I had a delicious breakfast sandwich, though there was no way I could ever finish the entire thing. The fries were not perfect, but they tasted alright. I might just be biased against thick cut fries.. Just be aware that there's a lot of cheesy/greasy on the menu (which is not always great for breakfast). The pancake was fluffy and light as it should be. My coffee drinking companion was not impressed with the weak coffee, though. The food was good but nothing to knock your socks off. The food was quick to come out -- maybe ten minutes total. I got the picturesque Cinna Yum Pancake, which was enormous, beautiful, and... Just okay. It may have looked amazing, but it was seriously lacking on flavor. Overwhelmingly sweet. Not much distinguishable cinnamon flavor. Just... Sweet. I sampled my partner's challah french toast, which also suffered from the same issue. Meanwhile, my drink order wasn't refilled once in our entire visit. The server disappeared for 30 minutes after the food came out, and processed the check slower than any server I've ever had. No sides. A side of toast would have been another $1.50. I ordered the breakfast sandwich. It was almost too greasy to hold. The rye was swimming in butter. It was sliding apart. I only ate half. The customer service was great though. Maybe we just ordered the wrong stuff? Our waitress noticed we weren't chowing down, apologized and gave us a discount w/o us even complaining. She actually comped the omelet and gave us a discount. The customer service was so great that we will give it another try. Maybe for lunch? Oh boy! This place right here was so good. I found this place on Yelp a few months ago and finally got a chance to check them out. They give you a ridiculous amount of food that could easily be split between 2-3 people. I got the blueberry pancake and the cheesesteak omelet. The 3 of us couldn't even finish one pancake so keep that in mind when ordering. The food is reasonably priced as well I paid $13 for my omelet and around $10 for the pancake. But like I said you can easily split it between 3 people. There isn't a lot of tables here but there wasn't a wait. The parking is a little tight in the plaza because of the other establishments that are open as well. I give this place 5 stars. I will be returning :) read more

Our hostess was very nice and the place was clean and open. I asked for water and had a nice side glass with a cup of lemon slices about 4-5.So as far as breakfast goes I ordered the bacon cheeseburger giant omelette which was really great with the Angus ground steak and the bacon was crunchy just the way i like it. For what they called giant it went pretty fast off my plate! But when I saw what other people had like a plate of french fries that looked endless and 14" pancakes that looked like tires on a moped scooter I was like ok yes they do have huge portions. I want a place like this to succeed. I guess not as much as a good Jewish deli but something to step on the first stone in the vinings/smynings area. Quantities are over the top but that makes me wonder the cost of the original product. Each of the omelettes seem to have a bitter, overcooked margarine taste. I have been to Oy a handful of times. Every visit was 5+ stars. Great coffee, big pancakes and fabulous service. The little restaurant was always super busy packed with people. Today however, my boyfriend and I decided to go to a breakfast date. When we get there we were not greeted and we are told to sit anywhere. The table was absolutely dirty and no one offered to clean it, maybe someone should communicate with the staff that covid is a thing and that they need to wipe the tables. I ended up using my napkin and water to wipe the table. With the restaurant not even half full, we waited over 20 min for our egg over easy...and it arrived over hard. Not to mention they forgot our pancakes and we had to wait about 10 more minutes. They never brought syrup (pancakes without syrup, really?? Ugh..), or creamer for coffee. I finished my water and no one even thought about refilling it. There wasn't even no one to ask. All the "workers" were playing and laughing around in the server ally. We over heard employees saying that the manager wasn't there which makes us believe that's the reason why the service was terrible. Oy vey! Skip this restaurant and save yourself. Let me start by saying I did not read the reviews before I came and that was a mistake. We came here on a Sunday morning around 10:30. There was a sign saying please wait to be seated but there was no one handling seating. A few minutes later a server walked up and asked if we had been helped already. We told her no and she brought someone over to seat us. I want to point out that the restaurant was not overly crowded or busy when we arrived. There were around 3-4 open tables and several people who apparently had just been sat since they were waiting without food on their table. My sister mentioned that they had frustrated looks on their faces but I didn't pay it any mind. Our server came over and took our drink order then came back with the wrong drinks. We didn't get silverware but I figured it would come out with our food. (40 minutes later I realized how wrong I was.) I noticed that our table had some dust on it. Then I looked up to see a dusty exhaust vent blowing down on our table. A sign of uncleanliness that unfortunately makes me think the kitchen is kept the same way. But through all of this I kept an open mind as we patiently waited for our food. 30 minutes later our server says our food will be out in 3 more minutes. By now we were very hungry and frustrated but we were relieved that we were about to eat...or so we thought. 