The same place where I once ordered the Dahnu Wrap, one of the stellar dishes written in my previous review before it disappeared into thin air. All the same staff working here were mellow. The small indoor seating area was limited; thus, takeout would be much easier. I'm feeling so good getting used to raw foods that there are so many to choose from. Since I chose both the raw cheesecake and the Sem Sandwich, I might come back for another. I'll have to wait for raw açaí during hot weather days. I hope other Yelp elites will choose to go to Ping's Raw Foods and experience it themselves. Vegan raw foods similar to sushi are, to me, have probiotics that are good for the gut.

Incredible Treats by Ping's Raw Foods!…read more I just had to share my experience with Ping's Raw Foods because, honestly, their desserts are next-level! I've been trying to eat healthier, but I still crave something sweet, and Ping's has been a total game-changer for me. First of all, the ice cream is unbelievable. I was so impressed by how creamy and rich it is, especially considering it's all raw and made with natural ingredients. I tried the berry and the date flavor, and both were out of this world--so full of flavor and perfectly sweetened! The granola is another thing I can't get enough of. It's crunchy, flavorful, and just sweet enough without being overwhelming. I love enjoying it every morning with some yogurt, and it's the perfect way to start the day. I also ordered one of the cakes, and wow, it did not disappoint! Incredibly wonderful and full of flavor. I've had vegan raw cakes before, but this was hands down the best I've ever had. And the dessert squares--they're like little bites of heaven! I love having one (or two) after dinner. They're perfectly balanced with just the right mix of textures and flavors, and they totally hit the spot when I need a sweet fix. Honestly, everything I've tried from Ping's Raw Foods has exceeded my expectations. I can't believe how amazing healthy desserts can taste! If you're looking for guilt-free indulgence, these desserts are an absolute must. And..I just found out that Ping's Raw Foods is making some exciting changes!! If you're a fan of their incredible vegan ice cream, granola, cakes, and dessert squares like I am, you'll want to hear this. They're switching things up and moving from wholesale to retail orders now! What does that mean for us? Well, no more waiting for your favorite treats to hit the shelves in stores--you can now order directly from them and pick up your goodies at three different locations on select days. I'm really excited because it means you can get those fresh, raw, and healthy desserts you love on your own schedule. No more hunting down stock in stores or worrying if they've sold out--just place an order and pick it up when it's convenient for you. I don't have all the details yet, but I'm definitely keeping my eye out for more info. If you haven't tried their stuff yet, now's the perfect time to give it a go!

The quality of the products is second to none, i.e. the almond butter is the best among any brand I've ever tasted, and the seeds, spices, honey, cacao, coconut butters, sugars, grains, nuts and oils that I have ordered have all been extremely fresh and vibrant-tasting. Even though the products had to be shipped across the country from the West to the East coast to reach my door, they always arrive undamaged and taste like they have just been harvested. I wish I lived in Berkeley because then I would be begging for a job at LTC! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping educate and supply the healthiest living foods so that we all can live a long and healthy life!

The almonds, and dried fruits are very good and worth the price. The dried bananas are unique and very tasty. They also sell a "raw" olive oil which is light and very delicious. They feature grains and seeds, agave syrup, honey and even bee pollen. So if you are into healthy foods, this place wont disappoint! Prices are a bit steep. But the freshness of the products are far superior than the brands norrmally found in health food stores.

Awesome place and wonderful staff!…read more We came to Cured after meaning to go for some time, and can't wait to go back! As it was our first visit, we got the full download on the menu. Recommend getting between 5-7 dishes depending on how hungry you are. Went with the mussels, oysters, albacore, king salmon, and the star of the show, the bluefin tuna cowboy style. Every dish was beautifully plated with its own complex and distinct flavors. The servers do a great job of timing the dishes just right once you're ready for the next one. We wish we had more room in our stomach to try more dishes from the menu.

You can choose between bar seating or a table--we went with a table. The space is cute, modern, and has a great vibe. One thing I really appreciated is that all the sashimi dishes came pre-seasoned with thoughtful sauces and toppings. We didn't even need soy sauce or ginger--everything was already balanced and flavorful. Oysters (3.5/5) Solid. Fresh and clean, and great value for a dozen. We added "the works" for $3, which came with extra sauces--definitely worth it and added a nice variety of flavors. Uni Toast (4/5) Really good. Served on a crispy ube toast with great presentation. Definitely on the pricier side, but expected for good uni. Worth trying if you're into uni. Tuna Crudo (4.5/5) Really enjoyed this. Flavor was good, but the crispy bread was a highlight for me. Some might think it's too crispy, but I loved the texture. The wagyu juices tied everything together nicely. DIY Handrolls (4/5) Fun concept--comes with mini sheets of seaweed, rice, and hamachi so you can build your own. The fish tasted fresh and high-quality. The only downside is I wish they gave more seaweed. Cured Chirashi Don (4.5/5) The sushi rice was honestly one of the most flavorful I've had--very pronounced vinegar taste (in a good way). The fish was fresh and of high quality. Definitely a standout. Overall, this place leans on the pricier side since it's small plates/tapas style--we ended up ordering around 7-8 dishes to feel full. That said, the flavors are unique and I liked how some of the fish was lightly seared, adding a nice aroma and texture. Service was solid--our server checked in regularly. They also brought out cookies and milk for my birthday, which was a nice touch (not free--$8--but still worth it). Would come back to try more dishes

