I grabbed an early dinner at this Outback and was pleased. Service at the bar was fast and friendly. The free hot bread was delicious as always. I had a filet with fake with my choice of two sides. The steak was cooked perfectly. Veggies were a little mushy, but so it goes. The fries and steak had a great seasoning. It was free dessert day so I got to finish my meal with a sweet treat. If you like beer, don't miss the Outback Blond Ale - a inexpensive and refreshing accompaniment to your steak.

This is a typical Outback in that the food was consistently good and you almost always know what to expect. In this visit to Indy, I met Kellie the bartender that was my reason for a 2nd visit. It's always nice to find an engaging staffer and Kellie did not disappoint. She also directed me to the delicious strawberry salad. And best of all, the steak fillet meal shown cost me $82 CAD in Hamilton just 2 weeks ago. Yes, that's $70 USD for the same meal that cost me $30 in the good 'ol USA. Don't know what outback is pulling on the Canucks, but I won't ever eat at THAT location again. Kellie and her boss were astounded when I showed them a pic of the CAN menu and it's ridiculous pricing.

Celebrating 43rd anniversary but what could be better than outback. Good night I've had better service - very attentive, and personable without hovering. If you come here, ask for Cayla! Started with mushrooms. Boy, is this a large serving. Sorry, no picture just couldn't wait. I thought the wife would help but left on my own. Downsize the blooming chicken to lunch accordingly. If you'd like the onion, you would like the chicken. I added the loaded potato, which was perfection! Wife went with shrimp and fries really enjoyed the sauce. It was served with. She enjoyed the bread while I eat the mushrooms. All in all, a great meal!!!!

Regrettably I had to lower from a 5 star to a 4. They have changed since the last time I was here. They got rid of their 10oz filet, and the quality was not up to par with a good filet. They also apparently stopped seasoning their fries as well, very blah Next time I will have to get seasoning like the prime rib as it had a lot of seasoning and my now 8oz filet needed flavor and less fat. The bloomin onion was still good as well as the bread. Service was slower than normal due to being short staffed.

Outback is my favorite chain steakhouse. Their food is always top notch quality. Tip- ask for honey butter with your bread!! Bloomin Onions are better than any other competitor restaurants, especially with the homemade bloom sauce. They have the best ranch than any other restaurant. Steaks are always cooked perfectly, although I wish they would bring back the option for wood fire any steak! Drinks are always delicious. They have raised the prices quite a bit within the last few years. 6oz sirloins used to be $11 and now they're almost $15. Service is always pretty good, even with them being short staffed! I will admit I was a little frustrated with this particular visit. We received several $10 bonus cards over the holidays for buying gift cards there. The paper says only one per visit per table. We were sitting at the bar, and I asked before we ordered our meals that if my fiance and I got separate checks, we could use two. The bartender said yes. When the checks came, she had to leave and get the manager to take it off. The manager said absolutely not and would not honor our bonus. The bartender was very apologetic, but communication definitely needs to be improved.

I enjoy the Outback even though it is a chain restaurant. We've been going to this Outback on Rockville Road in Avon for years now. We find the preparation of our food is consistent, steaks are prepared as requested, our meals are served hot with excellent servlice. Seating consists of booths and tables surrounding the outside of the bar area. The bar area is first come seating where we always try to grab a high top table or booth. You can dine at the bar or have a cocktail while waiting for your text. They offer a nice selection of Speciality Cocktails, well stocked beer selection and a full bar to handle your cocktail request. I find myself ordering a House Salad as my Appetizer and another large Appetizer as my Entree. There are Mac and Cheese Bites, Coconut Shrimp, Three Cheese Steak Dip and Aussie Cheese Fries to name a few. We love the Kookaburra Wings whether as an Appetizer or as an Entree. The Wings are very tasty, lightly crisp with a flavorful seasoning. The Blooming Onion is another popular appetizer our family always orders. It will easily serve 4 people. The Salads are always crisp and fresh. I like the House Salad as it's full of veggies and a generous serving. Baked Potato and French Onion Soups are always served with a Soup of the Day. The 6 oz/8oz Filet is flavorful and very tender. My husband orders the the ribeye with baked potato and soup. Whether you're wanting a sirloin, prime rib, strip, porterhouse or burger you'll find it here. The Combos have a decent selection along with the seafood selection of white fish, lobster, shrimp and a couple different salmon entrees are the seafood options. Fried Chicken, Chicken & Shrimp Pasta or Alice Springs Grilled Chicken topped with sauteed mushrooms, crisp bacon, Monterrey Jack and Cheddar Cheese (one of my favorites) round out the menu. Save room for dessert and try the Chocolate Fondue Flight with several dippers, Salted Carmel Cookie, or the Chocolate Thunder Down Under (brownie) which are my top 3. The wait list can become full very quickly. If you go early (6'sh) or around 8:00 - 8:30 the wait will be reduced. Remember, the bar is first come but you have to be 21+. Lunch is served Monday - Saturday from 11:00 - 4:00p with many of the popular items on the lunch menu. Lunch is affordable with a diverse menu.

The place is pretty with a nice bar area and the ambiance is nice with good lighting. We sat in one of the booths which was dirty but on the plus side love the privacy of them. To start the food took a long time to come which is always understandable and sometimes expected at fine dining, but was not worth the wait or price. First, the steak was said to be good, but the asparagus side was underwhelming with little to no seasoning/ butter. The lamb chops come with Alfredo pasta and was not seasoned and just not good. We had three orders of those so everybody can't be wrong. The shrimp and linguine pasta was dry with no sauce at all. On top of that the noodles were brittle and hard. I asked if we could have more sauce which helped a little bit. But i could not eat it because the noodles themselves were hard and dry and i did not want to send anything back because of the company i had. The presentation was pretty but the execution did not land. We also got espresso martinis and raspberry martinis and those were made well. For a place like this you just expect a little more pizazz and things to be on point! Especially at the price point they are at i expect everything to be tasty and saucy and flavorful and juicy. Can skip this one.

They weren't short of two top tables either- there were at least two, two top tables that sat empty our entire dining experience. Our server was on it throughout the night. The food was good to okay. We started with bread service. One piece of my bread was cold, and the other was warm. The honey miso butter was maybe a highlight of the whole meal. I started with a kale Caesar salad. Nice crunch to it, and an appropriate amount of dressing. My wife and I split two meals. The first- Coq Au Vin Pot pie. The meat was flavorful- but man, there is a lot of pastry when compared to meat. We got the braised short ribs. I wouldn't call the short ribs, short ribs- it was more of like a pot roast taste and consistency. There was a decent flavor, but nothing overtly amazing. Our cocktails were strong, but nothing to write home about. Overall, wouldn't be my first stop for a restaurant downtown, but if I was invited by someone else, I would most likely try it again.
