Service was awesome, but there was a lot of fat on our steaks. My husband got the ribeye and it was basically gristle. I go NY Steip as it had thick outer layer of fat. Some people love this. We still had a great time because we had super service and the rest of our food was perfect. read more

Ambience was very good in the restaurant. The booth had ample space. The bar looked nice and spread out. As soon as we sat down we were greeted by a very nice and friendly waitress. She quickly brought ice water with lemon. We had driven an hour for the Prime Rib. When we ordered , we were told the prime rib was only served from Thursday to Sunday. The manager was very nice, apologized and gave us a complimentary appetizer. The Outback "deluxe" hamburger was not to my liking and lacked any warmth in temperature. The sauce was too overpowering. I like to taste the meat. The buttered potato was excellent. The shrimp appetizer was abundantly seasoned. The shrimp had little substance . We didn't have any dessert . My margarita was served in a water glass 3/4 filled with ice, so very little beverage and the margarita was clear. You could see thru it so ???? Server asked if it was ok, I said not really and he walked away. Our coconut shrimp was only breaded on one side and very well done. Almost burnt. Yuck.our salads , and I love OB salad . Was WARM!! Yuk. Our steaks were ordered medium, they were delivered medium rare yuk. I sent mine back. My baked potato was warm and the sour cream was really warm. I ordered extra sour cream, it came in an aluminum dish and was WARM! Yuk. My husbands coffee was seriously cold. They brought another one it was hot. What a wonderful surprise! The staff were friendly and helpful and food was excellent! George was our server and he was terrific! Went above and beyond. Kind and considerate of all. I watched him with a large family that was celebrating an older gentleman's birthday. George was very attentive to them throughout their time in the restaurant. My husband and I were so pleased and surprised by the staff courtesy! This is an older restaurant in Asheville, so I thought it may have 'gone downhill'. Was I ever wrong! Totally opposite! After a 10 1/2 hour drive to Asheville, the three of us were hungry. As we arrived, we saw a sign for Outback and chose them for dinner. It was late, 9:47p, but we were tired and hungry and knew we would be in and out. We walk up to the bar as no one greeted us, not even the server who walked out of the bathroom past us to go bus a table. As we get to the bar, which was occupied by two ladies and three occupied surrounding tables, the manager, Jamie maybe, announces to the area and bar tender "Who let them in? Aren't the doors locked?" She huffs, asks for her card, and proceeds to go into the kitchen to make herself dinner as within 5 mins she is seated at the bar with us eating and playing on her phone for the duration of our stay. The bar tender helps us, we eat, and leave around 40 mins later with 2 tables still seated in the restaurant. It was an experience to say the least. read more

Ordered dinner delivery through door dash on a Sunday night around 7:00. Delivery was quick and thorough; food arrived warm enough to eat (which usually concerns me when ordering hamburgers because they always arrive cold). Burgers were delicious and cooked perfectly. Nothing much to say beyond that honestly. The cookie w/ ice cream for desert tasted a lot better than I thought it would. The ice cream had melted, which was expected, but it actually made the cookie even better. You get what you would expect from a corporate chain; consistency. Costs were a little high for a couple basic burgers, but I guess that's inflation for you. We will definitely be back to try their steaks; hopefully dining inside next time. read more

We are new to the area(6 months)and decided to give it a try.We lived in Memphis and their Outback removed the wedge salad from their menu. We were pleased that you still have this salad and it was delicious.The margarita was very good.The coconut shrimp was disappointing with way too much breading.(will not order it again)Our steaks were good and to the temperature we requested.My baked potato must have been in the kitchen for a while.It was luke warm and overdone.The mashed potatoes were barely warm.The wait staff was very nice but didn't check on how the food was. Well we decided to stop and eat at Outback Steakhouse in Asheville, NC on our way back from Grandfather Mountain. We've been here about 15 minutes and our waitress just came up to serve us. Business seems to be steady and they are practicing social distancing. All of the servers are wearing gloves and masks which makes me feel somewhat safe...but of course there are always "some" that won't wear their masks This is one of the very few times that I've been to a restaurant since Covid started. I wish wearing a mask was enforced but...(((sigh))) whatever...just stay the hell away from ME! ...just kidding...but I'm serious! I ordered chicken on the barbie with a baked potato and salad. We were seated in no mans land meaning we were seated where there were no waiters so it took a minute for someone to take our orders but Dana stepped up and took care of us. On a not very busy Tuesday night (maybe 15 tables and plenty of staff present on the floor) at 8 PM, it took 10 minutes for staff to take our order. We ordered a bowl of baked potato soup & blue cheese pecan salad with mixed greens and a side chicken breast. It took another 20 minutes, for the most shallow "bowl" of baked potato soup I have ever seen in a restaurant to arrive. Soup had crunchy potato, mixed with the ok cooked potato, in every bite. This was a $7.99 bowl/cup that presented nicely until you realized there were about 14 total bites in this. But they were crunchy, so that made it better, right? No The pecan/blue cheese salad had not one piece of crumbled blue cheese you could see with your eye. Additionally, the saddest pieces of iceberg lettuce I have ever seen outside of a dumpster. I asked the runner (who delivered our food) if this was the salad I had ordered because it was to have spring mix and blue cheese. He replied the spring mix was iceberg and Radicchio. I asked is this was spring mix ( on the menu) he said this is all we have. When I asked about the blue cheese, he said, "it has been mixed in with the salad. If you would like more, I can bring you some more." I agreed. While I was waited, I looked fruitlessly for even one piece of blue cheese in my existing salad. There was none. This was a slimy, unappetizing mess. When he returned with a small plastic cup of blue cheese, I asked him to remove the salad and he did so. The only bright note in the meal was the blandly seasoned chicken breast that I ate 100% of. I was so grateful for those seven thin strips of chicken. Finished this "meal" in about 4 minutes. Our waitress walked by multiple times after the chicken plate was licked clean and did not offer up a check. After another 10 minutes she brought the machine ready with check that needed signing, but no pen. This meal was $4 tea, $5 chicken ( less than you get on Chick Fil A biscuit) and 7.99 "bowl" of baked and crunchy potato soup. Grand total of $17 for worst restaurant meal in decades, maybe ever. That is an hour of my life I will never get back. My sweet table mate did leave a greater than 25% cash tip on the table. I came home and ate homemade delicious shepherds pie leftovers. Never again would I order take out or dine in at this establishment. I am a local and Asheville offers MANY other choices tasty choices. Find one. read more

