old daughter was taken back for a procedure to replace a lost filling, I wasn't allowed back with her so I waited in the lobby . This was not my daughters first time having dental work done so I really didn't anticipate that it would be to bad. About 15 minutes after she was taken to the back I was met by an assistant that said "ok well this is just not we day" an I said what's wrong? She said well we have the tooth open and we are going to have to complete the procedure but she is just not handling things well.... She then explained that Inhad the option of sedation which would have taken about 45 mins longer, or the option of allowing them to use the papoose board to complete the procedure safely. I was under a time constant to pick my boys up from school as I had not anticipated sudation, so I consented to allowing the use of the papoose board. I asked if I could go back withy daughter and was told they really didn't allow that.... However the assistant did allow me to step in to see her for a short moment. I was walked by the assistant back up the hall to the waiting area. I continued to ask about my daughter and was told that she was doing ok.... At one point I heard her scream but still was not allowed in the back with her. Everyone in the front office was extremely nice and comforting whiles daughter was in the back. Finally the assistant came to the lobby and asked to speak to me.... She explained that my daughter had been very anxious but calmed down a great deal once they used the papoose. Finally my daughter came around and she appeared to be very relieved that it was all over with. I noticed that she wasn't making eye contact with me and seemed very distracted .... I just assumed that she was still unhappy about the procedure and was probably over reacting a little. I thanked the ladies in the office and headed to the car. Once we got into the car my daughter started crying hysterically it was almost like she had been hold her breath the whole time we were checking out. I couldn't understand anything she was saying ... And as I drove I talked with her trying to make sense of what had happened.... Finally she said "Why did you tell them to do that to me" I asked what she was talking about and she said they told me you said to use the papoose. I explained to her that I agreed to it for her safety... She said "Mom I have never been so scared.... The lady was mean to me, she put me in the papoose told me to HUSH that I had already said enough. I yelled because she pinched my arm with the papoose board and she told me to hush again. She said I was crying hard and she put a cloth over the top of the mask on my nose and them put her hand over that and told me to " stop breathing with my mouth, use my nose....quit panting you are not a dog!!!! I can't tell you how sick it makes me having to type this out. I went to a pediatric dentist because I expected my child to be handled as a child.... I will never take my children back to this office for anything. As I stated before the dentist was great and the office staff minus this one particular older assistant, who apparently has been with Dr. White for a while we're excellent ... But this an experience that my daughter will never forget ... And I have to live with the fact that I didn't trust my instinct when they told me I wasn't allowed back with her. After sharing this story with others I had 6 others message me personally and tell me they had similar experiences with there children and this particular assistant.
