Stopped in for lunch with a friend. We sat at the bar. Nice attentive staff and clean establishment. I love the private parking lot and convenient location near the beltway. I got the pasta and my friend got the toomba(Spelling) salmon everything was seasoned well and came out quickly. We tried the smoked old fashioned it had a good smoky flavor but was a little too heavy on the cinnamon flavor for my liking. The pina koala martini is delicious. Tropical vibes it's similar to a pina colada but is a hint stronger.

We had an early dinner reservation at 5:15 and everything went smoothly. Ashley was our waitress and did a wonderful job making sure we were taken care of. Waters came out exactly as ordered, and the food didn't take long to arrive. Everything came out hot and fresh. We started with the baked potato soup and a Cesar salad, then the Shrimp on the Barbie with fries, which was tasty and cooked well. The broccoli was excellent, fresh and flavorful. The 6 oz steak, however, was mostly tendon and unfortunately very tough to eat, which was disappointing compared to the rest of the meal. Due to time restrictions on our part, we got cheesecakes to go -- a sweet finish we were glad to have later. Overall, it was a great deal for a three-course dinner, with attentive service and smooth timing. Ambiance was casual and clean. Ashley helped me when the gift card didn't go through and took it to the back. I do like Outback but not the steak I got today.

I always looked at Outback as a childhood favorite, nothing more, nothing less....but let me tell you - I was wrong. It's still just as good as I remember. The food was delicious, steak cooked to perfection, salmon juicy, Mac and cheese perfect amount of cheese and noodle, and the veggies but wait, there's more, they have a $9 margarita that can hold its own. Our server was super cool and attentive. The restaurant is a very casual attire spot with a sports bar feel by the bar. Don't sleep on Outback like I did!

It was a beautiful night to enjoy dinner with my team after a Conference planning meeting at the Marriott in Westchase area (Houston). We selected Outback Steakhouse as the place to dine. Talia was our waitstaff and she was gracious and hospital from the start. Service was fantastic! Restaurant was clean and bright with festive Christmas decorations around, very fun! Dinner was tasty, but the highlight of the evening was the gingerbread cookie martini, talk about delicious! Yum! Beautifully served, smooth, creamy and with a cute little Koala bear donned in a Christmas outfit, that you could take home! So cute!

Well my department was having a year end lunch and this was literally down the street from my office. And Outback did not disappoint. We arrived at 11:45 and the hostess quickly sat us down (party of 9). The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered our food and drinks and were greeted to complimentary bread and butter. The lunch menu is great and fresh as well. Well worth the price. I would highly recommend Outback for a quick lunch if you're in a rush. The quality of the food is amazing.

It also felt like a third space of sorts, because I was hanging out with a well connected friend, and everyone who came in was a who's who of the Houston restaurant/nightlife scene, and gathered for what turned out to be an unplanned hang out. They were hosting a vinyl swap night, so folks were coming in to peruse the many boxes of vinyls, and a DJ spun classic r&b tunes. I hear that on some nights they make space for a dance floor so people can show off their best two step in the space. The drinks were great and well priced but the wine selection is what got me. I was told they were inspired by Japan's many vinyl listening bars-- having been to many across Japan as well as many NYC imitators, this place actually impressively comes close. A true gem in Montrose.

Regarding the food, the Frisée Salad was pretty good, well dressed and flavorful. The chicken sandwich was okay. The batter was crispy and flaky but it had no flavor. What made it a lot better was the coleslaw that brought a great deal of tang and moisture. The steak was not quite for me. It came on a bed of sauce that was flavorful with fresh veggies but it did not go well with the steak. Perhaps chicken would've suited better. The steak itself was dry and quite chewy. For dessert we had the carrot cake tres leches which was decent. The carrot cake flavor was there but the moisture from the cake was not fully spread in the cake. Overall nothing here was bad but with the plethora of restaurants in the Houston area I can't justify recommending or returning.

