The exterior was extremely spacious with so many activities: corn hole, a basketball hoop, bucket ball, Connect 4, table tennis, and even a table-top ring toss game. The interior was fairly large, but a good half was separated by the large storage tankers and equipment. There were plenty of picnic style tables on either side of the bar though so seats were aplenty. There were also some high table top style seats and a few comfy seats near the goat paintings. Yes, there are goat paintings. Additionally there were two old school game consoles, but only was working. But it was a two for one game: Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga. This was free to play! And of course there were two T.V.'s with some sort of game playing in the background. Now for the alcohol itself... I tried a beer that had Naughty in its name which was fruity and had a low IBU (International Bitter Units). The strawberry margarita was super strong. But then again, I was sipping from the very bottom. I also sampled the hubs' stout and a watermelon lime beer to which both were pretty tasty. The vibe here was chill as it should be. One guy was super friendly throughout the whole evening engaging us in conversation and willing to help me find the perfect beer pairing according to my taste buds with a few sampling. read more

Can't believe I've waited so long to try this place. We went for an alumni UGA game and it was jam packed bleeding red and black everywhere. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. We decided to try the tropical staycation (sour) & mimosa. Not sure if it was just us, but the mimosa was not the most pleasant drink. It was just so sour, we were struggling to drink it. Stopped in to Scofflaw while in Atlanta despite mixed reviews from a couple locals at another brewery. Our experience also happened to be mixed. The setting is in a slightly industrial area which is fine by us. The outside had a ton of seating, largely community/picnic tables. There were a ton of games, including cornhole, giant beer pong, a half basketball court and a giant projection TV. The service was majorly lacking. We walked up to a blank stare at the counter. No "good afternoon" or "welcome", which I guess is not a big deal...everyone has an off day once in a while. After we greeted the employee, we maybe exchanged another 10 words, and 6 of them were the beers we ordered. The beers were pretty good. My wife had a stout and I had an IPA. We sat outside in the Adirondack chairs with a couple other parties. It was relaxing until a very foul odor came through. I don't think it was from the brewery itself as when we left it strengthened as we went down the road. It still took a little something away from the ambience for us. All in all, I would try again, and hopefully improved service would help bump up to a 4-star review. read more

I've had Scofflaw beer before but have never been to their brewery. Located in the West Midtown area, we made a hike here but thought was worth it. It was a super cold afternoon so there was virtually no one hanging outside. Their outdoor area had a big tv screen, bocce set up, basketball and tons of tables. Would make a perfect hang out spot once the weather warms up. They had tons of tables inside as well and the center of the public area of the brewery is where you can order your beer. As I don't really drink, they had options of hot cocoa and hot cider where I ordered the cider. They also had bags of snacks like chips or cookies for $1. They had a few TV screens inside as well. My husband and I stopped by this Scofflaw Brewing location for their 5th Anniversary celebration a couple of weeks ago. They had fun festivities going on, including a petting zoo for kids, a dunking booth, a couple of food trucks, and lawn games. There was a good crowd of people, and plenty of space and tables to spread out. Their beer isn't our favorite, and the seltzers are ok. They had their seltzers on tap, and I did a flight of those. Wanted to Mix it up Labor Day Weekend....Friend of mine is a BIG Beer drinker so I decided to try Scofflaw. Come to think of it, Atlanta has lots of breweries to choose from. I had been to Sweetwater, and New Realm but wanted to try something else. We had a good time. I ordered the Coffee Blonde and he got the Double Jeopardy. We both enjoyed our beers! Coffee Blonde has a nice hint of Coffee blended with the beer taste... (Excuse my lingo, but I learn more about beer from trying new things with my friends...lol)... I did enjoy this drink! There is plenty of seating inside and outside, and there is a large screen that shows the game. That particular day they had Football on. They have corn hole available and Jenga to play. Brewery has lots of merch and all kinda cool items for sale. Only downer was that they didn't provide a tour. I swear I saw that somewhere on their website but upon arrival we were told they stopped doing it. I will def be back. Pre-Covid, I would've given Scofflaw five stars. They have good beer, lots of seating, and lovely café lighting outside. The POG is my favorite. They have vodka now, seltzer, and so many options for beer. They have food trucks, so they're supporting other local businesses. The day I went they even had free beer for educators! Here's where they lose a star. I went to Scofflaw on a Saturday in January for the first time since the pandemic began. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of precautions they're taking for Covid. Some positives: their tables are spaced out and staff are wearing masks. Negatives: they don't require masks when you're not at your table or even in the bathroom, they don't have marked spots on the floor for social distancing, and I saw one employee pull down her mask to talk. Please get it together, Scofflaw, and I will gladly up my rating to the five stars you deserve. read more

