Outback I truly hate giving a one star review. In all fairness the review is based on the service or rather lack of, not on the food which was quite good. I'm writing this review as we are waiting for our server, it is now going on twenty minutes that I requested a refill on a soda. Luckily I was able to flag down a hostess for the refill. We would have ordered dessert had the server of come back to check on us. Instead serves are hanging out and talking by a server station/area near the restrooms. A Ziosk at the table is not an excuse for lack of service. I'm hoping someone from corporate sees this review and corrects this problem. Just an addendum to the original one star review. I was contacted by a manager who was concerned about our dining experience. We will be planning a future visit and will update the original review based on that experience. Because of their expediency, I have added a star to my original review. (I added this information for transparency)

Had an early dinner last night with 5 friends. Really great experience enhanced by our server, Rachel. She made lots of suggestions which we took advantage of.

Came to dine in with my wife for the first time, and we were both very impressed with the restaurant. The restaurant alone was very clean from the exterior of the building to interior of the building. The music wasn't so loud either like other restaurants.. It was low enough to be able to have a conversation without shouting. The food was scrumptious! Our waiter Ethan was also the best waiter we've ever had in our life. Very professional, polite and genuinely looked like he enjoyed being there. We will definitely be back soon with our friends and family.

Been here several times. Great food, lively atmosphere, and so on…read more Today was our first carry-out. We were worried but not after we got home with our food. It was just as good as in the restaurant. We ordered for 4 people. The food was spot on. Tomahawk, 2 Vodka pastas, and the wagyu beef stroganoff. With two brussels sprouts sides, the cheese cake and banana pie. The deserts are to die for! I am amazed this carry-out was just as good as in the restaurant. Well packaged. Still fresh when we got home and as always here, tasty. Well done!

Baby, we started off on the WRONG foot. I came here with my family of eight, which I understand can…read morebe a little complicated for a restaurant, but honey, I made this reservation THREE WEEKS in advance. Three. Weeks. So I thought we were all set. Our reservation was for 6:00, and we arrived at 5:54. We were told to wait until six, which was perfectly fine. Six o'clock rolls around and we're told they're still cleaning the table. Okay, we wait. Then we wait. And wait. Thirty minutes later, we find out the people who had the table STILL hadn't even left. Baby...what exactly were we reserving three weeks ago, a future dream? They offered us a complimentary appetizer, which I appreciate in theory, but when you've got a party of eight waiting 40 minutes past their reservation time, I'm not really looking for the cheapest appetizer on the menu. I'm looking for the table I reserved. Eventually, we were seated, and thank GOD for our server Alexis B, because they completely turned the experience around. Funny, knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and genuinely one of the best servers I've ever had. If I could give them five stars separately, I would. They made us feel welcome and somehow kept the whole table laughing after that rocky start. The food had some hits and misses. The crab cake was a little too spicy for my taste, although the rest of the table enjoyed it. The mini sliders, however? DELICIOUS. That buttery, well seasoned bun was doing exactly what it needed to do. Then came my Entourage burger, and baby...THAT burger understood the assignment. It was absolutely packed with flavor. So good that I practically inhaled it. My server even asked if I wanted another one because apparently I ate it fast enough to qualify for a second round. Unfortunately, the management situation left a lot to be desired. After the issues getting our table, the managers seemed to keep watching our group throughout the night. If you're going to stare, baby, at least commit to the performance! It made an already awkward situation feel even more uncomfortable. Honestly, my server Alexis B, was the ONLY reason this experience ended on a positive note. They were so charming and personable that by the end, they felt more like a friend than a server. I'm genuinely going to miss them. The food was good, and that burger was fantastic, but a three-week reservation should not turn into a 40 minute wait with a party of eight standing around wondering when they're going to eat. So unfortunately, I'm leaving with two stars. The food gave me reasons to come back, but the reservation experience and management gave me reasons to stay home. And to my server: you were the star of the night. Protect this person at all costs.