The food didn't take long to come out and was so darn good. It was probably one of the best steak nights I've had in a while. We had the ribeyes, mash potato, mac and cheese, green beans, and French fries. The steak was seasoned perfectly and grilled to the perfect temperature to my liking. We are still talking about it, I can't wait to come back and try their chimichurri sauce. We ended with the strawberry and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cheese cake. Be sure to make reservations as I came on a Saturday night and it was hustling and bustling in there. I opted to sit at the bar since the wait time was 1.5 hours for traditional table seating. The second floor was hot, the bartender was sweating up there! So I opted to head back downstairs to the bar which was much better. Customer service at the bar was lacking, the bar area isn't that big and it's rare that I've come across this. I ordered the B&B Steak House Salad for an appetizer. The salad was just ok, steak was served cold which I wasn't expecting and the balsamic dressing was the star of the dish. I had a Cosmobelle I expected more notes of papaya and dragon fruit but the cranberry juice overpowered it. For my entree I had the Surf & Turf, the steak was good but I've had better, mash potatoes were creamy, and the stuffed shrimp taste great but the sweet chilli lime sauce didn't pair well with the dish. I was too full for dessert so I took my chocolate cake home to go! Cake was moist, notes of coffee were perfection but the icing tastes like chocolate pudding. Overall the food was decent not a place I'd say I'd run back to.

The skirt steak turned out much better than I expected. For medium rare it was still so tender, juicy, and the roasted garlic elevated the flavor, I'd highly recommend it. Overall very well seasoned. Side note it's 8oz which on the HRW menu is the same as the regular menu. We added on the Squid Ink Campanelle which I've heard is really good and a must-try. It's very rich in flavor and the squid ink doesn't taste earthy or anything. If I remember correctly our server said it was mostly for color. Needless to say I'd highly recommend this as well, probably one of the more unique pasta dishes I've had. Service was great, they take your used plates promptly and give you fresh clean ones. Our server was friendly and was able to explain how the HRW menu worked so we appreciated that. Though the menu is a little pricey, I'd still come back to try their other dishes in the future!

Service was amazing-- we loved our waiter who was a combination of polite, funny, and knowledgeable, and everyone gave us a smile. All the dishes were beautifully presented and flavorful but definitely on the heavier side. - Beet salad (5/5)-- wow, never had a beet salad like this one before! So much flavor with a tanginess from vinegar sweetened by the blueberries and beets. The beets didn't taste very earthy (aka like dirt) compared to most beet salad. This was really well executed :) - Caesar salad (3.5/5)-- Credence's spin on Caesar, which according to my Caesar salad pro diner, didn't really taste like Caesar salad. Also very tangy and tart but the pro still enjoyed it as a salad dish. - Roasted cabbage (4/5)-- big fan of the way they roasted this, perfect tenderness without being cabbage mush! Definitely a heavy dish, especially for a vegetable option, as it was swimming in a butter cream sauce that started to congeal as it cooled off. Would choose this more as an indulgent appetizer rather than a healthy veggie option. I wonder if one could ask for the sauce on the side... - Tuna tostada (3.5/5)-- if you like strong flavors, this one packs a punch. The gochujang aioli beneath the tuna is really concentrated, making it difficult to taste the actual tuna. There's a bit of heat but thankfully I wouldn't say it was spicy. Fun to try. The tostada itself was very dense and almost a bit bread-y versus a crispy chip texture. - Crab fried rice (4/5)-- comes with lobster foam that is mixed table side and a generous amount of crabmeat lumps. The rice actually had a nice texture without being too... grainy / individualized, but it was too salty for me. - Akaushi Wagyu beef (4.5/5)-- loved the texture which was tender but with some chew (was expecting more of a melt-in-the-mouth texture though) and the veggies that it came with. It was heavily salted, too much so for me. Would've been perfect with less salt since there's already a chimichurri sauce with it. - Peanut butter tart (4.5/5)-- peanut butter lovers rejoice! The chocolate filling was rich, thick, and sweet which was complemented nicely with the whipped cream (not sweet at all). The peanut flavor really shined. The crust didn't have much of a taste by itself and was sandy in texture, not sure if on purpose or over-baked and dried out. Either way, the tart looked impressive when it arrived and was delectable-- my favorite bite of the night! Overall a nice experience! Although there was a mess up and the rest of our two salads and crab rice wasn't packed with our other food to take home; I was pretty sad about that since it was quite a bit of food (and $$). I might return for that peanut butter tart, but everything else was too heavy and too salty for me. I'm personally not a huge butter fan, but if you are, definitely make a reservation for a special occasion or date!