Ate here last Friday, our server was wonderful however I don't recall his name off the top of my head. He was very welcoming, attentive, and nice. Food came out quickly both appetizers and main courses. I had the margarita boomerang and enjoyed the opportunity to taste four types. And then of course the wallaby darned my personal peach favorite. The lobster tails were great along with Brussels and mashed potatoes. We enjoyed a free onion blooming onion with my friends rewards on the app, and also got the cheese fries, both great. Just wish they layered the cheese throughout the fries instead of just on top, because eventually you eat the cheese layer and then just have fries. That's pretty common across the board for restaurants though. So far, I've never had a bad experience here. The only negative was I could not join the wait-list on the app, it kept making me go in circles choosing my location and then never actually allowing me to get on a list. SHAMEFUL! As a frequent Outback diner I felt confidant ordering 2 party platters. I could have not been more wrong about anything! I was SO embarrassed and felt beyond cheated out of 85$ To say a pile of crap is an understatement. The steak was nothing but a pile of leavings grizzled, tasteless, and tough large uneven pieces. As a chef I have literally thrown away a bowl of trimmings that looked better than what we received as a "party platter" The shrimp were at least palatable but again to use the term "party platter" could not be further from the truth. It is no stretch of the truth if you see the pics of what we received you would think it was trash. This level of misrepresentation of goods is almost criminal. The online order process was easy and curbside delivery went smoothly but the quality of what we received was beyond unacceptable, shameful, and again SO embarrassing as the platters were part of a Covid survivors birthday. The Asheville, NC Tunnel Road store should be ashamed of themselves and honestly close the doors if what I received was the best they could do! read more

I almost never leave reviews. I have been to several outback restaurants at various locations in a handful of states many many times over the past three decades. I must say that in 30 years of patronizing the franchise I have never had such a bad meal until tonight. I have never been served such a gross and disgusting piece of meat anywhere before. I ordered the large ribeye. It was really thin like a skirt steak. Half of it was glistening fat. Not marbling but chunks of fat and gristle. It was supposed to be "seasoned and seared". We were given a gift card for Outback so we visited for lunch one day. We knew we wanted a Bloomin' Onion, but were unsure what other appetizer would be best. The waitress suggested Chips with Beef Queso from their current specials menu. Both came out warm and cooked perfectly. They had all the flavor and grubby-ness we were hoping for! Very delicious! I just moved here from Florida so this was my first time eating Outback Steakhouse Salad in North Carolina. Problems: I ordered my steak medium... it was well done The salad dressing (blue cheese vinaigrette: which is using amazing) was horrible, it seemed old and it did not taste good at all The bread did not come with any butter... In my notes I asked them to cut up the steak because of my broken hand, they didn't. Last, I usually get a lot more steak than I did today, it was a small amount, over cooked, and chewy. Placed a pick up order & was told it would be ready in "30". There were no open parking spots for pick up orders, just a lonngggg line of cars waiting to get their orders. Got a text before I left the house that my order was "almost ready", and 1 hour later, no new updates. Sitting in a line with 6 cars ahead of me and one man was getting names & bringing an order out one at a time. When I called to see if my order was even ready, I was told to come inside and get it myself, but I was locked in a car line and could not abandon my car in the line. Customers who ate inside were also getting blocked in by the pick up line when they tried to leave. My food was cold. The pasta noodles were dried out & very little alfredo sauce. And I don't know what was up with that "steak" --- it looked like hamburger. The side order of brussell sprouts was soaking in an inch of oil --- that was a waste of $6.99. The coconut shrimp appetizer was over cooked and bordered on dark almost burnt. We ordered two porterhouse steaks at 33 a piece. My steak looked like it was made at I hop ( the super thin steak you get with eggs) our asparagus was so disgusting we didn't eat even it eat.
