    Brisket grilled cheese

The Companion Restaurant checks all the boxes -- great food, great drinks, and a vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer. First off: the brisket grilled cheese. If you go and don't order it, you're doing it wrong. It's rich, flavorful, perfectly melty, and honestly worth the visit all on its own. The outdoor patio is another win -- spacious enough to spread out, but still cozy and inviting. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to grab another round just to stay a little longer. Speaking of rounds, the pours here are generous (yes, finally!) and everything on the menu feels thoughtfully priced. No sticker shock -- just solid value across the board. All in all, The Companion is the kind of place you can count on: whether you're stopping by for a casual lunch or kicking back for happy hour. I'll definitely be back.

A cool spot with tasty food, a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Had lunch here with a friend and had the best service from the bartender - he was super friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the eggplant fries which were very good - they have a small kick to them - and the smoked chicken nachos that were insanely good. Will definitely be going back to try some more!

Ok I'll give this place a break bc they only had one waiter serving the entire restaurant. Not good... But we finally got our order and we were not disappointed! The smoked chicken nachos, Vietnamese wings, and the crispy fish sandwich! These chosen items were all very very good! Nachos were excellent flavor and texture! Wings were like nothing I have ever had! The fish sandwich was the best I think I ever had!

May make this our new neighborhood spot. Food es very good and quick. The patio is delightful and dog friendly. Inside is adorable too. We got two burgers, one was apparently voted best burger in Atlanta a few year back. While everything's as tasty, I would not that the burgers were very greedy so if you struggle with that (it's me hi) then you may want to opt for something else's. I was feeling that Greece in my millennial tummy a few hours later. This also causes the bottom bun to be quite mushy and gross by the time it reached our table. I know not everyone cares about that but I do. Also good to note the fries come with old bay on them. I can't remember specifically but I do not think that was noted on the menus. If it wasn't didn't see it. I can't stand old bay so I swapped those with my husband's tots and they were very good. If you like old bay like he does than you'll like the fires. Staff was friendly and knowable and didn't push us to order quickly. We're actually planning to go back with friends this weekend and I just plan to try something other than a burger and to take a stomach pill in advance lol

My favorite place for a turkey burger! They have this kale slaw on it that makes it absolutely perfect. Outdoor seating is great and pet friendly too. The service is fantastic and plenty of parking. This is such a great casual place!

WOW - we tried this restaurant in west Atlanta and it was AMAZING. It is located near the corner of Bolton Road and Marietta Road. They have a great outdoor seating area and a bar that opens to that outdoor seating area. Our server, Caleb, was super kind and welcoming to us. I told him it was our first time and he quickly replied "it won't be your last." He was ABSOLUTELY correct. I asked Caleb what his favorite appetizer was on their menu. He recommended the Vietnamese Wings. We ordered these wings and they were a BIG Hit. The sauce is so amazing that my better half and I spooned it onto the tater tots that came with our meal. We ordered these wings and the Crunchwrap du jour. On the day of our great dining experience, the Crunchwrap was grilled fajita meat and onions in a pressed wrap. We ordered it with tater tots. I also ordered a side of crispy Brussel Sprouts. These Brussel sprouts were so yummy. Impeccable service and unbelievably creative dishes served in a cool atmosphere. This restaurant is a must try local experience in west Midtown Atlanta. I know we will be back to try more scrumptious dishes!

10/10 spot hidden off Bolton road. Great atmosphere inside at the bar and even better outdoor (dog friendly) patio! Staff is friendly and food is INSANE. Creative options with quality & a perfectly crafted beverage list to pair. They serve a Crunchwrap of the day which you definitely can't skip, and the wings (any flavor) are chef's kiss

The Vietnamese wings are 10/10!!! I ordered them and immediately placed another order to take home. I would give The Companion 5 stars alone with the wings but I have to take a point off for the flies. Throughout my dining experience I was constantly swatting flies. If anyone sees this from the restaurant please consider Zevo plug in lights or something to combat the flies. It was truly uncomfortable

I came here with a pretty big group of 14 and was surprised there wasn't a lot of traffic on a Sunday night. I appreciate the fact that they have a parking lot with free parking which is a hard ask for places in Atlanta! Even though it was a seat yourself, someone from my group gave them a heads up and they were able to accommodate our group. We started off with three appetizers which were the pimento cheese dip, buffalo wings and the eggplant fries. Out of the three, I really liked the eggplant fries which came with a red chili oil which was delicious. The fries weren't too greasy and tasted pretty well considering eggplants can be soggy. The buffalo wings were also pretty good and weren't overly coated in sauce so they remained crispy. The pimento cheese dip was good too. For my main meal, I went with the toasted chicken salad sandwich which came on Texas toast and with cheese. The chicken salad itself was pretty good but wish it had grapes or cranberries to add a bit of sweetness. I also upgraded my fries to garlic Parmesan ones which were good! I did wish it came with a bit more seasoning. Overall, was pretty satisfied with my meal and loved our service as well!