I like their beer....I really do...when it is Fresh! Once again I forgot to check the date on a 12-pack that I bought at my local Kroger this week and it was dated October. I found that out because it formed over when I opened the can...a problem that I have had recurringly when I forgot to check the date before purchase. SOMEONE is not rotating stock, and I can only assume that it is the brewer. And the date is really hard to find on the carton, as if it is barely legible on purpose. I suggest that before you make your next purchase you check the date! (Uncorrected typo above....it FOAMED over when I opened it, and it makes a real mess! read more

I just wanted to add that we hosted a party on a Saturday night for about 25 people here, and it was excellent. Scofflaw was helpful in answering my questions as we planned the party, they let us bring in outside catering, they reserved a semi-private space for us, and once the party set-up began, the employees were very helpful and friendly to make sure we had everything we needed. I can't recommend it enough. You can just have everyone order their own drinks, or they'll do drink tickets for you, or they'll let you give, say, $300 toward the bar tab, and that will cover your guests til it runs out. So thankful this brewery exists! read more

I don't know why I've waited so long to check our Scofflaw, given how much I love POG Basement, but I ended up here for a friend's birthday and learned that I also love Double Jeopardy. So definitely recommend you trying both, if you haven't tried them yet. The bar is an open garage, with TVs set up for all your sports viewing. Seating is communal - long benches for big groups, or you are welcome to share with neighbors! Order your beer at the bar. While I always order POG (which, of course I did at least once), I decided to try Double Jeopardy, too, as recommended. It is literally the smoothest double I've ever had, it's even less hoppy than many IPA's I've had. Not a huge fan of the hard seltzer's. Will probably stick to White Claw for that aspect. I came on a Monday night when it was pretty quiet (which other reviews suggest is not the typical experience), and I loved it--one of my favorite breweries! The tasting room was airy and open, with rows of picnic-style tables, which resulted in a great atmosphere. It's a casual, comfortable place, with a strange yet endearing set of board games. There is also a mini basketball court outside which adds to the fun atmosphere (and is safe too! They have rules about how beers need to be transferred into plastic cups before patrons can play basketball.) We ended up staying right until closing, finishing up our flights, and the staff was kind and accommodating. Most importantly, the beers are great and the pours exactly as advertised. Oyster co and a little Nauti food truck we're hosting their anniversary at scofflaw on a sunny Saturday. A few of us and the pup came by to check it out. Scofflaw has a nice large outdoor area with basketball and lots of benches to hang out on a nice day. They have an indoor area also with lots of sitting space. There have a bar inside and there's a side table for you to choose your flights in a piece of paper. Scofflaw has a lot of IPA's and I'm not a fan of those. I like their sneaky wheat and am glad to see they added seltzer to their options. It's a great alternative to those who didn't drink beers. The strawberry one has a pink hue and the others are clear. It's not super bubbly and the flavors are subtle. Not the best seltzer I've ever had, but it was nice to drink instead of beer. The food was excellent. Garlic and herb chargrilled oysters was the best over the Hawaiian jerk. The raw ones were shucked nicely and their homemade sauces was great pairing. The mahi taco is a huge burrito size taco with wonderful flavor and the shrimp tostada has huge, fresh shrimp. The lobster and crab grilled cheese had lumps of seafood in it and in snuggled in a nice crunch toast outside. We were impressed with the quality of food. Scofflaw seems to always be packed when I stop by. We enjoyed the atmosphere and there were lots of other pets around. Come by and grab a beer! read more

