She then sat in the dental chair for another hour waiting to be seen. Because of this unnecessary delay, she had to cancel another appointment she had at 1:00pm. We are the parents of two toddlers, and we both work full time. It is extremely rare we have time for any kind of appointments for ourselves. She likely will not be able to attend the cancelled appointment with her doctor for several months now because of this office's inability to operate in an efficient manner and keep appointments. An elderly lady sitting next to us got called back shortly after we arrived, around 11:15am. She commented that her appointment was for 9:00am and she had been waiting. I've never experienced anything like this in my life, and I am extremely frustrated, and so is my wife. Why have appointments if you cannot keep them? I would not recommend anyone come here unless you can make a whole day out of it.

Well, that time came around again. They had to start by doing xrays & a cleaning in order to give a proper evaluation. I told them I needed to be gassed if they were going to do any probing, scraping, drilling, in my mouth. They didn't judge me, make me feel bad for letting it get to this point, etc. They built the sedation and gas into my bill for every visit [ended up needing 7 total for all the work I had to have done, I just finished the 2nd one today] & I thought I was going to have to have 4 false teeth put in but they told me they could do a different, cheaper, method instead. Everyone from billing department to dental assistant to dentist are so incredibly friendly. I couldn't be happier & my fear of the dentist is beginning to subside. Yay!

Perhaps the quality care, is why I never needed something more than a cleaning!! While it is hard to rate a trip to ANY dentist very high, Dr. Nowell and his team were always top notch. I never recall waiting in the lobby for very long. And his hygienists were friendly, efficient, and pleasant. And for the most part, they never changed and stayed in his office for years. Something I thought was pretty normal until I started going other places. If you are in Dothan and in need of a dentist, you wouldn't get a recommendation for anyone else.