One order was not cooked as requested, which is not really a big deal but the reaction was notable. Upon being told a bunch of people came to the table to apologize and get it right. Especially in downtown Naper where there aren't a million dinner options. After a long day at work, a coworker and I stopped at the bar to unwind. Several minutes went by and nobody acknowledged us. At all. And the bar was fairly empty on a Monday afternoon. The bartender and servers looked at us, but nobody said a word. I was really annoyed but she was angry. She got up and headed for the door and gave the hostess a piece of her mind. Hugo's, you really need to do better. Lousy service is the kiss of death in the food industry. "Good service can save a bad meal, but there is no level of food that can save bad service." I can get a lobster roll elsewhere. I don't need to return.

Stacy, our server is always excellent and very attentive. The young lady who took our picture was so pleasant. And the food - we had the Labor Day special and it was a real treat and a bargain. The Potatoes were OK. The chocolate cake was OK. All of it was OK. Not bad. OK. But for $300, I shoulda been knocked out, spun round, and left in a daze. We weren't. Service was exemplary, and the posh surroundings lovely. But when I cleared my head of the "Morton's" filter, Was this the killer feed I expected? It wasn't. I've been to enough posh joints in my time to know the difference. And here's why I'm stymied: Have I just grown complacent? Do I just don't give a fuck about posh restos anymore? Or do I have a sliding ruler of satisfaction colored by the reputation of the joint I'm in? My folks (and many of my friends) have given me shit all my life regarding my penchant for fine dining, and I've defended myself tooth and nail. I didn't go to posh places to be seen or to trick myself I was part of a class my income did not justify. I patronized places to experience a chef's art, or to have a cuisine of difference. It was a mission. But few believe that truth, and there's my cross to bear. After years of making small, out-of-the-way mostly ethnic joints my focus, and having extraordinary meals at them, to go into a Leviathan like Morton's is a new experience all over again. But I come with WAY more knowledge and experience than the young man whose AMEX card needed an asbestos sleeve. The Filet I had was obviously top quality. But not seasoned. The Shrimps and Scallops were cooked perfectly, but I've had those flavors before. I've had wedge salads in Chicago Greek Coffee shops that were on the same par. And a Baked Potato is a Baked Potato is a Baked Potato, don't you know. $300. It ain't the money. We've had $300 dinners in Vegas (and elsewhere, including Chicago) that WERE outasite. (We also had a $300 dinner in Manhattan that made us wish we were at Steak and Shake, and that's no lie). If it's worth it, the tab isn't an issue. The other, more unpleasant answer is: maybe I just don't care anymore. That answer is negated by the excitement I still get when I find a diamond-in-the-rough, or find an ethnic showing me somethin' I ain't seen before. I still LOVE to eat, and I'm always in the game. Read some of my other Yelps here for the Q.E.D.. The night I'm speaking of here, we were with 2 of our best friends and the table was lively. That aspect of the evening was stellar. The food was NOT the focus. I shoveled bites in between topics, and I really didn't think about it 'til after. I NEVER leave much on my plate anywhere I go, but I brought home half a steak and half a potato from the evening, so did Wife. The food just didn't have enough octane to warrant my undivided attention. I'm not holding Morton's responsible. This is my meshuggah to deal with. But I don't give a damn if I ever set foot in Morton's again. At least for the express purpose of eating. Back to the world of dreams...

Another great dinner at Foxtail!…read more We had to come back to try more of the menu, and this time we ordered: * Pork belly bruschetta: 5/10. Unfortunately, this one wasn't for me. The pork belly, ciabatta, and balsamic were all good individually, but together the flavors just didn't work. It felt mismatched... * Colorado lamb kebab: 10/10. This is one of the more $$ entrées on the menu, but it's absolutely worth it. The portion was generous, the lamb was high quality, and the artichoke pesto paired really well with the rich, gamey flavor. The roasted pearl onions were a great addition too. I would definitely recommend this dish. * Foxtail paella: 8/10 flavorful orzo paella loaded with seafood. Definitely a sharing type of entree!