5 minutes later I ask the server if she could check on our food since her promised time had come and gone. After going to the kitchen she then tells us that it will be 7 more minutes. At that point I'm very frustrated and I ask to speak with the manager. Apparently our ticket had fallen or gotten lost but never made it to the kitchen. She blamed the a back up in the kitchen and assured us we would have our food soon. A few minutes later we did...but without utensils. As I picked at my bacon I asked our server for utensils. She went to get some, AND DRINKS FOR TWO OTHER TABLES. Which means that we had to wait another few minutes just to eat the food we had been waiting 40 minutes for already. As we finished eating our food we saw two other tables who had come in after us already halfway into their meals. I had the cinnamon pancake which was pretty good (considering I had lost my appetite by then) and my sister had the strawberry which left a lot to be desired. Ain't nobody got time for that. So, I decided on the Decadent Challah French Toast Casserole and my husband ordered an omelette with ham and bacon. We figured we'll share our dishes. A few moments go by and I'm watching food being delivered from the kitchen. Here's a true life exchange I witnessed while waiting for my food: *Server drop a 14" pizza try with a large pancake on it on a table* Customer 1: "I ordered the small pancake. Server: "That is the small pancake." *Server drops another 14" pizza tray with an even larger pancake in front of his lunch buddy* Customer 2: "I guess that is the small pancake" Holy shizz, what did I get myself into? I had my second visit to Oy! today and now feel I can give a proper review. The first visit we had the French toast casserole and the diet omelet. The French toast casserole was Heaven on Earth. It was amazing! The diet omelet had ham, bacon, steak, onion, mushrooms, cheese, and was smoothed in queso. A real diet item! The omelet was good, but not as impressive as the French toast. I thought the omelet was literally going to be smothered in queso, it was not, the queso was inside the omelet. Today we had the juicy lucy burger with an extra patty and added bacon. WOW. It was oozing cheese.. so good! We also ordered a blueberry pancake.. pour on the melted butter and syrup.. it was unbelievable. First time at this place. My mom and aunt ordered the Juicy Lucy single. We were told that it was big enough to split. That was not the case. I ordered the veggie burger which was good but was $9 and didn't include fries. The juicy Lucy was $11 and could barely feed 1 and no fries. It was about the size of a hockey puck. This burger is suppose to be the best of the best but it wasn't. It was dry and didn't have this great amount of cheese which was the emphasis of this burger. You also can't see the oy! It was cooked the way I requested and definitely satisfied my lunch hunger. I was with a friend and we ordered one side of the classic home cut fries w/ queso dipping sauce. If you're looking to mix up your brunch a bit, this place is definitely worth at least one visit. My review in particular is three stars and not four or five for a few reasons and may be revised later: 1) Ordered an omelette that should have only had pork/bacon (don't remember the name) but most definitely had some beef somehow end up in there. My dining partner explicitly does not eat beef (I wouldn't have cared as much) which shows some disorganization in the back. 2) All of the portioning here is double-sized, meaning instead of a three egg omelette you get a six egg (priced accordingly), ditto for the pancakes, hash, etc. At first you may see it and go, "Hey, a pancake bigger than my face? Why don't other restaurants think of that?!" Halfway through that behemoth and you realize that why because you are sick of pancake and don't even want to take the rest home. And the omelette. And the hash. That being said, this place is an AWESOME place to go with at least four hungry people so that the dishes can be split up and enjoyed properly. I made the mistake of going with only two. 3) Wasn't very busy, but the tables/floors were dirty and sticky with the person managing the floor only superficially pushing off food and other things onto the floor without sweeping it up later. Combine that with silverware that has crust/grime and clearly is not inspected before being placed in a 'serve-yourself' manner and you kind of feel like you are in a downtown cafeteria, not a brunch joint in Smyrna. Might be harsh but just shouldn't be happening. But today was the worst service we've ever received. The waiter would not put our order in because the kitchen was backed up, but as he was waiting... other orders from other tables were going in. He said the wait time would be a 20min wait and it was 45min before we received half of our order and another 10min for the other half. Some of our food was even cold when it arrived. I came here for breakfast with my boyfriend last week and it was great! The gals that work here are so helpful and very friendly. This is a family run place with a fantastic charm. You order at the front counter when you walk in, personally I prefer to sit at my table and look at the menu, but it didn't ruin the experience. We ordered the farm fresh omelet and a red velvet pancake. Everything is HUGE!! We shared both and still had leftovers. This is a nice small place. The service is very friendly. The food is good. Portion sizes are very ample. They do offer gluten free although it was a little dry.