Always heard great things about Scofflaw, so was excited to check them out for a friends 40th birthday. They are Midtownish, and not far from Second Self Brewery. I got a little concerned when I passed a huge cemetery on the way there, but thankfully they WERENT attached to the cemetery . On the evening I came out during the week, it was pretty packed due to the West Stride group doing their group run, so I did street parking. FYI - I'm a runner which is why my buddy had his 40th here right before the group run. Check out the group runs, lots of people to meet, easy miles, plus post run food and beer!! They have the track lights over head outside with lots of picnic tables, cornhole and a basketball goal. You grab your beer inside: flights, full pours, special release bottles. There is seating inside as well, plus a swag shop. Also, VERY kid friendly. They are heavy on IPAs, but I did the other options. I really liked the Watermelon Dirty Beaches and BA Scotch Ale. The Scofflaw Golden was decent. The sneaky wheat just didn't feel like a wheat beer. Honestly, more like an IPA ... maybe that's why it's sneaky? Did the full pour of BA Scotch Ale and couldn't finish it bc I was starting to buzz hard. Plenty more selections, wish they had more of their beer on draft. I really like this place. Great place to unwind after a long day of work. It seems like breweries are popping up everywhere in Georgia and this one has everything one could ask for. Larger patio with out door seating, merchandise, large floor to mix and mingle, huge garage doors that open in the spring time, brewery tours, and an assortment of divers beers on tap. Huge fan of this brewery. I've been to this standalone location and the location at chattahooche food works, and for the brewery alone, I like this location much better. There is a parking lot as well as free street parking. They have a good selection of indoor and outdoor seating. They have a food truck that is there Thursday-Sunday, but I don't believe they serve their own food. Outdoors, they have cornhole boards, a basketball hoop, and a large tv screen for sports watching. What's not to like? This hidden gem has great {covid spaced} outdoor and indoor spaces. If you don't love beer, they have great spikes seltzer's -like better than average -on par with white claw! Outdoor picnic tables and plenty of open air with shade in some areas if hot. There is usually a good vendor {although it's hit or miss-when we went it was "the fresh truck" -which had greasy hotdogs and burgers -quote misleading lol } You can keep your tab open indoors and outside and easily just walk up and keep ordering quickly without any confusion making it a simple easy decision for the afternoon booze fest. I personally enjoyed this place bc as a pregnant mom to be in my 30s -- this spot has a lot of variety of people with majority in mid season of life and a handful of kiddos popping around rather than the typical 20 something year olds only. read more

They have a really large patio area with lots of picnic tables where you can hang out with your friends and just chill. It's also dog friendly. They have board games that you can play as well. This was near my yoga class, so naturally I wanted to reward myself with a few beers after working out. I cannot say enough good things about this place! The staff were super helpful and gave out samples when I was in doubt about which beer to try. I got turned onto DIPA and I HATE IPAs but but I got convinced and will try to seek out more and develop my palate! I loved the Scofflaw Stout. It was so light and great flavors. Not too overwhelming and great on a warmer summer day. Most of their beer was pretty heavy and high in alcohol content since it was IPA heavy as a warning if you're not into heavier beers. This brewery was interesting and different than the others because all of their beers were over 6% alcohol. I was impressed! My favorite was the Sneaky Wheat which was an all American Wheat at 8.5% and it didn't taste like a high gravity beer. I wasn't impressed by the seating situation. They had many bench type seats but hurt my behind after a while. The tasting cost $14 for a pint glass including 6 different tastings. It was a great deal! I'm a sour gal and I thought their sours were super tart and delicious. They have a lot of different options and the environment was great!