This is the special for the day we went. Chicken fried steak with green beans and mashed potatoes. Highly recommend. It was delicious.

We've been a couple of time. I love the Vietnamese wings. We've enjoyed everything we've gotten. I like that it's kid friendly. Plenty of space for a stroller. The food is always good. But takes a while to get food. The water tastes like dirt so I'd suggest bringing your own water. I don't even trust the ice. It just tastes so bad.

Like your favorite piece of music or your most prized work of literature, the Bold Monk exists to bring comfort in your time of leisure. It's a beautifully decorated massive venue, with two full floors of service and also features a beer garden. Bold Monk is a place to simply be...to be satisfied, to be joyous, to be connected, to be well. To be yourself! We ordered some beers (note: they also offer a full bar and many cocktail options) and two appetizers (salmon dip & the bitterballen). My absolute favorite was salmon dip. My only complaint is that they didn't provide enough toast. The salmon tasted fresh, loved the texture and seasoning and it was light while also filling. Overall it was a positive experience. The price point was fare considering the offerings and quality and the service was great!

This is a Belgian-inspired brewery, restaurant, bookstore, and beer garden all under one roof. Bold Monk is located in the Upper Westside of Atlanta, near Chattahoochee Food Works and Topgolf Atlanta Midtown. There's plenty of free parking around the building and on the street (Ellsworth Industrial Blvd NW). I like the space here because there are various spaces inside and "outside" to spread out and hang out. I put "outside" in quotes because their patio is fully covered and enclosed -- good for bad weather. I had the Presence Pilsner (lager, 4.8%, 16 oz, $7). It was cold, crisp, and refreshing. I recommend it. The menu describes it as offering a "soft bready malt, delicate herbal and floral hop notes, and clean, dry finish." For dinner, I had the Salmon Dip ($16) to start and the Steak + Frites (market price) as my main. The Salmon Dip is made with house-cured salmon and tarragon aioli, and comes with thin toast triangles. The Steak + Frites is "chef's cut" (not sure which, didn't ask) and comes with Bearnaise, arugula, and Belgian frites (fries). The Bearnaise went great with both the steak and the fries. Bold Monk is known for their Belgian Frites, "The Original French Fry," which comes with a variety of sauces and in a few different styles. They also offer a variety of mussels and pizza. My buddy had one of the pizzas, "the 1838," I believe, which comes with different mushrooms, mozzarella, and house-made truffle ricotta. He seemed to enjoy it. The pizzas - the 1836, the 1899, the 1838, the 1850, and the 1862 - are all named after years that monasteries opened in Europe. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out just right. The quality of the cut was average/about what you'd expect for budget-friendly steak frites (it's no Bar Blanc in terms of cut quality). But still, that and the Salmon Dip were tasty and satisfying enough. Good service from both our server and the host/manager, who made sure my friend did not leave his jacket behind. Bold Monk opened in December 2019.

We arrived around 1 pm on a Saturday and had issue finding parking in their main lot. There is an overflow lot behind the building and there is signage to direct there if needed. When we arrived, we smelled something delicious coming from the on-site food truck, heard some great live music coming from inside and there were a ton of folks inside and outside just having a good ol time. Once we walked inside, there was plenty of beer on tap but I appreciated that there were frozen drinks available and with their partnership with Urban Tree, I was excited to see some of my old favorite ciders. The guy that helped me was super sweet and helpful. He made some great suggestions and I had a vodka blueberry lemonade, came back later for a water-marita which was my favorite. We order some loaded fries from their onsite food truck and the fries were amazinggggg! Huge portion, hot, and just the right amount of food. They have plenty of other stuff on the menu but the fries were good enough for the both of us. I totally forgot what drink my husband got but I do remember he enjoyed them.
