Hello Yelp. As a resident here at Cross Creek and an employee I am obviously biased, but still may be able to help some other fellow lover of food choose a location for dinner. Cross Creek is by no means a hip, new, or modern restaurant. Cross creek serves southern style casual meals in a causal dining area. The owner is in her 70's so the only music playing in the actual dining room in oldies hits. The owner is always at the cafe working so you will most likely see her if you are going in for lunch or dinner, she's very involved, her name is Sharon. We serve meals such as burgers, catfish, meatloaf, pot roast, salmon, trout, etc being the main courses and southern style sides such as collards, turnips, sweet potato, creamed corn, squash casserole, green beans, etc I'm sure you can get the theme here. Everything is homemade by chefs that have worked at the cafe for many years, unless you come on an off night and one of the new chefs is working, regardless all the food is fresh and homemade. They have a different special and soup of the day everyday. The daytime chef Evelyn makes a different homemade soup everything, and they are always delicious. The creek is not fancy or modern, it's tucked away in Buckhead at Cross Creek next to the condos, golf course, and pools. They have regulars that come eat sometimes more than 3 or 4 times a week. There is a huge crowd of regulars than frequent the bar and dining area. The bar is quite a different vibe than the dining area obviously. They have a band every Friday night. It's all very old school, which many people love, but judging from some other reviews others would like a more modern and fancy trendy spot to dine. Cross creek isn't it, but many people do rave about the burgers, catfish, onion rings, and homemade sides and soups, and many book party's, events, gatherings, meetings, etc in the back. The back rooms are booked several nights a week for different gatherings. Sharon is old school but it is her restaurant and that's the way she runs it, it seems that many people like her way of doing things, so much so that she's been open for 22 years. Good food, good people, that's what you'll find at Cross Creek. Oh, and check out the view! That's what keeps bring this millennial back. Beautiful view and good people.

Service is always on point, with friendly staff and it always feels like such a great neighborhood spot! We love that we feel like we are welcomed in to this community. Came with a young patron this time who enjoyed the grilled cheese sandwich and tater tots (I love the tots too, so good choice!) We also tried the Eggplant fries. Great presentation, reminds me of Jenga! Note that they are listed as "chili-crisp" and that chili is pretty active. Not a great choice for our toddler friend as they were way too spicy, our mistake. I also think they would have benefited from a creamy dip of some kind to balance the heat, maybe an aioli? Just my preference. Main course, I had the fish sandwich and it was perfection. Again, we always try to get back when we are in town!

I…read moretypically go to LOL burger, but read a review that raved about the turkey burger at this spot! I was sold! I arrived around 3:30pm. They have a dedicated parking a lot that had plenty of open spots when I arrived. When I walked in I read the sign that said seat yourself, so I did just that . The wait staff immediately came over with a menu. She asked if I needed another drink besides water. I am not a fan of ice cold water so I did request water with no ice. I checked out the menu period to arriving so I already knew my order ! I opted for the turkey burger with Parmesan garlic fries. The sound of this had my mouth watering in anticipation as I waited for my food to arrive . It appears the food was cooked fresh because it took a good 15 minutes for my food to arrived. There were only two other patrons in the restaurant so they were not busy . When my food arrived - I got so excited to take that first bite . I started with the fries! I enjoyed them but I did not taste the garlic . Additionally I am accustomed toParmesan cheese being grated thin- the cheese on the fries did not look like Parmesan, but they were tasty! Would I order them again? - no- they just did not taste like Parmesan garlic fries so no need to pay extra for it next time . Now for the star of the show--- this turkey burger was amazing!! Here is the deal, the actual Pattie is nothing special - it's what is included with the Pattie that makes this good. The kale slaw , and the sauce - oh my gosh!! You get every macro you need , protein , carbs and fiber!!! Then to make it even better it has a spicy kick to it ! When I tell you I cleaned my plate ! There was not one crumb on my plate when I finished! My only complaint -- please clean the router and the items next to it ! I sat in the booth directly by the router and the amount of dust on that thing was disturbing ! I wanted to clean it myself! I am sure this does not need to be stated - but I will be back and I would recommended you check this spot out !

The truffle popcorn was really good, though I honestly think it would make a great complimentary table snack. The Rockefeller oysters were cooked well and still had plenty of flavor, but they weren't included in the BOGO oyster special. I also tried the truffle toast, which sounded better than it tasted for me, so I swapped it for the McDowell burger. It was cooked medium and was much better. My Coming to America fans will get that name. They also have a 'Whiskey Bible' with a ton of options if you're into whiskey. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd definitely come back

It was all terrific, so a few notes: The salad dressing is a yummy and tangy vinaigrette, with plenty leftover. The fancy spaghettio-s were fun and paired perfectly with the well seasoned meatballs. We adore the tiramisu at MTH and figured it might be the same recipe here, and it delivered; it was also perfect to finish late night. Local Three never disappoints!
