For the Rockville Road location on 36. Visit date: November 17th, close to closing. I have almost 40 years of dining-out experience and I have never had worse customer service. I placed an order through Uber Eats for a steak with a side salad. When the order arrived, the salads were missing. I called the restaurant to ask what could be done. Patrick, the manager on duty, blamed Uber while also explicitly admitting they had run out of salad dressing and chose not to include the salads in the order. Even though he admitted fault, he repeatedly told me I had to file a complaint through Uber and offered no help or alternative. I was put on hold multiple times; during one of those long holds (around 15 minutes), my dog got to my steak, which made a bad situation even worse. By the end of the call I still had no food, no resolution, and only the manager's name. I will be escalating this experience to another manager or the GM. This was a hugely disappointing experience, and I hope Outback addresses both the decision not to include part of a paid order and the way the situation was handled when I called. read more

This is a typical Outback in that the food was consistently good and you almost always know what to expect. In this visit to Indy, I met Kellie the bartender that was my reason for a 2nd visit. It's always nice to find an engaging staffer and Kellie did not disappoint. She also directed me to the delicious strawberry salad. And best of all, the steak fillet meal shown cost me $82 CAD in Hamilton just 2 weeks ago. Yes, that's $70 USD for the same meal that cost me $30 in the good 'ol USA. I was served the worst ribeye steak I have ever had. I could not even eat it with Steak sauce. 10 times too salty and I like salt. Rice was cold. Kids meals were overcooked. Overall really bad food. Outback is my favorite chain steakhouse. Their food is always top notch quality. Tip- ask for honey butter with your bread!! Bloomin Onions are better than any other competitor restaurants, especially with the homemade bloom sauce. They have the best ranch than any other restaurant. Steaks are always cooked perfectly, although I wish they would bring back the option for wood fire any steak! Drinks are always delicious. They have raised the prices quite a bit within the last few years. 6oz sirloins used to be $11 and now they're almost $15. Service is always pretty good, even with them being short staffed! I will admit I was a little frustrated with this particular visit. We received several $10 bonus cards over the holidays for buying gift cards there. The paper says only one per visit per table. We were sitting at the bar, and I asked before we ordered our meals that if my fiance and I got separate checks, we could use two. The bartender said yes. When the checks came, she had to leave and get the manager to take it off. The manager said absolutely not and would not honor our bonus. It was quite crowded and I think front staff were a but overwhelmed with the crowd pouring in. I was determined to use my gift card to eat here and so we waited and got a table. We find the preparation of our food is consistent, steaks are prepared as requested, our meals are served hot with excellent servlice. Seating consists of booths and tables surrounding the outside of the bar area. The bar area is first come seating where we always try to grab a high top table or booth. You can dine at the bar or have a cocktail while waiting for your text. They offer a nice selection of Speciality Cocktails, well stocked beer selection and a full bar to handle your cocktail request. I find myself ordering a House Salad as my Appetizer and another large Appetizer as my Entree. There are Mac and Cheese Bites, Coconut Shrimp, Three Cheese Steak Dip and Aussie Cheese Fries to name a few. We love the Kookaburra Wings whether as an Appetizer or as an Entree. The Wings are very tasty, lightly crisp with a flavorful seasoning. The Blooming Onion is another popular appetizer our family always orders. It will easily serve 4 people. The Salads are always crisp and fresh. I like the House Salad as it's full of veggies and a generous serving. Baked Potato and French Onion Soups are always served with a Soup of the Day. The 6 oz/8oz Filet is flavorful and very tender. My husband orders the the ribeye with baked potato and soup. Whether you're wanting a sirloin, prime rib, strip, porterhouse or burger you'll find it here. The Combos have a decent selection along with the seafood selection of white fish, lobster, shrimp and a couple different salmon entrees are the seafood options. Fried Chicken, Chicken & Shrimp Pasta or Alice Springs Grilled Chicken topped with sauteed mushrooms, crisp bacon, Monterrey Jack and Cheddar Cheese (one of my favorites) round out the menu. Save room for dessert and try the Chocolate Fondue Flight with several dippers, Salted Carmel Cookie, or the Chocolate Thunder Down Under (brownie) which are my top 3. Another great date night in the books! For the most part, Covid protocols were being followed. They were seating at half capacity and we were told to wait in our car until they texted us to be seated. Because of the lower number of seated customers, the food was piping hot and fast (didn't even finish my appetizer before the meal was ready. Lol). That flight of margaritas was so good! That with a potato would be a better meal. Both of our steaks were completely over cooked and we are not complainers so we just ate them. I would say order your steak a little more rare than you normally like it. We both had 2 drinks and the appetizer. We also had the filet meals. The check was $89. I ordered the Toowoomba Salmon from this restaurant and had it delivered through Uber-eats. Order arrived in a timely manner. Once I sat down to enjoy my nearly $40 meal, I was quickly very disappointed!! I opened the container and my salmon was so burnt I thought it was a BBQ rib. I tore a small corner piece off and tasted it and it was indeed salmon but it was so dried out and chewy that I could not eat it! I contacted this restaurant and the young lady I spoke with told me "there's nothing we can do about it once it leaves our store". So I confirmed what I heard... We have been to this location a few times now and each time has been pleasant. Like most Outback Steakhouses we have been to, you have your signature dishes and beer. Whether we come for a sit down dinner with our family or sit at the bar for date night with my husband. It has always been good consistent service. My favorites here are the prime rib and to drink I enjoy the beer flights that give you a sample of 4 beers. I went there Friday for lunch which I haven't been to the one in Avon in a very long time. I can't remember my server name unfortunately, but he was a young male who was very professional, and always made sure I was doing okay at my table. For, my lunch I had bbq wings, Outback Steakhouse delicious cheesy fries, and pink lemonade. My wings I get them not breaded, no sauce on it, and instead tossed in their bbq sauce. Using their delicious ranch for the bbq wings it was very delicious to me that way. I was very full for some hours, and if you're like me that can't do mild, or even hot food especially chicken wings. The, next time you're at Outback Steakhouse have them hold off on the breading, and no seasonings on the wings for you.
