I do not recommend this Outback. I went in for wings and fries on Wednesday. The food was horrible. I ordered my food to go. I asked for Fries with no salt and wings well done. Instead of fries with no salt it was overdone. The wings were salty. I ate some of the fries and my dog ate the wings. It really was a waste of money. The food was also cold. Came to Outback Steakhouse with my boyfriend because I was craving a steak -- an affordable steak -- and honestly, Outback hit the spot. Sometimes you just want something familiar that does what it's supposed to do, and this was exactly that. The service was excellent. I believe our waiter's name was Collin, and he truly made the experience better. Attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of from start to finish -- always appreciated. I ordered a 6oz steak with a sweet potato and a wedge salad. And if you've been following me, you already know... I'm a salad girl. This wedge salad did not disappoint. Stopped in for lunch with a friend. We sat at the bar. Nice attentive staff and clean establishment. I love the private parking lot and convenient location near the beltway. I got the pasta and my friend got the toomba(Spelling) salmon everything was seasoned well and came out quickly. I had a very disappointing experience with Outback's hiring process. I interviewed on Monday for a host position, and the lady i spoke with told me she really liked me and wanted me to come back for a second interview on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. I arrived Tuesday around 4:00 p.m., and as soon as I parked, I received a text message from Outback with a link to schedule an interview. Naturally, I assumed my interview needed to be rescheduled, so I used the link they sent me and booked the next available time, which was Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. When I arrived for the rescheduled interview today, I was told I was actually supposed to have come yesterday. I showed the employee the text message that Outback sent me, and she even took a picture of it to show management. After speaking with them, she came back and told me that the text was "only for scheduling a first-round interview" and that I should have ignored it and still come Tuesday. That makes absolutely no sense. If I had already completed my first interview and had a second interview scheduled, why would i be sent a scheduling link for a first interview at the exact time I was arriving for my second interview? Any reasonable person would assume the link was being sent because interview time needed to be changed. Instead of acknowledging the confusion caused by their own system, it felt like blame was placed on me. This entire experience came across as disorganized and unprofessional. I was genuinely interested in working here, because I've worked at outback in a different state and really enjoyed my experience and had been wanting to re-join the company... but instead my time wasted and then I was spoken to like I was at fault for following the instructions their system sent me, I hope the hiring process is improved so future applicants don't experience the same confusion and disappointment. read more

We had an early dinner reservation at 5:15 and everything went smoothly. Ashley was our waitress and did a wonderful job making sure we were taken care of. Waters came out exactly as ordered, and the food didn't take long to arrive. Everything came out hot and fresh. We started with the baked potato soup and a Cesar salad, then the Shrimp on the Barbie with fries, which was tasty and cooked well. The broccoli was excellent, fresh and flavorful. The 6 oz steak, however, was mostly tendon and unfortunately very tough to eat, which was disappointing compared to the rest of the meal. Due to time restrictions on our part, we got cheesecakes to go -- a sweet finish we were glad to have later. I had such a great experience at this Outback thanks to the manager, Ladarius. I initially called to place a curbside order, but the phone interaction wasn't the best. When I came inside, Ladarius listened, apologized sincerely, took my order himself, and went above and beyond to make things right. The best part was that he had the team member who answered the phone bring out my order and apologize. We have eaten here a handful of times and have never had a bad meal. Last time we went we spilt a the largest steak meal they had with the app of loaded fries, to share. All of the food was great. I'm honestly very disappointed. My family and I always come to outback and I guess the guy handling my to go order today. Thought I wasn't gonna tip because I tend to give my tips cash when I place to go orders however he probably thought I wasn't gonna because I drove up to curbside and was waiting for my food to be ready, but I waited for about 15 minutes to 20 minutes. At some point, I decided to go in and ask if my order was ready and the guy was just standing there on his phone and you could tell that he realized he messed up because my order was right under his nose -literally. At that point he started trying to offer me sausages and I don't know what but there was absolutely no point if my food was already cold. My son and I went for the Aussie special. When we went in for lunch half of the restaurant was filled. The hostess was cordial and seated us promptly. The waiter also came pretty quickly and got our order and gave us food promptly. The only minus is that the restaurant could be cleaner. In my pre-reviewing days, I found most of their food seemed pushed through with no attention to quality. I had dinner with my aunt Friday night and since it was her turn to pick the restaurant, this is where we landed. First, the service. We were immediately greeted and seated with a smile even though we requested a couple options before deciding on where to sit... it was cold outside, and we were seeking a warm booth. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We ordered wine and talked for a bit before getting to our appetizer decision. The server took their time with us and never rushed our evening. Of course, we settled on that lovely 1620 calorie Blooming Onion. It is delicious. You just have to not worry about the calories and know you got to watch your intake for a full week after! It is the one thing I knew I liked there, and it is great for sharing. They start you out with complimentary bread and butter, but I did not taste it. It' a dark bread. I am not a big fan of the darker ones. My aunt, on the other hand, loves it. I wasn't super hungry after the Blooming Onion, so I ordered their appetizer of coconut shrimp and a wedge salad. The wedge salad was perfect with the bacon crumbles, grape tomatoes and dressing. I don't know what it is, but I love wedge salads! The coconut shrimp were honestly the best coconut shrimp I have ever had! No lie. I have been to amazing Florida seaside restaurants and eaten in 5-star seafood restaurants in Galveston, but never had shrimp like this! I have lived near this restaurant for years and periodically give up on ordering from them after they get an order so egregiously wrong that I'm tired of them (mind you these are all pick-up to go orders). My husband and I went to the Outback Steakhouse while we were dating during the glory days of the Rockets. We ate at the bar and had lovely times. Tonight he was working late and so I decided to go in and get the porterhouse steak with 2 sides. We have shared it numerous times. I ordered it Med rare and when it came out the filet side was almost nonexistent. So I asked the server to see the manager. He brought the manager out and all was fine the manager stated that the steak did not present well and offered another porterhouse or a 6 oz filet to make it right. I opted for the 6 oz filet. All was well until the manager circled back by to let me know that he wanted me to know that this was the way most porterhouse-steaks presented and that I should not expect more than a sliver of filet. Insinuating that I was ignorant of what a porterhouse should be or that I was expecting more than what I ordered. Well this did not sit well with me. A nice dinner turned into a crummy moment. Outback can be a hit or miss proposition. Today was a "hit". The dining room open, but not crowded. Our waitress, Annette, was on the spot offering water and taking our drink order. The bar was exceptionally slow pouring two glasses of wine. We ordered way too much food. A bloomin onion, the 8oz sirloin for the Mrs. and the 8oz sirloin with 6 Aussie ribs for me. Both dinners came with a side salad and choice of potato. The salad is as basic as you can get. Lettuce, cucumber, tomato and red onion. And of course, croutons. We ordered our steaks medium rare. They came red center. I think medium would have been more to our preference. Outback brags about their 17 spices; but I really didn't taste any of them. My baked potato was thoroughly cooked, but soggy on the outside. Probably wrapped in foil and kept in a steamer. All in all, a very good experience. Outback doesn't pretend to be the high end steak houses, so the two of us probably ate for the price of one dinner at a Perry's. And the best part, we have great leftovers for dinner. I work at a nearby preschool and the manager at Outback Steakhouse was so kind and dropped off multiple bags of food for the staff/teachers here for free. The secretary told the afternoon workers to take some home. It was totally unexpected and made our day! I took home the loaded fries. It had melted cheese and bacon bits over them and it was tasty. It was a tad too salty but I think if it came with ranch it would've been perfect.