A living, breathing celebration of history, legacy, and indigenous roots, Peña Pachamama stands tall as a beacon calling people -- especially Native and South American communities -- back to their heritage. From the moment you enter, you're enveloped in vibrant color and rhythm. The ambience is electric yet sacred, filled with intention and spirit. The menu, mostly vegan and raw, feels like an extension of the earth -- wholesome, healing, and deeply rooted in Pachamama herself. But the soul of Peña Pachamama lies in its performances. Dancers move with raw emotion, blending the passion of tango and flamenco with indigenous rhythms. You're not just watching -- you're part of it. The performers often invite the audience to join, blurring the line between spectator and participant in the most joyful way. The instruments, many of South American origin, carry ancient vibrations. Before each performance, there's an introduction -- not just of the dance or music, but of the why. The significance. The roots. It's a moving reminder that in today's world, inclusion must mean honoring those who've been forgotten too long. What stands out most is the deep respect they give to the culture, the traditions, and the artists -- not as entertainment, but as sacred carriers of heritage. Every gesture, every note, every step is offered with reverence. This isn't just entertainment -- it's cultural reclamation. It's spiritual. It's personal. The mousse here is absolutely exquisite -- a masterclass in texture, temperature, and consistency. Every spoonful felt like silk on the palate. Truly mind-blowing. I also had the lasagna, and it was exceptional. Vegetarian lasagna is a rare find done right, but this one hit every note -- rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying without being heavy. It's comfort food elevated with finesse. The entire platter was beautifully presented and thoughtfully composed. Every element felt intentional, and together they created a meal that was both nourishing and exciting. As someone who seeks out vegetarian options, this was a standout experience -- one I'd gladly return for. Bonus: Marilyn Monroe once graced this space. So did several Grammy-winning artists. But what makes Peña Pachamama iconic is not who's been -- it's what it continues to be.

I had the opportunity to visit the this location yesterday (4.30.26). The restaurant was absolutely beautiful, the ambiance of the restaurant...unmatched. As a writer imagine my utter shock and dismay to be racially discriminated against by the Host of the Waterbar when myself and a colleague were told there were no outside seats only to watch four white men to be given the choice to be seated outside or inside, immediately following what we were told. While they had a party of four, there were only two of us. The ambience here was one of the most beautiful...but we were only privy to a glimpse of the luxury design as we we whisked off down a few steps to the back corner of the restaurant where no one was dining...as if we were escaping some war torn country and they had taken pity on us. While the Indian woman who I dined with voiced her disdain for the obvious difference in treatment she believed we should stay. I have to admit, I cannot tell you how exceptional Chef Mark Franz cuisine was...as it was memorably overshadowed by the bitter taste of racism. Unfortunately my palette is not accustomed to the savoury sting of disparate treatment. I'm not sure if Mr. Kuleto is aware that he has a middle aged white male with racist views representing his good name, but if not...it's about time he was made aware. After reading some reviews here I knew it was a small place, so I was pleasantly surprised I could get a reservation during our trip to Sausalito. My husband and I had recently enjoyed some caviar for the first time but we are no experts, and I was a little worried that he might not get enough to eat. Turns out we both left perfectly satisfied. The place is tiny but so elegant. The bar is right in front of the kitchen that is sparkling clean and the chef prepares everything right there. There is a little high top table too and there was a couple there when we arrived, but afterward it was just us and we felt like royalty treated to our private dinner. We aren't caviar experts by any means but Yo did a great job explaining the different caviar flights including where it comes from - turns out the white sturgeon is farmed in the Sacramento Delta. We chose the Menage a Trois white sturgeon flight and it was so elegant. Three kinds of caviar plus all these homemade breads and crackers to enjoy it with. Every bite was amazing and I think we only left a couple of chives. Afterward we picked a couple of other dishes - the Chawanamushi and the Dungeness crab ravioli. Both were exquisite- in flavor and presentation. For dessert we had the sweet potato - Yo described it as a ganache - which I couldn't really picture but it was a very accurate description. It came with asian pear and was just the perfect finish to our meal. I had a couple glasses of French bubbly with my meal - normally I can't do more than one glass of champagne but it was crisp and yummy and paired well with everything we ate. When we were finished we got our check in a cute sturgeon pulp science fiction book. It was the final thoughtful detail to a wonderful evening. Chef Lance is a real artist and he really thinks through the ingredients and the flavors. Everything was so delicious and creative. I hope we get to come back again someday.
