Some super nice Turkish ladies own and operate this joint and provide amazing juices and foods!! Order any wrap on the menu and prepare to be blown away by the sheer deliciousness. They are enormous and will definitely fill you up if you are hungry. Comfortably consider sharing one with a friend. I have seen them make amazing looking sandwiches, too, although I have not yet had the pleasure of trying one. They use very fresh ingredients and have concocted great, unique combinations for juices, smoothies and meals alike. The rosemary bagels are also super yummy and I am definitely a bagel snob. Don't come here if you are in a rush, though. Quality takes time and this is typically a one or two man operation. Totally worth the wait, I promise! read more

Unique healthy food and drinks. An OBX gem!

Great place! I believe there is a shortage of coffee shops in OBX so I was happy to find this place. Their coffee is top quality and very affordable! 2 bucks for their 16oz and they serve only organic, fair trade coffee. The two brews today were a Honduran medium roast and a Peruvian dark. Refills are 1 buck. We were hungry and since we are at the beach we must mind the figure ;). This place fit the bill with a vast array of options ranging from healthy to indulgent. We got the Turkish breakfast. We were mostly happy with it. I wish it was a bit more loaded and that the bread was higher quality. Honestly, the bread served with the meal was kind of a joke. I liken it to even worse than a day old subway roll. Whatevs. It was served with 4 olives, 1.5 slices of tomato, 4 slices of cucumber, a tiny muffin and some cream cheese. Hmmm... as I'm writing this I'm thinking maybe I actually didn't like it. But no it was good. It was light and exactly what we were looking for. What we did was split this and the yogurt granola bowl. It ended up being perfect. The bowl is generous and loaded with fruit. Just be aware that it's an assortment of fruit including grapes, apples, bananas and berries. If you are allergic or dislike one you must be sure to tell them because they mince the heck out of em and it's nearly impossible to save the bowl. I would totally come back and recommend hitting this place up for a smoothie, juice, meal or coffee. Turn around from your drive to Starbucks and support a local business! read more

Their menu is very impressive with all the healthy offerings, which I think is much needed given the common food options in the OBX. I stopped by for a quick smoothie and ordered the Momentum. I found it quite pricey and not as icey-cold as a smoothie should be so I'll probably stick to ordering my smoothies from Tropical Smoothie Cafe, but I would like to try their food in the future. read more

Had a brief opportunity to converse with the owner and quickly gathered that she is very conscious of the ingredients that go into her final products, which as an active type 1 diabetic, I greatly value as well! We felt this place was a bit pricey for what we got. Food was fresh and staff was super nice. One of the sandwiches we ordered was spicy, and the menu gave no indication it would be so it ended up not getting eaten. Coffee was average. The other sandwich was very good. read more

Great place with vegan options! We went here twice for breakfast during our weekend stay this past weekend (off season). The bagels are outsourced from a local bakery and were delicious (we had the Rosemary bagel). The hummus is very good -- has a unique flavor to it! The owner is vegan and therefore has a lot of really great options for breakfast and lunch. Coffee was organic and tasty! Definitely check it out on your visit to OBX! read more

I was just here for the weekend and really wanted a tasty wrap. I found outer bean cafe on google and went because the reviews were good. Well the food really is great. I tried several muffins all delicious, but my sandwich was awesome. Fresh & vegetarian friendly place. Reminds me of taste unlimited, but the food is better in my opinion (Avid taste goer). They also have a ton of non-veggie lover options. I'm going to need to go back for the coffee. Also, super sweet staff which is also what encouraged me to write the review - great food & good people. read more

Both healthy AND tasty! I ordered the My Way smoothie which had tons of healthy ingredients and was very filling. When they say it's a liquid meal, they mean it! My husband ordered a fresh orange juice which was sooo good and pulpy- it tasted like biting straight into an orange. We also split a breakfast casserole which was delicious and full of vegetables, and two mini muffins which were excellent and tasted freshly baked. This is definitely a great place for vegetarians. My girlfriend and I had never been to a juice bar, so when we came in for an afternoon snack and didn't know what to do, we just ordered two smoothies. The owner suggested sharing a smoothie and a juice instead, and we were glad she did! Both were delicious. We also tried the homemade granola, which was great. I wish i enjoyed this place as much as the other reviewers here. I did not try the extensive vegan and vegetarian food options that other people are raving about. But i did go in for a simple iced coffee and i felt the process was a little unorganized, i felt rushed versus welcomed, and the cashier took a call while we were still completing our order- and continued to say to the other person on the line that she was very busy instead of finishing taking care of us. *Our iced coffees were filled to the rim with crushed ice before coffee was poured over it, leaving us with only 2 sips of coffee and lots of melted ice.* We'll give this place another try the next time we're in obx. read more
